Two task groups have been formed, one to develop Public Comments to NFPA1952 and NFPA 1953, and one to review the project s protective clothing and equipment documents with respect to possible consolidation, structure and cycle changes. The Supplemental Operating Procedures for Test Method Validation are also continuing to progress towards approval by the NFPA Standards Council. The Chair also updated the TC on the recent TIAs to NFPA 1981 and NFPA 1982. 6. Chairman Athanas solicited input on the possibility of devices and technology that may fall under this committee that may be used as a potential detonation mechanism for secondary explosive devices. He appointed the following task group to look into this: Task Group on Risk vs. Reward of the Use of Technology Gordon Sletmoe - Chair Jack Jarboe John Facella Kate Remley Matthew Shannon Ken Link Kamil Agi Bill Young Mike Hussey The purpose is to look at where we are and where we are headed and to determine if this is even an issue. The TG is to look at additional groups or resources that may have already worked on these issues (public, commercial, military), and look at UK experience and planning; there is a lot out there. 7.
