The Air Conditioning / Refrigeration System The domestic and industrial Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Systems consist of four different phases in the gas handling: CONDENSATION, EVAPORATION, COMPRESSION, SYSTEM CONTROL. The system reliability is assured by the quality of the connections between the single components. 1 compressor to condenser, 2 condenser to evaporator, 3 evaporator to compressor, 4 compressor to control units (such as pressure switches or pressure gauges). YESTERDAY The conveying of refrigerating gases was assured by the use of copper tubes, with substantial dissatisfaction of all the main users, because of the following disadvantages: High noise level. High vibrations transmission, possible cause of failures. Long working time as all the different components had to be welded to the system (copper tubes, elbow copper connectors, mufflers, etc.). TODAY Today, thanks to the technological development reached with the thermoplastic materials, all these negativities have been removed and an excellent and long lasting answer to the system reliability has been reached. The experience gained from joint development programs together with the main Italian O.E.M. s has demonstrated considerable advantages such as: High flexibility and strength. Condenser noise reduction in comparison with the classic application (vibration damper, muffler). Strong reduction of vibrations transmission. Time saving for system construction: no welded connections (copper tubes, copper flanges, etc.). Improved system quality and reliability. The new K-LINK hose range (K-LS; K-LC; K-LCP), developed by TEHAG (O.E.M. REUSABLE FITTINGS for K-LS Working temperature: -30 C / +90 C Reusable fittings consist of a screw sleeve, to be fitted over the outside of the hose, and an insert, which is driven forcibly into the bore; the insert enlarges the internal diameter of the hose and compresses the wall against the inside of the sleeve, ensuring that the parts are held safely together. Instructions for hose assembling with reusable fittings The following pictures and relevant descriptions show the essential steps to be carried out for a correct hose assembling with reusable fittings: 1 Cut the hose on size using proper shears, automatic or manual cutters, etc. The cut must be perfectly square. Clean the cut surface. 2 Hold the hose and, using the proper wrench size, screw the sleeve anti-clockwise onto the cover, till the hose end is some 2/3 mm from the top of the sleeve. 3 Using two wrenches in opposition, tighten the insert clockwise fully home against the sleeve. 4 Insert the sleeve on the hose. 5 Put the insert in the sleeve. 6 The system is ready for use. 6 Parker Hannifin S.p.A.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MANUAL ASSEMBLING OF CAPILLARY K-LCP 80000024 1 Cut the hose on size using proper shears, automatic or manual cutters. To obtain a perfect assembling, the must be perfectly square. Clean the surface, if necessary. 2 Insert the sleeve on the hose, turning the identification sign (groove) of the sleeve towards the hose side to be assembled. 3 Insert the nut on the hose. 4 Put the insert inside the hose. 5 Make the nut slide onto the external part of the insert and push the sleeve till covering the bottom of the insert. 6 Assemble the hose by positioning manual pliers on the sleeve covering its whole surface. Crimp till hand pliers open automatically. A second crimping in useful to obtain a safer assembling. Suggestions to regulate hand pliers. To be sure hand pliers are well regulated, assemble one hose and check that the average diameter of the crimped sleeve is 7,1 mm (just one of the eight diameters can be maximum 7,3 mm). If not, regulate the cam still the obtaned crimped sleeve in perfect. 7 Parker Hannifin S.p.A.
