All the zones without bypass are in armed status. Arm Stay: The armed status at night. All the zones are in armed status except active zones. Disarm: Close the entry/exit zones, active zones, perimeter zones. Other zones are still in arm status. 24 hour zone: No matter armed or disarmed, it is in valid detecting status. It is usually used in fire alarm, duress alarm and other emergent alarm which can be cancelled only by password holder. CMS: It is an alarm receiving station, to which the alarm controller sends out alarm information via telephone line when alarm occurs. The station will take corresponding actions after receiving the alarm. Entry Delay: A period for user to enter detection area, activate the delay zone and disarm before the system alarms. During the period, user can activate several specified zones (entry zone) without alarm immediately. While exceeding the time, the system alarms if not disarmed. Zones with entry delay are the exit/entry zone and active zone. Exit Delay: A period for user to leave detecting area once the system armed. Zones with exit delay will not alarm during this period. The zones with exit delay are the exit/entry zone and the active zone. Supplementary Entry Delay: The Supplementary Entry Delay is a pre-alarm feature that is employed in the event that the system is not disarmed during the entry delay. Panel ID: ID address can be set for each control panel so that the CMS can identify. Different ID must be set for different control panels, which is 4-8 digits utmost with default as 1234. Duress Code: When user is forced to disarm the control panel by burglar, user inputs duress password, the control panel is disarmed but sends alarm information to the center stations or receiver. The duress password can be used to disarm but set parameters. Chime Zone: During disarm, while the zone is triggered, the panel will sound Welcome to intelligent alarm system! 58

Delete 4.1 Pre-installation Planning Chapter 4: System Installation Before starting the installation procedure, it is worthwhile to draw a rough sketch of the building and determine the required position for the control panel and each wireless device. When deciding on the placement for installation, consider the following: 1. Mount the control panel in a location with easy access to telephone and power connections. 2. The control panel should be mounted in a position where the GSM signal is strong. 3. Chapter 12: War ranty and Limitations Although it is an advanced and reliable security system, it does not offer absolute guaranteed protection against burglary, fire, or other troubles. The limitations are as follows: 1. Intruders may get access to unprotected openings or have technical sophistication to invalidate the system. 2. The system will disable without power. 3. Alarm warning devices such as bells may not alert people if they are installed in an improper position. If the alarm bell is installed outside, there are less likely to waken or alert people inside the bedrooms. 4. Telephone line used to transmit alarm signals may be out of service for any reason, or can not perform communication normally for vicious attack. 5. Unsuitable installation position of detectors. If smoke detector is installed in an improper position, it is not easy for smoke to enter the detecting area. Because of doors or walls, it is hard for the detector to detect fires in other rooms, e.g. the detector in the first floor can not sense fires in the second floor. 6. Lack of maintenance may lead to the system disable. Weekly testing is necessary to ensure the system work normally. 4.3.2 Power off and Inser t SIM Card SIM card must be inserted for GSM or SMS alarm via GSM module. The AC power and battery must be cutoff for safe operation. Steps: 1. Plug the AC power adaptor and battery flat-cable. 2. Push off the SIM buckle lightly, see Figure 7. 3. Insert the SIM card. 4. After all test, press * to exit. Test GSM Signal: The communication signal strength should be tested to confirm if GSM module is connected. To test the GSM signal: 1. You will hear the voice around 5s after pick- up and will repeat after another 5s, which will last 5 times and then hangs up automatically. After hang up, if no voice guide, or user can not wait, you can press 5, then the panel will issue alarm indication. Before it hangs up, you can program by phone. See following: Disarm: press 3. Arm-away: press 3 to disarm and then 1 to arm away. Arm-stay: press 3 to disarm and then 2 to arm stay. Repeat alarm: press 5 to repeat the alarm. Note: Alarm is not available to repeat after disarm. Turn off siren: press 7. Turn on siren: press 6,on-site siren will turn off after 10s. Hang up: press 0 to hang up directly and the system will not dial any phone number. Pressing any key on control panel or phone during voice play may cause communication error. It is Note suggest to operate after voice. Clear Users Clear User Codes deletes all programmed user codes and restores the default master and installer codes and duress codes. To clear users: 1. You can program an AC Loss Delay to be between 1 and 255 minutes after the system first senses the AC loss condition. Alternatively you can program a random AC Loss Delay. The AC Restore message is also sent using the same method described above. AC Restore is reported only if the AC Loss report was sent. AC loss delay is mainly used when the power is cut off with many AC loss report sending, which may cease the system. To set AC loss delay: 1. Supplementary Entry Delay The Supplementary Entry Delay is a pre-alarm feature that is employed in the event that the system is not disarmed during the entry delay. And the period is set as 5s. Dial Back RP dial back is a security feature that helps ensure that remote programming is only performed by authorized personnel. When the Remote Programmer contacts the panel, the panel hangs up and calls the Callback telephone number. To set RP call back: 1. Select the access options. 8.3.8.3 System Option System trouble includes: AC loss, low battery, telephone line loss, time unset, GSM unconnected, low GSM signal, no SIM card, communication failure, wireless and wired zone trouble. Wireless zone trouble includes low battery and supervision failure. Trouble for wired zones means it is triggered but with no alarm. Communication failure includes failure with CMS, SMS send and GSM dialing, The reason may be low balance for SIM card. If the function of Zone Trb. Indication is turned on, when any trouble of above occurs, it will tell which zone is troubled in system. For detailed query, press # as following: Entry Delay Entry delay means a period for user to enter detection area, activate the delay zone and disarm before the system alarms. To set entry delay: 1. There are 22 zones: zone 1-16 is for wireless. Zone 17 is for panic. Zone 18 is for duress. Zone 19 is for fire. Zone 21-22 is wired. Zone 20 is for tamper. Different zone type alarms in different ways. Tamper alarm is valid with 24 hours for wireless zone 1-16. with tamper alarm indication. To set call attempts: 1. From the main menu, select Programming # Comm. # Comm. Option # Call Attempts #. 2. Press # to edit it with icon flash as indication. 3. Set the attempts(1-30times). 4. Press * to exit. Ring Attempts The ring attempts means the ring times before the phone hangs up. If it is set as 0, it means no remote control by call for the system. To set ring attempts: 1. From the main menu, select Programming # Comm. # Comm. Option # Ring Attempts #. 2. Press # to edit with icon indication. 3. Set the call attempts(1-9 times, 0 means no remote control by call). 4. Press * to exit. GSM Option It includes SMS Center, SMS Ack and SMS Confirm. If SMS Ack is turned off, then it is not available for control panel. If SMS confirm is turned off, then SMS receipt is not available. SMS Ack: 1. From the main menu, select Programming # Comm. # Comm. Option # GSM Option # SMS Ack #. 2. Wireless Zone Supervision Wireless devices will transmit supervision signal to the control panel at intervals. If the system does not receive any signal, then the transmitter is regarded as loss. The max loss period is called supervision time. If no signal is transmitted during this period, wireless zone trouble appears in the list of system trouble. To set wireless zone supervision: 1. From the main menu, select Programming # Device # WL. Superv. # SV ON/OFF #. 2. Press the navigation key to select ON or OFF ending with #. And then set the supervision time. 3. To set CMS phone: 1. From the main menu, select Programming # Comm. # Comm. Account #. 2. Press the navigation key to select CMS 1 or CMS 2 ending with #. 3. Then press the navigation key to select Phone NO. to enter with #. 4. If any phone number is set already, it will display on the LCD. Press # to input with the icon flash. If no phone number is set before, input directly. 5. The phone number is 16 digits utmost ending with #. Press * to delete former digit or edit it. Press # to confirm. If press # directly, the former phone number will be deleted. CMS Event Option The options are: send for alarm, send for arm & disarm, send for system trouble, send for service info. If the function of Send for Alarm is closed, the alarm info will not be sent to CMS. If the function of Send for Arm/Disarm is closed, the arm or disarm operation will not be sent to CMS and cancel alarm is invalid. If the function of Send for Trb. is closed, the trouble info will not be sent. If the function of Send for service is closed, the trouble info will not be sent during enter ir quit programming or zone bypass. It will send all event as default. -37-7.1.2 Ar m Stay Arm Away! It enables the system not to alarm in active zone but alarm in other zones. 1. Activate/Mute Siren It enables the siren(built-in siren, external wired siren or wireless siren) to be on or off. To activate or mute siren: 1. From the main menu, select Programming # Device # Siren # Activate/Mute #. 2. Press the navigation key to select the siren type: Built-in Siren, Wired Siren, or Wireless Siren ending with #. 3. Siren Cut-off Siren cut-off is the period of time the sirens are activated after an alarm has occurred, which can be set from 0 to 30 minutes. -36-

While Clear all means to clear all enrolled wireless transmitters. 7.2 Ar m/disar m via Phone It enables you to arm or disarm via telephone(dtmf). For details, pls refer to 9.1 Telecontrol via Phone. 7.3 Ar m/disar m via SMS With GSM module connected, it enables you to arm or disarm, or query system status via SMS. The system will respond with a message once receiving a query. For details, pls refer to 9.3. Telecontrol via SMS. 7.4 Trigger Alar m via Keypad It enables you to trigger alarm via keypad or keyfob under emergency. Trigger panic alarm: Press PROG on keypad or Panic on keyfob for 2s (See Figure 14). STAY DISARM PROG Zone Type For specific zone type definition, please refer to 6.1. To set zone type: 1. From the main menu, select Programming # Device # Zone # Set Zone Type #. 2. Press the navigation key to select the zone you desire to set ending with #, and then select the zone type for it ending with # to save it. 3. Press * to exit.
