If available, additional plots may be reserved after May 1. COMMUNITY GARDENS AT LEHNER PARK Rules and Waiver 1. All plantings shall be annual only. 2. Garden hours follow park hours from May 1 to November 1. 3. Due to safety concerns with children at play in Lehner Park, motorized vehicles are NOT allowed on the grass. 4. Dogs are not allowed in the garden area and must be leashed if they are elsewhere in the park. 5. Temporary fencing is suggested to control nuisance animals. Animal traps are not allowed. 6. All trash must be removed from the site. 7. Plots must be completely cleaned of all debris and structure (fencing, arbors, cages, decorations) by the end of the season. 8. Damage to other property or park vegetation (nearby trees, etc.) will not be tolerated. 9. Garden plots shall not have excessive weed growth. If complaints are received, gardeners may be prohibited from renewing a plot for the next season. I, the undersigned, understand and agree to abide by the above rules. I also understand the Village of Howard is not responsible for any lost or stolen materials or products. I am responsible for protecting my garden from animals and weather conditions and will not hold the village responsible. I release the Village of Howard, its employees and other participants from any liability for injuries and damages sustained while participating in the Community Garden program. The West Side Community Garden is located next to Fire Station #2 near Milltown Road and Shawano Avenue. Plots are 20 x20 for $20 or 40 x40 for $40. Plots are first come, first serve and must be reserved and paid in person at Howard Village Hall, 2456 Glendale Ave.
