Description of the unit Description The TopMaster is a compact unit in two sizes that need little space. Compact dimensions and low noise provide great flexibility in the positioning of the unit. All duct connections are on top of the unit. The unit is supplied with directly driven supply and extract fans, supply and extract filters and a rotary heat recovery unit. The Curo control system is integrated with the unit and is ready for use with a large number of functions. Description of the unit - design Casing The unit is made of galvanized sheet steel and the outside is painted white. The casing is insulated with 25 mm mineral wool. Service hatches for the fans, filter and rotor have handles and locks. The unit is supplied on a stable base which can be fitted with feet. Corrosivity class C3 Permeability CEN class L3 (CEN class A) Fan We chose the fan for the TopMaster to give you top performance and overall economy combined with low noise levels. The fan is a single inlet radial fan with forward curved blades. It is driven by an EC motor and controlled by the unit's Curo control system. Flow or pressure regulation can be ordered Casing components Filter Supply and extract filters made of fibreglass. Filter class F5 on the extract side and F7 on the supply side. The filters are pressed against the sealing strip in the casing. as accessories. Water heater The heater for water heating consists of copper pipe and aluminium fins. Pipe connection Ø15. Contact sensors for frost protection are included in the control equipment. Max. operating pressure 1.6 MPa. Rotary heat exchanger Speed controlled rotor made of non-hygroscopic aluminium provided with a purging sector and rotation sensor. During normal ventilation there is no need for defrosting. At a relative humidity of the extract above 30% and an outdoor temperature lower than 15 C there may be a risk of frosting. Check the need for defrosting with Fläkt Woods AB. Electric heater Electric heater with built-in control equipment for power control. Heater element in stainless steel. The weighted noise levels given in db(a) apply to ducts on the fan s outlet side. The SFPv values for each fan are calculated according to the Svensk Ventilation (Swedish Association of Air Handling Industries) V document 1995:1 (rev. 2000), that is, clean filters, and account taken of leakage and cleaning flows and any additional pressure drop for correct pressure balance. Accessories Water cooler for duct mounting RDNN Air cooler for cold water with copper pipe and aluminium fins. The cooler is built into a galvanized sheet steel casing with 9 mm insulation. The casing has a removable hatch for cleaning and duct connections with rubber ring seals. The cooler is installed so that the distance to the fan or bend upstream of the cooler is at least 600 mm. The cooler is only available in a left-hand configuration. Venting and draining is carried out via the pipe system. The pipe connection, Ø 22 mm, is located on the outlet end, is smooth and is intended for a compression fitting. The drainage tray is in stainless steel and has an R 1/2 connection. Max. operating pressure 1.0 Mpa. Max. operating temperature C. Duct silencer RDLD The silencer is a straight circular duct silencer with mm mineral wool filling. Duct connections have rubber seals. The silencer consists of a perforated sheet metal pipe surrounded by a galvanized sheet steel mantle and end pieces sandwiching mineral wool covered with nonwoven fabric to prevent fibre migration. Leakage class 3 (CEN 3). The damper is made of galvanized sheet steel and has a spring return on/off actuator mounted on it. The actuator is connected to a terminal block in the electrical cabinet. The damper has a duct connection with a rubber ring seal and it can be mounted directly onto the unit or into the duct. It is designed for duct insulation of up to mm. At speeds below 10 m/s and the damper fully open the sound power level is below 20 db. A spring return shut-off damper should be used for units with a water coil. 486 Adjustable foot, RDTZ-03 The unit can be mounted directly onto the surface if this is flat and horizontal. Accessories Combined terminal device RDTZ-09 Outside wall cow for outdoor and exhaust, intended for wall mounting. The cow prevents the mixing of the two flows. It is made of plastic coated sheet metal and consists of a wall plate, wall cow and front panel. Controls General The TopMaster is supplied with integrated Curo control equipment including the Curo Touch control panel. All internal components are pre-connected and the unit is factory tested. The TopMaster control equipment has been developed to be easy to use. The control equipment can communicate via the Modbus RS485 or Modbus TCP/IP protocols. Plain text is used for calibration and reading off values on the Curo Touch control panel. Control functions Fan control The fans in the TopMaster have three different speeds: Minimum, Normal and Maximum. Switching fan speed is carried out using time channels, a timer, push buttons or occupancy detectors. Flow or pressure control are available as accessories. Temperature control There are the following options: Supply control Maintaining the supply temperature. Extract control Maintaining the extract temperature through cascade control of the supply temperature with minimum and maximum limitation. Room control (accessory) Maintaining the extract temperature through the cascade control of the supply temperature with minimum and maximum limitation. Night purging (free cooling) The Night purging setting is used during the summer months. The building can be cooled at night using cold outdoor. Used outside ordinary operating hours. When both the room temperature and outdoor temperature exceed the set threshold value, and the difference between these threshold values exceeds the set difference, the unit is started in order to cool the building with fresh outdoor. The post cooler is not activated. Cooling recovery Starts the rotary heat exchanger with full recovery to cool the supply when the extract temperature is lower than the outdoor temperature and there is a cooling demand. Outdoor temperature compensation Offsets the set supply temperature setpoint. Not in combination with extract or room control. Control of heater Control signal 0-10 V for valve actuators or the electric heater with a built-in thyristor. Frost protection: When the unit is not in operation the water temperature is maintained at 25 C. During operation the valve is governed so that the return temperature does not fall below 12 C. If the temperature drops below 5 C the unit is stopped and an alarm is generated. Circulation pump for heater Max. current approx. 2 A, 1-phase 230 V. Exercise is carried out from the control unit. Valve actuator for heater Valve actuator compatible with a valve with a 5.5 mm lift and G 3/4 thread. Control of cooler Control signal 0-10 V for cooler, water. Control signal to cooler for direct expansion, DX, closing contact. Circulation pump for cooler Max. current approx. 2 A, 1-phase 230 V. Exercise is carried out from the control unit. Valve actuator for cooler Valve actuator compatible with a valve with a 5.5 mm lift and G 3/4 thread. Fire protection system A fire protection system can be connected to the unit. Function: stopping the unit. Communication The control equipment can communicate via the Modbus RS485 or Modbus TCP/IP protocols. Filter monitor (accessory) Generates an alarm if the pressure drop across the relevant filter exceeds the set value. Not in combination with a flow monitor. Flow monitor (accessory) Stops the unit and generates an alarm on low flow. Not in combination with a filter monitor. Defrosting (accessory) If the rotor freezes it is defrosted using a pressure monitor.
