Top tip! White wine vinegar is a great natural cleaner use it with boiling water to steam shine glasses and buff cutlery. Kitchen If your home doesn t have a kitchen with all the bells and whistles, don t worry quality appliances are the perfect finishing touch, and just make sure you re fully stocked with tea, coffee and sugar too. Wipe everything down, including backsplashes and oven hoods to remove grease, grime and any dust that will have accumulated during the down season. Re-stock washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin bags and dishcloths. Check all appliances are working. Provide an array of spices. Check glassware, utensils, cutlery and crockery for any chips, cracks or breakages and give it all a wipe over. Leave a new set of tea towels and remove the old ones. Bedrooms Give guests a great night s sleep with dreamy bedroom décor and soft sheets for the perfect relaxation. 3 Make sure bedding and towels are clean and fresh throw away any that have tears or stains. Offer a selection of additional pillows. Keep a selection of mobile chargers for guests who forget theirs. Make sure surfaces and mirrors are free from dust and cobwebs. Bathroom A clean bathroom is top of any guest s list, so take extra care to make sure it s gleaming and grime-free. Bleach and wipe everything down including the bath, shower, units, shelves and the toilet checking for any mould, rust or stains. For a touch of fun, leave a selection of bath bombs. Top tip! As you tackle the bathroom, check there are no blocked plugholes or any leaks that may not have been reported. Check the bin is empty. Make sure there s plenty of toilet paper. Ensure you have a slip matt for guests that are less mobile. Supply spare toothbrushes. Luxury toiletries are a nice touch and make your property feel like a home away from home. Outside Lucky enough to have outdoor space? Get the garden in great condition so guests can make the most of good weather. Dont forget! Sweep the patio or balcony free of leaves and debris. Offer a BBQ ready for the sun. Cut the grass. Prune back any untidy bushes. If you allow pets, you might need to double check the garden for any droppings that need to be cleared away and yellow spots on the lawn that might need treatment. Invest in quality garden furniture. If you have a hot tub, make sure all maintenance is up-to-date. 4
