LET S BEGIN Remove the appliance from the box. Remove any packaging from the appliance. Place the packaging inside the box and store or dispose of safely. LET S SEE WATCHA GOT Waffle maker Instruction manual COOL CHARACTERISTICS Locking lid latch Non-stick cooking surface for easy cleaning Cord wrap for storage Automatic temperature control Power and ready light indicator ALL OF THE BITS Upper cooking plate Locking lid latch Non-stick cooking surface Lower cooking plate IT S PARTY TIME BEFORE USING YOUR WAFFLE MAKER Before using your waffle maker for the first time, clean it with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Lightly coat the cooking plates with a small amount of vegetable oil, applied using either an oil spray or a paper towel. The oil will help to protect the quality of the cooking plates. Note: During the first use, there may be a slight odour or smoke emitted from the waffle maker. The residues burning off the non-stick cooking plates cause this. Allow the waffle maker to preheat until the smoke and odour cease. MAKING YUMMY WAFFLES Plug your waffle maker into the mains power supply; the red indicator light will illuminate to show that it is heating up. Preheat your waffle maker for approximately 3 5 minutes. When your waffle maker is ready to use, the green ready light will turn off. Open the lid carefully using heat-resistant oven gloves and add prepared waffle batter to each of the wells. Don t overfill your waffle moulds otherwise the waffles will not raise. Close the lid of you waffle maker and cook for approximately 5 10 minutes. Note: Steam may be emitted from your waffle maker during cooking. Open your waffle maker using heat-resistant oven gloves and remove the waffles carefully, as they will be hot. When cooking more than one batch of waffles, close the lid after removing each batch to maintain the heat in your waffle maker. It is normal for the baked waffles to appear darker on the bottom than on the top. This is due to the batter rising and the waffle s contact with the heating plates. Waffle Maker 5

BASIC WAFFLES INGREDIENTS CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Always unplug your waffle maker from the mains power supply before attempting any cleaning or maintenance. Ensure that your waffle maker has completely cooled before cleaning, as it gets very hot during use. Clean the upper and lower cooking plates with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Never immerse your waffle maker in water or any other liquid. Your waffle maker is not suitable for dishwasher use. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning detergents or scourers. STORAGE Before storing your waffle maker, ensure that it has cooled and dried fully. Store in a clean, dry place. Wrap the mains cord around the base of your waffle maker for storage. SPECIFICATIONS Input: 220 240 V~ 50 Hz Output: 700 W TIP Using the basic waffle recipe you can create many variations of dessert by adding different toppings from ice cream, to fruit, to chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Follow one of the quick and easy recipes in this manual for a delicious treat! 150 g plain flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 tbsp sugar 1 egg 300 ml milk 2 tbsp vegetable oil Pinch of salt METHOD Plug your waffle maker into the mains power supply and allow it to heat up, ensuring that the lid is closed.
