By controlling the heat, we improve quality. The JBC technology gives an 80% improvement over the performance of the best soldering stations available in the market. A conventional station takes between 10 to 90 seconds to reach 350º C. Any JBC station with a T210 hand piece reaches this temperature in only two seconds. This gives an idea of the response capability of the JBC system. This graph shows the same tools, performing a series of 3 solder joints. Because of the lacking thermal response of the competing tool (grey), the temperature drops 70 C compared to 30 C for the JBC tool. This difference gets bigger as the soldering application gets more demanding. 5

A new and revolutionary technology The exclusive JBC heating system achieves a high heating power in a very small size cartridge. The sensor-resistance set is shielded to make it resistant and almost indestructible. This means that the mass to be heated is minimal and therefore the thermal inertia is also minimal. In addition, the system has a high sensitivity temperature sensor element integrated deep within the resistance for optimum performance, instant thermal recovery, maximum power, and minimum temperature fluctuations. Ergonomics and usability: The JBC soldering irons are currently the lightest, smallest and most ergonomic handpieces available,. The shortest tipto-handle distance benefit to a higher working performance. Outstanding tip-life: Lasts up to five times longer Assoonas the soldering ironis leftonthestand, the tip temperature automatically drops to 220º C, when the soldering iron is taken out of the stand again, the tip temperature instantaneously recovers. It decreases oxidation and wear, resulting in a working life three to five times longer than that of a conventional tip. Low-temperature soldering for lead-free soldering JBC system allows soldering at 350º C instead of 450º C thanks to its fast temperature recovery system. Two soldering irons in one: adaptability to different types of jobs The cartridge extractor system in the stand and the instant thermal response enable switching cartridge models without interrupting work, resulting in multiple soldering irons in one. Pull slightly to remove the cartridge. Push gently and place a new one. Easy calibration Since the JBC technology is microprocessor driven, it is not necessary to recalibrate any of the JBC stations but, if required, the calibration of the soldering tips can easily be done by using the TI-A Thermometer and the temperature adjustment feature in the station s menu. 7

ENTRY & SINGLE LINE Concentrated rework power Two families of soldering stations, created to work, each one with a dedicated tool and with the advantage that the corresponding stand is already incorporated in the control unit. The intelligent sleep and hibernation functions are integrated and are combined with the fastest temperature recovery you can find in the market. Each model of stations has been designend for a specific tool. Process control Fix temperature limits, read the usage counters, block the keypad with a PIN or program sleep or hibernation mode. You can establish up to 5 temperature settings depending on your needs, each level has a higher fix temperature than the previous, higher temperature as you increase the level. It can be used with or without the activated settings. Intelligent heat management The only time a soldering iron must be at the desired temperature it is when working. JBC stations detect how tools are being used and the integrated support activates the sleep or hibernation features. Extend tip life by reducing temperature and reduce energy usage to 10 W during sleep and 4 W when hibernating. Help preserve the environment while saving! Quick Tip changer No tools or pads are needed to change a cartridge. Just place it in the tip extractor, pull and insert the other cartridge. DDST Soldering & desoldering station The DDST-2A station offers the complete solution for the fast and safe circuit repair with insertion components by solder intake. It s also necessary for cleaning the pads in SMD circuits. Features all the benefits from the JBC technology, such as fast temperature recovery, the sleep mode, small footprint, lightweight tools and manageability of the soldering and desoldering irons. JT High power hot air station The JT-2A is a high power hot air station used for desoldering all types of SMDs. Its powerful heater enables quick and safe desoldering of even the biggest QFPs and PLCCs. In addition, it desolders small and medium sized BGA s in a very reduced time span. Digital read-out temperature allows more precision and tool control. The system, exclusive to JBC, uses extractors/protectors and hot air, to desolder in a quick, safe and clean way while protecting the surrounding components by concentrating the heat onto the IC. A medium-sized QFP, for example, can be desoldered in 20 seconds. JT-2A High power hot air station 230V Basic Specifications Air pump for hot-air with electronic control of temperature and air flow. Process to desolder a qfp with a JT and TE stations The time needed to desolder a medium-sized IC is only 20 seconds. 1. Lock the extractor. 2. Hot-air melts the solder. 3. TE Precision hot air station The TE-2A is a precision hot air station ideal, for desoldering and soldering small and medium sized SMD s by hot-air. It takes about 30 seconds to desolder a medium sized component, quick enough to prevent the substrate and component from heating up to a dangerous temperature. In combination with the unique system of extractors, which process is explained on page 23 of this catalogue, it provides the safest hot air desoldering system in the market. The station has a digital temperature control feature as well as a regulated and accurate air flow, allowing desoldering safely, even on a heavily populated PCB s. HD Heavy duty station The HD-2A is the best solution for prolonged heavy duty soldering. It is specially designed to solder intensively on multi-layer boards and on parts requiring high amount of heat. The temperature on the tip is strictly controlled by a micro processor through the sensor-heating element integrated to the tip itself. The HD also offers high reliability especially in intensive applications like for example in solar panels. It includes a sleep system, the hibernation mode and all other basic advantages featured in the rest of our JBC stations. AL Automatic Solder feed station This is the perfect solution for intensive soldering processes where one or two hands free are needed. It automates the soldering by solder feed system using the advantages of the JBC soldering station. The system is supplied containing the control unit AL-2A that incorporates the electronic control, the motorized solder wire feed, the conduction tube and the solder feed handle. With the AL-2A is possible: - Length selection and thread speed advance. - Working cycle selection: continous and step by step. - Statistic working hours control and soldering cycles. MS-A and MV-A Desoldering suction modules They are essential to complete the desoldering function. Control unit regulates the temperature and the vacuum module suctions the solder.
