EBWAY 2424 alarm signalling

WebWay 2424 page 3 WebWay 2424 MANAGED SERVICES WebWay 2424 managed alarm signalling improves security and site management using the latest communications technology saving you time and money. Our systems and services monitor the alarm transmission networks every second of every day, reducing key holder and engineering visits by remotely identifying faults and their cause. WebWay solutions integrate seamlessly to security systems supporting detailed alarm transmission and remote servicing, providing a comprehensive event audit trail and improved system maintenance. Our Broadway and Airway communicators connect to additional systems such as fire, fridge, environmental control and building management systems, reducing the number of telephone lines required to manage sites. WebWay 2424 systems operate on any shared network (broadband or telephone line) and are provided inclusive of GSM/GPRS bandwidth and lifetime contract warranty. Catering for every eventuality, our services include access to O2, Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile networks delivering the best signal strength wherever you are. Detailed real time performance management information is no more than a click away. WebWay 2424 Command Centre software is used by our support team to assist in the remediation of faults and monitor the availability of every individual alarm transmission system. End users, installation companies and alarm receiving centres have access to the software, providing a secure, but open solution. The system has no single point of failure and has been independently tested to all grades of Intruder and Fire standards and is recommended by insurers.

WebWay 2424 System: The WebWay 2424 Alarm Transmission System (ATS) has no single point of failure. Dual path technology, multiple networks and multiple ARC receivers provide seamless operation, 24 hours a day. WebWay 2424 page 5 Unique performance monitoring enables WebWay 2424 to analyse the fixed line and mobile network s ability to deliver alarms. Any failure or reduction in availability is reported and recorded for action by the WebWay technical support team and our installation partners. The WebWay dual path solution has been independently tested for all grades of Intruder and Fire systems and is recommended by Insurers. Real time performance monitoring WebWay Command Centre provides a real time window on the performance of each individual site and associated communications path. Invaluable to our support team, senior field engineers, ARCs and end users, Command Centre allows all responsible parties to track faults, identify remedial actions and ensure systems are quickly returned to full operation. Diagnosing the problem fix, before sending resources to site improves efficiency, cost and carbon footprint. WebWay Command Centre helps to pin point sites that may experience fluctuating communications on either path. Underlying communications faults may not always be user affecting, but can be solved before they impact the risk of a premises. Real time alarm queues Each site can be interrogated to list SIA protocol alarms received in real time, over a pre-defined or user defined period. Alarm queues can be exported and used to analyse open/close reports, or viewed in real time with no need to refresh the system window. SIA protocol alarms include time, date, alarm type and user ID information. Remote alarm system management and maintenance Preventative maintenance can be reduced to one site visit a year under the latest UK and European inspectorate standards. WebWay 2424 improves the security of remote servicing by providing a secure and seamless link between the security company and the alarm panel. Remote servicing over our encrypted service does not interrupt polling or alarm delivery. System commissioning services All elements of the WebWay 2424 system are configured either prior to dispatch, automatically on power up, or locally via the alarm panel keypad or WebWay push button interface. Our service team assist with alarm panel configuration for a range of leading manufacturers, delivering a single point of contact during the commissioning process. Whatever the situation, WebWay systems are designed for a quick, single visit install. GSM signal improvement Our systems provide a real time indication of local GSM signal strength both locally and remotely. Installers can improve the local signal by purchasing an alternative antenna, complete with multi service provider (MSP) SIM card. Costs for the upgrade to MSP contract are included in our annual fees, providing access to all mobile networks in a single managed solution. Alarm delivery At WebWayOne we ensure that important security information generated by the alarm panel will reach the alarm receiving centre (ARC) securely. Conventional systems using PIN alarms provide a simple indication of an intruder alarm or a set/unset. Using a serial interconnection between the WebWay 2424 and the panel will deliver information about the types of alarm, the locations in the premises and the times the alarms were generated. Further information on the key holders who set and unset the premises with time stamps are also available in a rich text format. This information can be used as an audit trail during any post incident investigation with up to 500 events stored within the WebWay 2424 and all events logged at the WebWay monitoring centre. Using your Command Centre client means that the alarm audit trail is never more than a click away. Alarms are delivered and acknowledged securely within a few seconds (meeting the highest transmission time classification D4 required by Fire EN 54-21 Type 1 and Intruder EN50131-1 Grade 4). Multiple interconnected WebWay receivers ensure that all alarms are received and recorded at all times. Although the alarm delivery preferred protocol is SIA 3, all WebWay products can include Contact ID and Fast Format alarm transmission. Reverse SIA 4commands can be generated by the WebWay Command Centre or by Annunciation Equipment procedures. COMMAND CENTRE

WebWay 2424 page 7 :WEBWAY 2424 STANDARDS & SPECIFICATIONS WebWayOne is an ISO 9001 accredited company. Our products are designed and manufactured in the UK. All WebWay systems comply with the standards required for Alarm Transmission and the applications in which they will be used. WebWayOne is a member of the British Security Industry Association and participates at the BSI and CENELEC working groups for security and alarm transmission. The WebWay products have been independently tested for all grades of Intruder and Fire systems and are recommended by authorised specifiers and Insurers throughout Europe. WebWay 2424 Broadway IP GPRS For maximum savings and security, choose WebWay 2424 Broadway. WebWay 2424 Broadway reduces network monitoring costs, and removes the need for a telephone line. Each installation saves up to 350 per annum. Your existing Broadband (ADSL or other) connection is the primary signalling path with wireless GPRS as backup. WebWay 2424 Broadway is a dual path Grade 4 solution. All paths are continuously monitored with any single path failure detected and reported within 3 minutes. A simultaneous dual path failure is detected and reported in less than 6 minutes. WebWay 2424 Airway GPRS PSTN Upgrade and update security by choosing WebWay 2424 Airway. WebWay 2424 Airway reduces network monitoring costs, providing a simple upgrade to dual path signalling and future proofed to include IP. Each installation can save up to 200 per annum in telecommunications and ongoing signalling charges. WebWay 2424 Airway uses GPRS as the primary signalling path and is installed on your existing telephone line. WebWay 2424 Airway is dual path Grade 4 and all paths are continuously monitored with any single path failure detected and reported within 3 minutes. Standards WebWay 2424 meets or exceeds all of the following formal standards and codes of practice associated with Alarm signalling and network monitoring: EN50136-1-1 (System): Includes tests for Transmission time, network failure reporting times, security levels and measurements for retrospective ATS (Alarm Transmission System) availability. EN50136-2-1 (Equipment): Includes guidance on access, tampering, enclosures, power and environmental. EN50136-1-5 (IP): Provides clarity that LAN components are network equipment and not part of the supervised premises transceiver (SPT, WebWay Broadway and Airway brands). Replaces the current data security requirements with a more detailed description of encryption and substitution protection. Intruder and hold up (I&HAS): EN50131-1-1 Includes requirements for an ATS used for I&HAS systems. Principle requirements are the notification of ATS status to the alarm panel and the communication between AS and ATS, confirming the operation of the alarm panel. Also identifies physical requirements of the SPT. Provides ATS classifications for single path solutions up to ATS 6 selecting criteria from EN50136-1-1. Insurers require a combination of ATS4 and ATS 5 for the highest security requirements. ATS 5 is used for Fire. ATS 6 is unsuitable for most applications and can only be achieved with serial or parallel interfaces. Fire EN54-21 Fire: The fire standards change the term SPT to Alarm Transmission and Fault Warning Routing Equipment. The main requirements are similar to EN50131-1-1 but require a reporting time of 90 seconds on at least one of two network paths. IPCRes Insurance The Insurance industry has a small number of specific additional requirements beyond the existing standards. WebWay services comply with these requirements including upgrading the secondary path reporting time from 5 hours to 3 minutes in the event of primary path failure. This is all detailed in the IPCRes guidance when using the internet protocol which also adds the requirement for A4 availability monitoring, power failure reporting, secure location of equipment, and accountability for the ATS service. To achieve a standard best practise, Insurers and end users should apply these conditions to all signalling systems. INSTALLER SERVICES Command Centre software Integration to all panel manufacturers Free system and technology training Automatic or pre-configuration Inclusive GPRS airtime In contract alternative GSM provider Commissioning telephone support Remote diagnostics Remedial action advice Lifetime contract RTF warranty SIGNALLING SERVICES Signalling and polling over IP, GPRS and PSTN networks Grade 4 signalling using any technology High speed polling of GPRS when IP or PSTN is failed 24 hour monitoring Real time path and combined ATS monitoring Live diagnostics, signal, power, polling, panel and availability Telephone support, commissioning and remedial action Multiple GPRS providers Secure remote servicing for WebWay and I&HS 500 entry event log at premises Complete event log history in Command Centre
