The figurative repeat references the butterfly collections of the Victorian era, while the interplay of the even blue background and the occasional soft focus of the bugs and butterflies blurs the boundary between historical fine drawings and contemporary photography.

For me, inspiration is quite literally around every corner; I don t have to travel far to find something interesting. With my camera, I capture images from both the natural and manmade world around me. I love colours, patterns and abstract forms; and sunlight is the magic ingredient that brings it all to life. By assembling my raw photographic material into imagery or patterns I then create my artwork. Since most of it is applied to functional everyday products, I consider myself both, a digital artist and a designer.
