High pressure water mist has been proven suitable for fire classifications A, B, C and F in numerous fire-safety tests and customerspecific demonstrations. This means that complex production sites and industrial plants can be protected with one single system technology. The three-dimensional dispersion of extremely fine water mist provides highly effective and rapid fire suppression, while the in- Nozzle heads tensive cooling effect simultaneously prevents the spread of the fire to other areas. Following a fire fighting response, automatic ALARM refilling from the domestic water supply ensures the system is DVS quickly ready for use again. Our high quality components are made from stainless steel to ensure a long service life for the fire fighting system, even in difficult industrial environmental conditions. BUILDING-REFERENCES Atrium protection Customized power pack ENERCON OFFICE BUILDING IN MAGDEBURG (DE) Objective: A communicative, well-lit and open interior with no structural fire partitions. High pressure water mist technology enabled this internationally leading manufacturer of wind power plants to achieve its objective in this architecturally challenging office building. By involving AQUASYS early on in the planning stage, the relevant efficacy proof regarding compensation for structural fire safety measures could be provided. Another special feature of this system is the water supply tank in the form of an aquarium in the middle of the building. The water is supplied to the HP pump unit via a transfer pump and appropriate filtration. Office building 008009 MUSEUM OF ESTONIAN ARCHITECTURE HISTORICAL BUILDING IN TALLINN (EE) Providing reliable protection for an 11 m high atrium with a wood roof structure in this historic, listed building was a key criterion for installing an AQUASYS high pressure water mist system to replace the pre-existing conventional extinguishing technology. Other decisive benefits were the compact design of the high-pressure supply units with less than 4 m² space requirement and the very long service life of the high-grade stainless steel components. As a result of small pipe dimensions and straightforward installation, the entire renovation (including installation of approx. 400 nozzle heads and 2000 metres of pipework) and commissioning could be carried out in less than 4 weeks. Compact supply unit Protection of exhibits Historical museum

BUILDING-REFERENCES Protection of emergency exits Diverter valve unit SHOPPING MALL ATRIUM PROTECTION IN TAIPEI (TW) Shopping centre In this 16-floor shopping centre, the escape and emergency routes are arranged directly around the open atrium. In the event of a fire, these emergency routes need to be protected on each level, while also preventing the flames from spreading to adjoining levels. At the same time, the system needs to suppress the development and spread of smoke. Successful and convincing real fire tests paved the way for the conceptual design of the AQUASYS high pressure extinguishing system, which features open nozzles and section valves on each floor. In the event of an activation, this enables the system to provide targeted fire fighting on the affected level. To prevent the fire spreading, the floors located above and below the fire are also sprayed with water mist as a preventative measure. 010011 DERAG LIVINGHOTELS LUXURY HOTEL IN DÜSSELDORF (DE) In this hotel, a generous reception area with open fire, wood panelling and coffered ceilings required inconspicuous fire protection. The interior architect in charge also stipulated minimal pipe dimensions for fully concealed installation under plaster in the extensive porticoes. The decision to implement an AQUASYS system with low water consumption also provides highly efficient protection for the frescos and other valuable features of the listed building. The HP pump unit with a base area of 2.0 m x 1.8 m was placed in an existing cellar space without requiring additional structural measures. Heritage building Implementation of nozzle heads Installation in false ceilings

INDUSTRY-REFERENCES Adaptable technique station Efficiency based on real fire tests VERBUND AG ALPINE HYDRO-RESERVOIR POWER PLANT (AT) Transformer 430 MW inside cavern The construction of a high-performance power station underground was associated with stringent requirements regarding fire safety. The plant location in a high Alpine area meant the hydrodynamic power had to harnessed without any visible impact on the natural environment. The installation of an AQUASYS high pressure water mist system took into account the challenges imposed by the very limited space available in the cavern excavated specifically for the transformers. At the same time, it provides effective protection for the huge quantities of oil in the transformers (up to 60,000 litres). The high efficiency of the water mist, especially for liquid fires in combination with early fire detection, means that incipient fires can be rapidly contained. 012013 DATA CENTER PROTECTION FOR SERVER ROOMS (FR) An uninterrupted continuous operation of the servers is a basic condition for safeguarding stored data. Previous extinguishing systems, such as gas, required shutting down the ventilation in the entire server room. This would also lead to a server shutdown. The efficacy of targeted fire fighting with an AQUASYS high pressure water mist system could be demonstrated in several real fire tests within and outside of the server racks. Targeted and efficient fire fighting is also possible during operation of the servers and ventilation, therefore a complete shutdown of the server area is no longer required. At the same time, using non-hazardous and and environmentally friendly water mist makes it possible for people to enter the server rooms at any time, even in the event of a fire. False floor protection easy to install Modular HP pump units Selective and efficient fire fighting

Hydraulic presses Roll stands Strip processing lines INDUSTRIAL SAFETY Food production plants (sugar, baked goods, etc.) Cable ducts Paper mills Switching stations /technical facilities / hydraulics rooms Turbines, generators Paper machines INDUSTRIAL PLANTS Waste recycling Cable ducts Storage and production area SAFE & PRODUCTIVE Ensuring maximum plant availability for high quality industrial plants with a production related increased fire risk requires the installation of a reliable and robust fire fighting system. The use of water, which is non-hazardous to humans and technology, means the contamination of manufacturing processes and subsequent damage can be prevented or minimised. The three-dimensional propagation effect of the high pressure water mist system means that direct and hidden areas can be reached and effectively protected with the water mist. The differentiation of production related temperature fluctuations, smoke or vapour emissions from actual fire incidents places high requirements on the detection system. In addition to our existing experience from challenging projects, we can also rely on the use of simulation tools for creating project specific feasibility analyses. 014015 TEST BENCHES ACCURATE & HIGHLY EFFICIENT Testing components and systems to their technological limit means a considerably increased risk of fire, particularly in relation to mechanical moving parts. This can lead to the breakdown or loss of test benches and valuable measurement equipment that are relevant to production. By installing an AQUASYS high pressure water mist system, with the benefits of low water consumption as a result of the finely atomised droplets as well as very rapid, direct fire fighting, a possible fire can effectively be prevented from spreading to other areas. The high pressure water mist represents no risk to testing personnel and consequently protects both personnel and technology. This also enables the facilities to be restarted swiftly after a fire fighting response. Performance test bench Immediate activation after detection Pressure chamber for pilot training

Fire fighting is a responsibility the safety of personnel and the safeguarding of plant productivity in industry are in our focus of daily business as well as the protection of historically valuable buildings and the design of innovative solutions for modern office buildings. Utilising our capabilities from R&D, sales, project management and production at our Linz site makes it possible to analyse any given specific application and your individual requirements. Close cooperation with notified bodies and the ability and willingness to perform short term and comprehensive fire tests ensure well founded and approved system solutions.
