A D C F G H E B FEATURES & FUNCTIONS A. Vacuum & Seal: This button has 2 functions: 1. Press to start the vacuum sealing process (automatically seals the bag when process is complete). 2. Press to pause vacuum process at any time. B. Pulse: This button regulates the pressure of the seal to prevent crushing more delicate items such as bread and pastries. 1. Press to start the vacuum sealing process 2. Press to stop the vacuum sealing process Press Manual Seal (E) button when desired pressure is met. C. Food: This button has 2 functions: 1. Dry, for items without moisture, provides a shorter heat sealing time 2. Moist, for wetter types of foods, provides a longer heat sealing time. FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS D. Pressure: This button has 2 functions: 1. Normal, for items needing a higher vacuum pressure 2. Gentle, for items that are softer or more delicate (less vacuum pressure is applied to prevent crushing.) Default setting is normal. E. Manual Seal: This button has 2 functions: 1. To seal the open end of a bag without vacuuming air suction, used to make a bag from a roll of bags. 2. When using automatic Vacuum & Seal function, this button stops the vacuuming air suction and immediately starts to seal the bag. I F. Canister: This button starts the vacuuming air suction for canisters, jar lids, wine stoppers or other accessories that are attached through Hose Port (H). G. Stop: This button stops the machine. H. Hose Port: Receives the hose for canister and wine stopper functions. I. Cord Storage: Found on the bottom of machine. Wrap the power cord into the storage box when not use, do not wrap the cord around the appliance. 8 9

FIG. 1 3 Put one end of the bag on top of the sealing element, but not in the vacuum chamber. 4 Close the cover and press tightly till you hear it click in place on both sides. FIG. 1 VACUUM PACKAGING WITH A BAG OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FIG. 2 1 Put the items inside the bag. Use only quality vacuum bags. Straighten out the open end of the bag and clean off any dust. 2 Position the open end of the bag within the vacuum chamber area. Make sure the air intake is not covered by the bag. FIG. 1 3 Push the cover down and click to lock the cover. FIG. 2 4 Choose between moist and dry Food setting. Pressing Moist will help prevent liquid from rising into the seal area. FIG. 3 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 5 Press Vacuum & Seal button, the unit will start the automatic vacuum sealing process and stop when the bag is sealed. FIG. 3 NOTE: This product provides very high vacuum pressure during vacuum sealing, in order to avoid crushing of the delicate items, monitor the status of the pressure inside the bag and press the Manual Seal button immediately when the desired pressure is achieved. 6 When the vacuum sealing process is done, press the buttons on both sides of the cover to open and take out the sealed bags. FIG. 4 FIG. 4 NOTE: For best results, it is better to let the appliance cool down for 1 minute before using it again. Wipe out any excess liquid or food residue in the vacuum chamber after each bag sealed. Your appliance will seal properly only if using the high quality bags. Do not attempt to use other bags that are not specifically intended for vacuum sealing. To open a sealed bag, cut the bag straight across the top with scissors. 14 15

PULSE VACUUMING FUNCTION 4 Press the Start button to start vacuuming. VACUUMING PACKAGING USING ACCESSORY CONTAINERS To test seal, simply tug on the cover. It should not slip or move. 1 Wipe the accessory container ensure they are clean and dry. Buy only accessory containers compatible with this Gourmia Vacuum Sealer. 2 Fill the accessory containers,but do not fill up to the very top. The container needs to have a tight seal. Wipe clean the inside of the container lid and outer rim of the container. FIG. 1 For best results, allow the appliance to cool down for 3 minutes before repeating the procedure. 3 Insert one end of the hose into the air intake and another end of the hose into the center hole of the container lid. CLEANING THE VACUUM SEALER Always unplug the unit before cleaning. Do not immerse in water or any other liquid. Avoid using abrasive products or material to clean the unit, IT will scratch the surface. Use a mild dish washing soap and a warm, damp cloth to wipe away food residue on appliance or around components. Dry thoroughly before using again. Note: The foam gaskets around the vacuum chambers should be dried thoroughly before re-assembling. When re-assembling, is important to assemble components back to original position to ensure proper operation. Cleaning The Vacuum Bags: Wash bags in warm water with a mild dish washing soap CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE When washing bags in dishwasher, turn bags inside out and spread them over top rack of dishwasher, so entire surface is exposed to the water. Dry thoroughly before reusing. IMPORTANT: To avoid possible illness, do not reuse bags after storing raw meats, raw fish or greasy foods. Do not reuse bags that have been microwaved or boiled. Cleaning The Accessories Wash all container accessories in warm water with a mild dish washing soap. DO NOT immerse cover in water. Container accessory bases (not lids) are top rack dishwasher safe. Lid covers should be wiped down with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly before reusing. Container accessories are NOT to be used in a microwave or freezer. Storing Your Vacuum Sealer: Keep the unit in a flat and safe place, out of the reach of children. Keep the lid of appliance unlocked when not in use to avoid distorting the foam gaskets. Damage or distortion cause leakage. 19
