3 FITTING THE FRONT PANEL 3.1 Technical information for installation - adjusting the front panel (fitted dishwasher) Fig. 3 Fig. 4 115 137,5 In the fitted version, the front control panel can easily be aligned with the drawers of the kitchen units, using the strips provided with the appliance (See Fig. 3 and Fig. 4). The height of the front control panel is 115 mm. There are 3 strips provided, and each one increases the height by 7.5 mm (if necessary it is possible to fit up to 5 of these strips). GB 99-11-02/01 5-26
3.2 Using the drilling template When preparing the dishwasher for insertion in the kitchen units, under no circumstances drill holes in the side walls and door of the appliance, as this might cause it to malfunction. Before carrying out operations that require access to internal components, always disconnect the dishwasher from the power supply. The maximum dimensions (and weight) of the wooden panels to be fitted to the dishwasher are as follows: 60 cm 45 cm Height (fitted) 610 610 Height (totally hidden) 725 725 Width 598 448 Thickness 20 20 Weight 2 10 Kg 0 7.5 Kg The height of 610 mm, for the fitted dishwasher, must be decreased if the height of the front panel is increased using the compensation strips. It may be necessary to trim the mopboard, should this prevent the door from opening completely. To fasten the panel to the dishwasher door, bring the top edge of the template (obtained by cutting out the shape marked in the folder supplied with the appliance) (indicated by arrow A in Fig. 5 for totally hidden dishwashers in Fig. 6 for fitted dishwashers) up to the top edge of the panel. Both sides of the template (at top and bottom) are marked with a number of positions, corresponding to the various panel widths available. Align the template with the right or left hand side of the panel, so that the latter coincides with the measurement required. Trace the position of screws by inserting the tip of a drill or a pencil into the three holes closes to the side in question (indicated by arrow B in Fig. 5 for totally hidden dishwashers in Fig. 6 for fitted dishwashers). Repeat the above operation on the opposite side, using the corresponding side of the template. GB 99-11-02/01 6-26

3.3 Fastening the brackets to the wooden door Drill holes with a diameter of 2 mm at the positions marked. In the case of chipboard panels, only drill the surface coat, whereas in solid wood panels the holes can be drilled deeper. Position the two brackets on the holes drilled at the bottom of the panel. The brackets must be fastened to each side, using the outermost holes; the fins must face downwards. The connection blocks (in the totally hidden dishwasher) must be screwed into the two top holes (Fig. 7). Fig. 7 Fig. 8 Fig. 9 A B GB 99-11-02/01 8-26

3.5 Adjusting the door springs Fig. 19 The door must, obviously, be perfectly balanced, that is to say it must be adjusted so that it remains stationary in whatever position it is opened to. On delivery the spring tension is adjusted to guarantee a perfect balance with lightweight wooden panels. Balance can be achieved for heavier, solid wood panels merely by turning the screws located at the top of the appliance in a clockwise direction, making sure both screws are turned by the same amount, as shown in the figure. To do this, use a size 4 mm Allen wrench. + + Fig. 20 + Kg. GB 99-11-02/01 13-26
3.6 Fitting the wooden door to the dishwasher before installing with the client Fig. 21 Should it be necessary to transport the appliance to its final destination after having fitted the wooden panel and made any adjustments to the height of the front panel (fitted dishwasher), we recommend that the original packing be used. For this reason the packing has been designed to allow the above operations to be carried out without having to unpack the product completely. It is recommended that you proceed in sequence, as indicated in Fig. 21 from 1 to 6. 1. Using a knife, cut the door side of the packing along the pre-cut marks on the three sides (1) 2. Lift up the door side of the packing, cut off the front corner elements and discard them (2) 3. Assemble the wooden door (3) (4) 4. Return the door side of the packing to its original position (5) 5. Seal the cuts with adhesive tape (6) 1 2 3 4 5 6 GB 99-11-02/01 14-26
3.7 Adjusting the feet Fig. 22 Fit the appliance into the space provided and then adjust the rear height by turning the three size 4 mm setscrews located at the bottom front (in the models with this option); turn the screws clockwise to raise the appliance and anticlockwise to lower it. Level the appliance at the front using a size 13 mm setscrew wrench. N.B. Do not use electric screwdrivers when adjusting the back feet. E Fig. 23 N.B. Always use the slides provided with the appliance, to avoid damaging the floor. Fig. 24 C GB 99-11-02/01 15-26
3.8 Fastening to the worktop (wooden worktop only) Fig. 25 Once the appliance has been fitted and all adjustments have been made, the appliance itself can be made more stable by fastening it to the worktop with two wood screws, as illustrated in the photo. GB 99-11-02/01 16-26
4 FITTING THE MOPBOARD Fig. 26 Position the dishwasher in the fitting space. Carry out the following operations: 1. Fit the continuous mopboard as indicated by the manufacturer of the kitchen units 2. Open the dishwasher door slowly to check whether the panel fitted to it bangs against the mopboard 3. If so, it will be necessary to trim the mopboard The height required for the mopboard in the area in which the door opens ( y ) can be calculated using the following table. a b Fig. 27 a (mm) b (mm) 90 100 110 120 130 140 150 160 170 40 78 87 96 105 114 122 129 136 141 50 79 88 97 106 115 123 131 137 142 60 80 90 99 108 117 126 134 141 146 70 83 93 102 112 121 131 139 147 154 80 87 97 107 117 127 138 148 158 169 90 90 100 110 120 130 140 150 160 170 100 90 100 110 120 130 140 150 160 170 y y More specifically, after inserting the two heights a and b, read across the values in the table to find the height y. Eliminate any excess mopboard. 4. Waterproof the cut surface with varnish GB 99-11-02/01 17-26
Fig. 28 5. Re-fit the continuous mopboard y Fig. 29 If the dishwasher is to be fitted at the end of a composition, a kit is available (Spare Parts Code 059638) to enable the mopboard to be fitted to the appliance. To do this, position the brackets on the mopboard GB 99-11-02/01 18-26
Fig. 30 and use the slots provided on the front panel of the appliance. Fig. 31 Insert the brackets with the mopboard. Then lock the metal brackets using the square element and screw. N.B. To show the various items more clearly, the mopboard is not illustrated in the figure, but only the brackets. GB 99-11-02/01 19-26

5 PLUMBING IN 5.1 Connecting to the water supply 5.1.1 Connecting to the cold water tap Fig. 33 Connect the supply pipe to a cold water tap with a 3 / 4 " threaded mouth, taking care to fasten it tightly to the tap and inserting the filter element correctly (Fig. 33). A In models fitted with a supply pipe with WATERSTOP device the filter element is already fitted in the threaded mouth. If the water supply pipe is new, or has not been used for some time, run the water through it before connecting, until the water runs clear and contains no impurities. If this precaution is not taken, the water inlet may become clogged, damaging the appliance. GB 99-11-02/01 21-26
5.1.2 Connecting to the hot water tap The appliance can be supplied with mains hot water (hot water or central heating system) on condition that it does not exceed a temperature of 60 C. In this case the washing time will be approximately 15' shorter and the washing efficiency will be slightly less. 5.1.3 Anti-flooding device (on some models only) Fig. 34 Some models are fitted with a system that cuts off the water supply in the event of a fault in the inlet pipe or leakage from inside the appliance, THUS PREVENTING DAMAGE TO THE HOME. If for any reason the WATERSTOP box (which contains electrical parts) is damaged in any way, immediately disconnect the plug from the mains power supply. To guarantee operation of the anti-flooding safety device the box A with the water inlet pipe must only be connected to the tap in the position illustrated in Fig. 34. The supply pipe must never be cut, as it contains electrically powered elements. If the pipe is not of a sufficient length for proper connection, it can be replaced by another of the required length, available as a spare part. A A GB 99-11-02/01 22-26
5.2 Connecting to the drainage system Fig. 35 The drainage pipe can be connected as follows: 1. To the sink drain siphon, ensuring that the drainage pipe is fastened to the worktop to prevent water from returning to the dishwasher; 2. To a drainage pipe with a minimum diameter of 40 mm; 3. Resting it on the sink, using the special plastic U-bend provided to prevent crushing or excessive curving of the pipe (Fig. 35). The special plastic U-bend must be firmly fixed to the wall to prevent the drainage pipe from moving and draining water anywhere but into the sink. In all cases, the free end of the pipe must measure between 40 and 100 mm and it must not be underwater. A 6 CONNECTION TO THE MAINS Insert the plug into a power socket fitted with a proper earthing connection, after first checking that the voltage and frequency of the mains power supply correspond to the values indicated on the rating plate on the appliance s stainless steel door fairing, and that the system to which it is being connected is sized for the maximum load indicated on the plate. If the socket to which the appliance is connected does not correspond to the plug, always replace it with a suitable plug, rather than using adapters or extensions, as these might result in overheating and therefore create a fire hazard. GB 99-11-02/01 23-26
CAUTIONS AND ADVICE Positioning The appliance can be placed with its sides or back to adjacent units or to the wall. The dishwasher is fitted with water supply and drainage pipes that can be turned to the right or left to allow for proper installation. Levelling Once the appliance has been positioned, screw the feet in or out to adjust the height of the appliance, if necessary, so as to level it horizontally; under no circumstances must it be inclined by an angle of more than 2. Good levelling will ensure that the dishwasher operates correctly. Supply and drainage pipes Do not use drainage pipes with extensions over 3 metres in length, as these might reduce the efficiency of the appliance. Should it be necessary to use a water supply pipe longer than the one provided with the appliance (with waterstop), the spare parts code is 038498 and the pipe is 4 metres long. Installing the product Always use the two teflon slides provided with the appliance to avoid damaging the floor when inserting the appliance into the fitting space, and to facilitate its extraction for any technical servicing required.
