Model IVSI-4ZC Offers Zero Clearance to Combustibles Available in 1", 2", or 4" insulation
Model IVSI Venting Increases usable floor space. Offers the lowest clearance to combustibles in the industry, as listed by UL/ULC. Your choice of 1", 2", or 4" insulated components. Many Applications AMPCO s ceramic-insulated and sealed exhaust systems are ideal for discharging exhaust gases and fumes from boilers, heaters, ovens, engines, turbines, and kitchen appliances. Reduces Skin Temperature AMPCO insulated chimneys are UL/ULC-listed and will accommodate flue gases at temperatures not exceeding 1800 F intermittent operation and up to 1400 F continuous operation. Grease duct applications will accommodate flue gases at temperatures not exceeding 500 F continuous. AMPCO insulated venting saves on cooling bills because it reduces ambient temperatures in boiler and engine rooms. AMPCO s insulated venting is interchangeable with all AMPCO stack components. You can insulate sections only as required. Furthermore, AMPCO insulated venting increases usable floor space because it reduces clearance to combustibles and noncombustible materials. You maximize floor space and reduce building heat gain. Full Product Line AMPCO chimneys are available in diameters from 6" through 48". You have a choice of 1", 2", or 4" insulated thickness. Fittings include: Variable lengths 90 manifold tees 45 lateral tees Wyes 15, 30, 45, and 90 elbows Support pieces Termination components Adapters Expansion joints Sealants Lightweight, interchangeable and easy to install AMPCO insulated components are so light and easy to install that 1 or 2 people can easily assemble them without special equipment. No welding or onsite fabrication is required. Components are interchangeable, allowing complex systems to be assembled from standard elements. This means modifications, additions or repairs can be made quickly and economically. Furthermore, AMPCO furnishes detailed drawings and easy-tofollow instructions. This reduces installation time and assures a safe installation. AMPCO ceramic-insulated venting reduces skin temperature. AMPCO 484 N. Model IVSI Venting Professional Engineering and Technical Support AMPCO engineers have many years of experience. This is why they can help you design a complete venting system, whether your system is very simple or complex. All you need to furnish is the basic information. (See Design Checklist on page 3.) We ll perform all sizing calculations, provide submittal CAD drawings, and furnish a bill of materials for the total system designed to your specifications. Chances are the AMPCO system can be installed at far less cost than conventional onsite construction methods. Labor savings can be as much as 50% or more! When you work with AMPCO, you deal with a company that is known for quick product delivery, quality components, and excellent customer service. That s not just a promise. It s our guarantee! Quality Construction and 10-Year Factory Warranty AMPCO insulated venting is built to last for years. Inner walls are constructed of 304 or optional 316 stainless steel. Type 316 stainless is recommended for high sulphur fuels and/or corrosive environments. All pipes and fittings are continuous seam-welded and pressure tight. Wide-end flanges provide a strong, virtually leak-proof joint. Containment and closure bands resist slippage from vibration or thermal expansion because they are deeply flanged and channeled. 1" Ceramic-Insulated Venting 2" 4" AMPCO 484 N. Model IVSI - Assembly Many Exclusive Features Fast, on site assembly. No need for welding or special tools! AMPCO insulated elements simplify on-site installation. Components are joined together with a Containment Band that is fitted over the butted flanges of the adjoining inner wall and bolted in place. No welding is necessary. A Closure Band is then fitted over the outer wall and bolted in place. Hangers, Wall Supports, and other accessories are just as easy to install. 3. Fill the channel of the flanged band with proper sealant. 1. 2. 4. 5. 6. Apply a continuous bead of the proper sealant to one of the flanges to be joined. Join the two flanged ends of the pipe sections together. Install flange band around flanges. Install insulation strips to ensure all air gaps are filled. Secure the outer casing with the Closure Band. Check to make sure pieces are secure and air tight. AMPCO s patented spacers, a tighter fit and quieter operation AMPCO s patented spacer separates the walls of the AMPCO positive pressure insulated components. These patented spacers virtually eliminate insulation voids and hot spots. Spacers strengthen stability and provide a stronger base for the closure band. This results in extra strength, tighter fit, and quieter operation. AMPCO s sealants, a virtually leak-free joint AMPCO s VS 600 sealant is used for outer wall weather-proofing and for particle containment only. AMPCO s VS 2000 sealant is for all-temperature inner wall joint requirements. AMPCO 484 N. Model IVSI Installations Typical boiler stack installation using IVSI Ability to reduce clearances to one-half inch. Greatly reduces clearance requirements of welded steel and those of competitive products, while providing a safer environment. Saves on cooling bills by reducing appliance-radiated exhaust heat. Agency-listed for temperatures up to 1000 F continuous, 1400 F intermittent and 1400 F continuous, 1800 F intermittent. Interchangeable with all other AMPCO positive pressure components. Material or air-insulated components can be integrated to achieve desired results within a single exhaust system. Typical diesel engine exhaust installation using IVSI Reduced skin temperatures mean less risk of personal injury. Reduced skin temperatures result in reduced clearances to combustibles, the best in the industry. Provides minimum exhaust back pressure for maximum performance. AMPCO will design, at no charge, an exhaust system that will allow for thermal expansion, as well as increasing engine and exhaust system life. Agency-listed for temperatures up to 1000 F continuous, 1400 F intermittent and 1400 F continuous, 1800 F intermittent. AMPCO 484 N.
