They will explain how to avoid hazards that may endanger you or persons using or maintaining your pool or spa. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS When using this electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: CAUTION READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS Follow all applicable electrical codes. A qualified licensed electrician should perform electrical hookup. Turn off power at main source before making any electrical connections or servicing the unit. Use only liquid-tight flexible nonmetallic conduit for electrical connections. A terminal marked G is located inside the supply terminal compartment. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this terminal must be connected to the grounding means provided in the electrical supply service panel with a continuous copper wire equivalent in size to the circuit conductors supplying this equipment. At least one lug marked BONDING LUG provided on the external surface of the unit. To reduce the risk of electric shock, connect the local common bond grid in the area of the pool or spa to this terminal with an insulated or bare copper conductor not smaller than 6 AWG. ALWAYS wear safety glasses when using power equipment during the WARNING installation process. Install at least 5 ft from pool or spa water using nonmetallic plumbing. Mount ozone generator near pool equipment at least one (1) foot above maximum water level to prevent water from contacting electrical equipment. Install in accordance with the installation instructions. Short-term inhalation of high concentrations of ozone and long-term inhalation of low concentrations of ozone gas can cause serious harmful physiological affects. Do not inhale gas produced by this unit. If installed in an enclosed space make sure to account for adequate ventilation. Ballast Replacement USA 1. Turn the supply power to unit off. Disconnect the flow meter assembly from the Clear 03 electrical housing & set safely aside. 2. Remove the earth ground from Clear 03 aluminum body. 3. Remove the left side end cap & gasket. When reassembling unit, replace gasket. 4. Disconnect the supply power and ground wiring from electrical housing. 5. Remove the flex connector nut & pull the supply wire conduit from Clear 03 electrical housing. 3 6. Loosen the screws on upper & lower mounting brackets. Remove the Clear 03 unit from the mounting location. 7. Disconnect the lamp connector from lamp (do not pull directly on wires).
8. Remove lamp from housing & safely set aside, making sure not to touch the lamp glass with bare hands. Wear protective rubber gloves. Back 9. Remove the two screws that secure the electrical housing to the aluminum body. 10. Remove the two screws that secure the supply power terminal block to the electrical housing (NOTE that white wire is towards the back). 11. Gently slide the electrical enclosure from the aluminum body, while holding the lamp connector. 12. Remove the gasket, as needed, from the aluminum body. When reassembling unit, replace gasket. 13. Remove the outer nut from the grounding post. Slide both ground wire ring terminals from the post. 14. Slide the ballast assembly from the body. 15. Re-assemble unit with new ballast assembly by reversing steps 1-16 described above. NOTE: Be careful not to pinch or roll new gaskets during re-assembly. 4

The UV-C emitter does not require cleaning during its life span. Unintended use of the appliance or damage to the housing may result in the escape of dangerous UV-C radiation. Ballast Replacement AU 1. Turn the supply power to unit off. Disconnect the power cord from electrical supply. Disconnect the flow meter assembly from Clear O3 electrical housing and set safely aside 2. Remove the left side end cap & gasket. When reassembling, replace gasket. 3. Loosen the screws on the upper & lower mounting brackets. Remove Clear O3 unit from the mounting location. Loosen the seal-tight connector that secures the supply power cord to the electrical housing. 4. Disconnect the lamp connector from lamp (do not pull directly on wires). 5. Remove lamp from housing & safely set aside, making sure not to touch the lamp glass with bare hands. Wear protective rubber gloves. 6. Remove the two power wires (brown & blue) from the terminal block. Remove the two screws that secure the electrical housing to the aluminum body. 7
7. Remove the two screws that secure the terminal block to the electrical housing. Note that the white wire is towards the back. 8. Gently slide the electrical housing from the aluminum body to expose the ground lug location. 9. Remove the outer nut from the grounding post. Slide both ground wire ring terminals from the post. 10. Slide the ballast assembly from the body. 11. Reassemble with new ballast assembly by reversing steps described above. Note: Be careful not to pinch or roll new gaskets during reassembly. 8
