Fruits spring to early fall (1). Leaflets fold down in direct sunlight and at night to conserve moisture, and in heavy rainfall to reduce the impact of raindrops (4). Wood-sorrel Oxalis oregana Range Washington, Oregon and northern California, rare in alluvial forests of western Vancouver Island and Queen Charlotte Islands (4).
