Cleaning Care Instructions PU-COATED FABRICS WASHING Washing (95 C) must be done with neutral detergents; softening agents are not allowed. Undyed fabrics may be washed following the ISO 6330 norm, part 9A and dyed fabrics following the ISO 6330 norm, part 3A. DISINFECTION In general our PU-coated products resist very well to alcohol-based disinfectants. Phenol or phenol derivates can also be used in diluted concentrations (follow the recommendations of the disinfectant manufacturer). Nevertheless, we always advise to test the concerning product before using it. High concentrations of active chlorine might have a negative effect on our PU-coated fabrics. Hence, its use is not recommended. If one does decide to use it, please use strongly diluted concentrations and rinse the cover extensively with water. The same is valid for peroxide-based disinfectants, and, in general, all disinfectants based on an oxidising reaction mechanism. A study of several surface disinfectants is available upon your request. Sterilisation might have a negative effect on polyurethane coatings and is therefore not recommended. If one does decide to do so, a reduced lifetime of the product should be taken into account. This is inevitable for all thermoplastic polyurethanes, due to their chemical nature. DRYING Adequate drying is a crucial factor in the care and maintenance of coated articles. Drying may be effected by hanging out, spinning or tumbling at temperatures up to 60 C. Do not press or mangle. STORAGE Store in a dry area, at room temperature. Avoid excessive pressure and contact with non-colourfast materials. Try not to expose the PU-coating to excessive sunlight (UV-radiation). PVC-COATED FABRICS WASHING Washing (40 C or 95 C) must be done with neutral detergents; softening agents are not allowed. Undyed fabrics may be washed following the ISO 6330 norm, part 9A and dyed fabrics following the ISO 6330 norm, part 3A. DISINFECTION In general, the PVC-coated products resist well to most of the currently used surface disinfectants. Nevertheless, we advise to test the particular surface disinfectant in advance or to contact us in case of doubts. It is not recommended to autoclave or sterilise PVC-coated products. Try not to expose the PVC-coating to excessive sunlight (UV-radiation). BRAVO EXCEL & SIOEN CARE FABRICS WASHING Washing (95 C) must be done with neutral detergents; softening agents are not allowed. Undyed fabrics may be washed following the ISO 6330 norm, part 9A and dyed fabrics following the ISO 6330 norm, part 3A. Bravo Excel coatings can easily be washed > 100 times at 95 C (excluding possible physical damage of the coating due to contact with sharp metal parts in the washing machine). DISINFECTION In general, Bravo Excel coatings resist extremely well to all kinds of disinfectants. Nevertheless, we advise to test the particular surface disinfectant in advance or to contact us in case of doubts. Generally, surface wiping can be done numerous times without problems with the following commonly used products: Alcohol based disinfectants Phenol based disinfectants Disinfectants based on quaternary ammonium Active chlorine based disinfectants (> 100 times 5000 ppm) Please always keep in mind to rinse the cover extensively with pure water after using chlorine. Chloramine based disinfectants Peroxyde based disinfectants STERILISATION/ Bravo Excel coatings have the best possible resistance against AUTOCLAVATION autoclave sterilisation. They have been tested and approved after 50 cycles autoclave at 134 C. DRYING Adequate drying is a crucial factor in the care and maintenance of coated articles. Drying may be effected by hanging out, spinning or tumbling at temperatures up to 130 C (inlet temperature hot air). Bravo Excel coatings have been tested and approved after 50 cycles tumbler drying at 130 C. Do not press or mangle. STORAGE Store in a dry area, at room temperature. Avoid excessive pressure and contact with non-colourfast materials. Try not to expose the PU excel coating to excessive sunlight (UV-radiation).
