ENGLISH PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following: This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years old. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. To avoid fire or shock hazard, plug the appliance directly into an electrical outlet and fully insert the plug. Keep the cord out of heavy traffic areas. To avoid fire hazard, NEVER put the cord under rugs, or near radiators, stoves, or heaters. DO NOT place your humidifier near heat sources such as stoves, radiators, and heaters. Do locate your humidifier on an inside wall near an electrical outlet. Your humidifier should be at least 10cm/4 away from the wall for best results. Never use a humidifier in a closed room. (i.e: doors and windows closed) as it may result in excessive humidity. Do not attempt to refill your humidifier without first unplugging the unit from its electrical outlet. Be sure to pull by the plug and not the cord. NEVER drop or insert any object into any openings. DO NOT place hands, face, or body directly over or near the mist outlet while the unit is in operation. DO NOT cover the mist outlet or place anything over it while the unit is operating. Use the appliance only for its intended household use as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by Jarden Consumer Solutions (Europe) Ltd. may cause hazards. DO NOT use outdoors. Always place your humidifier on a firm, flat, level surface. A waterproof mat or pad is recommended for under your humidifier. NEVER place it on a surface that may become damaged by exposure to water and moisture (i.e. a finished floor). DO NOT allow the mist outlet to directly face the wall. Moisture could cause damage, particularly to wallpaper. Your humidifier should be unplugged when not in use. NEVER tilt, move, or attempt to empty the unit while it is operating. Switch off and unplug it before removing the water tank or moving the unit. Your humidifier requires regular maintenance to operate appropriately. Refer to cleaning and maintenance procedures. NEVER use detergents, petrol, glass cleaner, furniture polish, paint thinner, or other household solvents to clean any part of your humidifier. Excessive humidity in a room can cause water condensation on windows and some furniture. If this happens, turn your humidifier OFF. WE reccomend that you do not use your humidifier in an area where the humidity level exceeds 55%. Never immerse any part of the appliance or power cord and plug in water or any other liquid. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. The unit contains no user serviceable parts. All servicing should be performed by qualified personnel only. CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility. 3

Be sure your humidifier is switched off and disconnected from the wall outlet. 2. Install the Mist chamber (D) into the Base (G). 3. IMPORTANT: To eliminate the emission of minerals from the water, it is recommended that the Water Filter is always used. 4. Place the water tank (C) into the body. IMPORTANT: Make sure the water tank as well as the inside of the base are clean before using the appliance and after storing for a long time. 5. Ensure the humidifier is level. If the humidifier is not level always turn the power off before handling it. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Filling the Water Tank NOTE: Always switch off and unplug your humidifier before filling the water tank. The water you put into the water tank should be clean and not be over 40 C (cold boiled water or demineralised water are recommended). 1. Remove the lid and lift the water tank out of the base. 2. Unscrew the filter/water tank cap (E and F). 3. Fill the tank with clean water to the MAX mark then screw the filter/water tank cap back tightly onto the tank. 4. Put the water tank back into the base. 5. Fit the Lid (B) and Mist outlet (A). SWITCHING THE UNIT ON AND OFF 1. Plug the unit into the mains supply socket. 2. Press the On/Off button (V). The LCD display (H) will light up white and the on/off button and Auto button will light up blue. 3. By default, your humidifier will start in Auto mode. Note that it will take up to 5 minutes before auto mode will function normally and your humidifier may produce mist during this time even though the room humidity is higher than 55%. When the room humidity falls below 53% your humidifier will operate normally. NOTES: Your humidifier has a memory and will remember the previous settings after it has been turned off. If the unit has been unplugged however, any previous settings will be lost and the unit will default to Auto mode when switched on again. HUMIDIFIER SETTINGS Your humidifier has a built-in room humidity indicator (K) ideal for precise and continuous humidity level monitoring. If your humidifier is in Auto mode, press the Auto button to switch it into manual mode. Once in manual mode, the Set Humidity button (S) will light up. Press the Set Humidity button until the desired humidity level is shown by the Set humidity indicator (L). The humidity can be selected from 40% to 70% in 5% steps or Continuous. To turn your humidifier to continuous mode, select Cn. Your humidifier will operate until the set humidity level is reached. Your humidifier will resume operation when the humidity level in the room falls below the set level. NOTE: When the preset humidity is reached and your humidifier stops producing mist, the fan will still keep running to help read the room humidity precisely. MIST SETTINGS Your humidifier has three mist levels selected by pressing the Mist level button (R). The levels are shown by the bars in the Mist level display (O). 4

AUTO MODE The Auto mode sets your humidifier to operate at a preset level of 55%. Press the Auto button (Q) to select the auto mode. Press the Auto button again to exit auto mode. WARM MIST The Warm mist button (P) changes the mist temperature from cool to warm. NOTE: It can take approximately 30 minutes for the mist to change temperature. The Warm Mist button will not function if the unit is not producing mist. TIMER The timer allows your humidifer to operate for four pre-set times: 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours. Each press of the Timer button (U) will select 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours. When the timer is in operation, the LCD display will show the clock icon and the time period selected (N). NIGHT LIGHT The night light (I) can be switched on or off using the Night light button (T). AUTO SAFETY SHUT OFF Your humidifier has a built in safety device When the water level in the water tank is low, the unit will beep several times and the Water tank low icon (M) will show. Refill the tank as described in the section Filling the Water Tank. Do not overfill. The unit will enter standby mode after 1 minute if the water tank is not refilled. WATER FILTER MAINTENANCE The water filter is used to remove any minerals from the mist. The filter life is determined by the average daily use of your humidifier and the water hardness in your area. The harder the water, the greater the amount of minerals in the water and the more often you will need to replace the filter. It is strongly recommended that the filter is replaced every 2 months, (depending on use), or when white dust is emitted from your humidifier. 1. Switch off your humidifier and disconnect it from the mains supply socket. Remove the lid (B) and lift out the water tank (C). 2. Turn the water tank upside down and unscrew the filter/tank cap (Fig. 2). Unscrew the filter (E, Fig. 3) from the tank cap (F, Fig. 3) and dispose of the old filter in accordance with your local regulations. 3. Remove any packaging from the new filter and screw it into the tank cap (F). 4. Fill the water tank with clean water. Refit the filter/tank cap and replace the water tank into the base. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Humidifiers provide comfort by adding moisture to dry, heated indoor air. To get the most benefit from the humidifier and to avoid product misuse, follow all instructions carefully, specifically the operation, care and maintenance guidelines. Please note this is an electrical appliance and requires attention when in use. Cleaning your humidifier every one or two weeks, depending on the water conditions is important in order to maintain efficient, healthy, odour-free operation. Water quality varies widely and, combined with build-up of mineral scale in your humidifier, may under certain conditions promote the growth of microorganisms in the water tank. Before cleaning, please note the following: Never immerse any part of the appliance or power cord and plug in water or any other liquid. DO NOT use soap, detergents, abrasives, gasoline, glass or furniture polish, or boiling water to clean any part of your humidifier. These will interfere with the proper operation of your unit and may affect its appearance. DO NOT use sharp or metal objects to clean mineral deposits in the reservoir. Contact with sharp objects can result in damage to the plastic. Mineral deposits should be soaked for up to 20 minutes in plain vinegar and water to help with their removal. DO NOT clean any part of your humidifier in the dishwasher. Daily maintenance 1. Before cleaning, switch off the unit and unplug it from the electrical outlet. 2. Remove the lid and lift the water tank out of you humidifier. 3. Drain and rinse the base and tank thoroughly to remove any sediment or dirt. Wipe clean and dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. 4. Refill the tank as described in the section Filling the Water Tank. Do not over fill. 5

5. If moisture forms on walls or windows in your home, turn your humidifier OFF. STORAGE If you do not plan to use your humidifier for an extended period of time, it is important that you follow these instructions to help prevent water stagnating inside the unit. 1. Turn your humidifier off and disconnect it from the outlet. Remove the water tank, then empty the tank and the base completely. Clean your humidifier as instructed in the Cleaning and Maintenance section. 2. Dry your humidifier thoroughly. DO NOT leave any water inside your humidifier when storing it. 3.
