Sensitive smoke detector UL-approved ( File No. S25270 ) Do you know the three blind spots of traditional aspirating smoke detector system? ❶ Smoke area unspecifiable due to collective aspiration from suction pipe. ❷ True detection impossible due to smoke dilution in suction pipe. ❸ Slow detection if suction area and control unit are distant. Aspirating smoke detector Smoke suction pipe Detection Sensor Line of Power & data transmission Air circulation Smoke flow Smoke concentration data transmission We provide you with the best solution.
An ultimate sensitive smoke detector system realized by Fenwal Controls of Japan, Ltd. Suction Alarm System:The smoke area can be specified quickly because of the smoke detector module which has set addresses. Advanced sensitive smoke detector & control unit with built-in suction fan Alarm address display the pre-alarm and alarm is quickly sounded according to the set level. It demonstrates its effect when set it in places where smoke emission may occur such as power supply devices or running gears. Inside server rack Power supply devices in factory Semiconductor test equipment FA production line robot running gear
which has a track record with its disaster prevention system for large facilities and factories in the industrial world. Settings examples The SAS (Suction Alarm System) enables appropriate placement of detector that suit site condition and building structure. Direct method Detection module Abnormalities can be identified with instantaneous detections even in large spaces since each detector aspirates smoke. Semiconductor test equipment FA line Communication equipment room Radio broadcast place Food manufacturing line, etc. Tube method Detection module It is possible to extend a tube from the detector and precisely detect any abnormalities even with closely divided powered equipment in cubicles. Distribution board Server Power supply unit, etc.
By connecting with a computer, the situation can be fully grasped from the monitoring room. 1 Trend graph display features Trend graph which displays time series data of smoke concentration variation, can be displayed about each address. 4 Condition display features Current conditions of each address can be displayed so that a user can check alarm levels and troubles etc. 2 Alarm/pre-alarm setting up function Up to 31 detectors are connectable to a control unit. Each address can be set alarm and prealarm level. 5 Control unit setting up function Upper/lower value of air flow, and number of detectors to connect can be set to a receiver. Further, system reset operation can be made. 3 History reporting features In total 1,023 of history data can be displayed and printed as a list. 6 Alarm signal reception display features (option) Address of detected modules and located places can be displayed on a layout drawing.
Detectors accurately detect the smoke area / condition. Traditional sampling method blind spots (E.g.) In a traditional system with a 0.1%/m sensitive smoke detector with 30 suction sockets Blind spot 1 Detection is impossible even if aspirated smoke has an above threshold concentration due to smoke dilution in suction tube. Even if concentrated smoke is aspirated, it is diluted before detection. Consequently, its concentration does not reach the threshold, and thus not detected. Even if 2%/m of concentrated smoke is aspired from the 30th socket, not only will the emission area not be specified, but, if the smoke flow from other sockets is equivalent to zero, the smoke concentration in the detector part will become 0.07%/m, and thus not be detected. Blind spot 2 Correct detection is impossible due to aspirated smoke being diluted in suction tube. Even if aspired smoke concentrations from a wide area reaches the threshold, the slightest dilution will render it to become undetectable. It will work if the 30 suction sockets aspirate a 0.1%/m concentrated smoke. However, if one of those sockets presents a smoke flow equivalent to zero, the smoke concentration in the detector part will decrease to 0.09%/m, and thus will not be detected. Blind spot 3 Smoke area will be unspecifiable and detection time will vary according to suction point with several suction sockets (our prior products). Even if smoke is detected, the source of emission cannot be specified. Detection time will vary according to suction point. Suction Alarm System g A sensitive smoke detection system that solves prior problems It is not influenced by smoke concentration inside suction sockets Detection module 2 3 1 1 By setting individual addresses for the smoke detector modules, it is possible to specify the smoke area. 2 It is possible to set the sensitivity of each detector module within a range of 0.1%m to 3% of smoke concentration. 3 Cause each module will detect, time difference due to distance will not occur.
