Plot Markers Do not remove from plot. If lost or damaged plot owners will be assessed $5.00. Plot markers will be refreshed on our work day.

Our New Fence After years of raising funds and negotiating with the Township, a permanent garden fence was installed. Locks are on the gates. Be sure to close the gates and engage the locks as you leave the garden. Nothing is allowed to hang or be attached to the fence. We must maintain the wood chips around the fence.

We have grass paths. Do not put wood chips or anything in the paths that would not allow the grass to grow!

Paths need mowing and weed whacking.

All plots must have wood plot borders. Work day April 7th. Cost $35

We garden in an environmentally friendly manner. Please respect our mission! Organic and pesticide free Use only community garden board approved fertilizers, pesticides or weed repellents. www.ebcommunitygarden.webs.com

Plot assignments will be available the week after the April 8th plot building weekend.

All gardeners must either volunteer four (4) hours per plot during the season toward community gardening efforts or participate in the $40 per plot buyout option.

General Garden Workday Saturday April 7 from 9 am to finished. AM: Rake and dispose of leaves outside of fence Refresh plot markers Prepare plots for border installation General garden clean up Border materials to be delivered in AM. Assemble and install borders.

Maintenance Monday s! It is the responsibility of the gardener to make sure that volunteer time is recorded to a garden board member.

Committees We need people who are handy, who have tools and are willing to help with garden maintenance projects such as fixing hoses, drilling drain holes in planters, fixing tools etc. Please let us know if Peggy can call you if we need a project to be done.

Deadlines All plots must be turned by April 29th. All plots must be planted by May 28th. If you need to abandon your plot for any reason, notify the garden board so the plot can be reassigned. If your plot becomes unkempt, you will be given two (2) week's notice to clean it up. At that time, it will be re-assigned or tilled in.

Preparing Your Plot www.ebcommunitygarden.webs.com 1 brick of peat moss- medium or large 5 lb bag of lime 2 bags of any organic matter Mushroom compost Cow manure Peat humus

Garden Parking Only people with handicapped tags are to park in handicapped space. Leave these spaces for people who need close access for physical reasons. No one wants to garden with exhaust fumes.

Recycle in the yellow recycling containers.

Put trash in the trash dumpster.

Put plant matter only in the compost area.

Be kind to your neighbor Maximum height for trellis is 5 high.. Trellis installed only on right side of plot as to not shade your neighbor. All trellis must be 8 off the plot border No fencing on wooden borders, everything must be 8 in. Do not shade your neighbor Weed your plot Be careful with the hose

Please!!! If there is a problem with your plot assignment, do not disturb what is already planted and contact us. If you want another plot, let us know. Plant 8 in from your plot border giving room for plants to grow and expand and not grow into your neighbor s plot.
