The CM Zone Wireless Domestic Heting Zoning System offers high levels of comfort nd energy svings for the home. The stndrd CM Zone Pck contins Room Unit, Rely Module nd six Rditor Controllers ll pre-bound with three Rditor Controllers bound to Zone nd three bound to Zone. The System cn be expnded or modified nd the methods used re described within this Guide. To get the best from the instlled system it is recommended to use Honeywell VT5, VT7 or VT00 TRV bodies nd Honeywell DU45 Automtic Bypss Vlve. Zone A typicl trditionl system with open vented hot wter storge tnk Conventionl Boilers These re used in trditionl centrl heting systems in the UK. A typicl COMBI system Combintion Boilers With combintion boiler, hot wter nd centrl heting requirements re provided from the one unit.

Section 4: HC60NG Rely Module The HC60NG Rely Module is n integrl prt of the CM Zone Control System. It is designed to control Domestic Boiler, Vlve, pump or Electric Heting pplinces. In the stndrd CM Zone Pck the HC60NG Rely Module is configured to control Boiler bsed upon demnd signls received from the HR80UK Rditor Controllers either directly or vi Y Pln / S Pln connection described below. For control of other pplictions see Section 8: Chnging the Configurtion.! Cution! When selecting the operting site of the HC60NG ensure tht the distnce to other wireless devices such s wireless hedphones, cordless phones etc. is t lest -m. HC60NG Rely Module Plese note: Mximum wire size.5mm. SPDT rely suitble for 4...30V~, 0A resistive, 3A inductive The HC60NG is rdio frequency (RF) device nd for the best performnce should be instlled in n open spce. Leve t lest 30cm distnce from ny metl objects including wll boxes nd the boiler. NOTE: The HC60NG contins no user serviceble prts. It should be opened nd instlled by qulified instller only. AM PM Section 5: CM67z Room Unit The CM67z Room Unit provides centrl point from which to configure the system nd set the time nd temperture profiles for ech Zone. At given time, s defined within Zone profile, the CM67z Room Unit trnsmits the required temperture setpoint to the respective HR80UK Rditor Controllers, locl temperture control nd override is then provided t ech HR80UK Rditor Controller. In the defult setting, the CM67z Room Unit on-bord sensor is disbled. This my be enbled for certin pplictions s described within Section 8: Chnging the configurtion For norml opertion refer to the CM Zone User Guide CM67z Room Unit! Cution! When selecting the operting site of the CM67z ensure tht the distnce to other wireless devices such s wireless hedphones, cordless phones etc. is t lest -m nd t lest m to other electricl devices. Do not mount the CM67z on metl surfces or wll boxes. Positioning The CM67z is RF device nd for the best performnce should be instlled in n open spce. Leve t lest 30cm distnce from ny metl objects including wll boxes. Setting the clock 4...7 3 4 5 6 MAN MAN Move the CM67z slider to position. When setting the dte nd time for the first time fter btteries were inserted the zone controller disply will flsh s shown. Press the + or - buttons to set the current yer (e.g. 03 = 003). 5...7 Tble Stnd Wll Mounting 3 4 5 6 MAN MAN Press the button to go to the month: Press the + or - to set the current month (e.g. 0 = Jnury). Press the button to go to the dy of the month: 6 Dy of the week indictor...7 3 4 5 6 MAN MAN Strt up 3 Press the + or - to set the current dy of the month. Check if the dy mrker on the disply indictes the correct dy of the week. 7...7 3 4 5 6 MAN MAN Remove the insultion tb from the CM67z bttery comprtment. Press button to go to the time: Press the + or - until the correct time is displyed. Holding the button for few seconds will chnge the time slowly then quickly. 4

Section 6: HR80UK Rditor Controller The HR80UK Rditor Controller provides locl room temperture control bsed upon setpoint informtion received from the CM67z Room Unit nd sends Lod Demnd signls bsed upon room conditions to the HC60NG Rely Module. Setpoints cn be temporrily overridden using the djustment dil. The HR80UK cn be fitted onto Honeywell VT5, VT7, VT00 nd mny other mnufcturers TRV bodies with M30x.5mm thred nd.9-0.5 mm vlve closing point, dptors my be vilble for mnufcturers with non stndrd connections. For more informtion contct Honeywell Technicl Help Desk, detils on the bck pge. HR80UK Rditor Controller! Cution! When selecting the operting site of the HR80UK ensure tht the distnce to other wireless devices such s wireless hedphones, cordless phones etc. is t lest -m. In the stndrd CM Zone Pck the HR80UK Rditor Controllers re pre-bound to ech zone s indicted by the zone number lbel. To dd dditionl HR80UK Rditor Controllers to zone refer to Section 8: Chnging the Configurtion. 3 b b c Note: Zone number lbel Turn the locking knob nd seprte the operting module from the coupling module. Turn the coupling module wheel nticlockwise (pprox. 3 rottions) until the nose b reches the end stop c. Fit the coupling module to the TRV body b nd tighten by hnd. For Adptors see below. 4 5 6 Instll btteries into the operting module. Note: Check correct polrity. Fit the operting module onto the coupling module nd turn the locking knob down to lock in plce. Section 7: System Testing! Cution! When selecting the operting site ensure tht the distnce to wireless devices such s wireless hedphones, cordless phones etc. is pprox. -m. It is recommended to complete the system testing before mounting the wll brcket on the wll. Position the CM67z Room Unit s close s possible to the loction where it will be used. Wll Wll Wll Ceiling = Signl Strength Mx. Signl Length 30 meters Typicl exmple of Building Fbric Signl losses CM67z Room Unit to HR80UK Rditor Controllers. Move the CM67z slider to position.. Set the zone setpoint to 5 C by pressing the button. Press the button nd set the zone setpoint to 30 C by pressing the button. 3. Check ll the HR80UK s in zone received 5 C setpoint nd the ones in zone 30 C setpoint (llow 4 minutes for the HR80UK to receive the setpoint). Repet the steps nd 3 selecting different temperture vlues. 4. To complete the system test move the CM67z slider to the position then bck to the position. Instll the wll brcket for the CM67z (if required). HR80UK Rditor Controllers to HC60NG. Move the CM67z slider to position.. Set both zone nd zone setpoints to 5 C by pressing the button (Using the button to switch between zones). 3. Set ll HR80UK dils to the position. Set the dil of the first HR80UK to the ON position. The green LED on the HC60NG should come on. 4. Set the dil bck to the position nd ensure tht the green LED on the HC60NG boiler controller goes off. 5. Repet the steps 3 nd 4 with ll the HR80UK s in the system. 6. To complete the system test reset ll of the HR80UK rditor controllers bck to norml opertion by removing nd re-inserting the btteries on ech one. Instll the wll brcket for the CM67z (if required). Test between CM67z & HR80UK. CM67z room unit cn send test signl to the HR80UK rditor controllers nd the HC60NG boiler or zone vlve controller.. Set the CM67z slider to the position. Press the, nd buttons together to enter the test mode. The CM67z will disply: 6 The first two digits in the HR80UK disply indicte the number of received test messges, nd the right-hnd digit indictes the field strength ( = sufficient field strength, 5 = very good field strength). The red LED of the HC60NG indictes the field strength by mens of flshing ( = sufficient field strength, 5 = very good field strength). To dectivte Service mode: Press the binding procedure button for 5 seconds or wit 5 minutes or remove nd then re-insert the btteries. The green LED on the HC60NG will flsh once every 7 seconds. 7. Service mode The wireless contct between the rditor controller, the centrl operting unit nd receiver unit is checked in Service mode. This mode is for instller use only. Test between HR80UK & HC60NG. Seprte operting unit from coupling module (see Section 6). Turn the djustment dil until on (open) ppers in the disply. 3. Turn djustment dil two full rottions (70 ) further until test is displyed. Service mode is ctive. The rditor controller trnsmits test messge to ny vilble HC60NG. The field strength is indicte by the number of flshes of the red LED ( = sufficient field strength, 5 = very good field strength). 4. Press the binding procedure button (pge 8 - digrm 5 ). The rditor controller is redy to receive the test messge from the centrl operting unit.

AM PM 8. Prmeters of the CM67z Room Unit Instllers Set Up Mode llows chnging the controllers prmeters to meet specific ppliction requirements or customers needs. See fig to 7 how to enter the Instller set-up. Move the CM67z slider into the position. Press nd hold the nd 3 & 4 buttons together. 3 Press or to 4 chnge fctory setting. The disply will flsh indicting tht chnge hs been mde. 5 6 Press + or - to go to the next prmeter nd follow steps 3 & 4 to 7 mke chnges....7 3 4 5 6 Section 8: Chnging the Configurtion Instller Set-Up Number (Press + or - to chnge) e.g. = AM/PM Ctegory Instller Set-Ups Press the button to confirm the chnge is ok. The disply will stop flshing indicting tht the new vlue hs been stored. Abbrevited Set-Up Description e.g. CL = Clock Disply Adjust other settings using the Instller Prmeter List below. To exit the Instllers Set-Up Mode move the CM67z slider to the position. To put the HC60NG in the listening mode press the button on the HC60NG for 5 seconds (Red LED flshes 0.5 sec on/off). Bind HR80UK Rditor Controllers to the Boiler Module :- Move slider to Position. Press nd hold Temp, nd Prog buttons together. Press the Holidy Button to select Boiler Tech-in Mode. Press to send Binding Signl. With successful tech-in the red LED will remin off (no longer flsh). 8.3 Built -in sensor configurtion The CM67z Room Unit fetures built-in temperture sensor used for specific pplictions. Sensor opertion is defined by prmeter 6:tS in Instller mode: 6:tS = 0 (Fctory defult. The built-in sensor is idle - not used for control nor mesurement). 6:tS = (The built-in sensor is used only for mesuring the room temperture) The symbol displyed next to the room temperture vlue indictes tht the sensor is used for mesurement only nd the temperture in the room is controlled by the HR80UK Rditor Controller. Due to different loctions of the CM67z Room Unit nd HR80UK Rditor Controller there my be difference between the setpoint displyed by the CM67z Room Unit nd the mesured temperture vlue. 6:tS = (The built-in sensor is used to mesure nd control the room temperture in zone or when zone vlve is used in zone ) The CM67z Room Unit must be locted in zone. To complete the configurtion you must set the 7:SU prmeter to decide which system components will use the temperture vlue from the CM67z Room Unit: 7:SU = 0 - HR80UK s only (fctory defult) 7:SU = - HC60NG (zone vlve controller) only, HR80UK s will use their own built-in sensor. 7:SU = - both HR80UK s nd HC60NG. 8.4 Adding HC60NG Zone vlve controller The HC60NG rely module cn lso be configured for controlling zone vlve. This is restricted to zone only.
