Intended Use The patio heater is exclusively designed for heating outdoor and indoor areas such as terraces, conservatories or balconies. It is exclusively for private use and not suitable for commercial use. Only use the patio heater as described in this manual. Any other use is considered improper and may result in property damage or even personal injury. The patio heater is not a toy for children. The manufacturer or dealer assumes no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use. Safety Instructions WARNING! Electrocution risk! Faulty electrical installation or excessive main voltage can lead to electric shock. - Only connect the patio heater if the wall socket voltage matches the information given on the rating label. - Only connect the patio heater to sockets with protective contacts. - Only connect the patio heater to an easily accessible socket so that you can quickly disconnect it from the power supply in the event of a fault. - Do not operate the patio heater if it shows visible damage or if the mains cable or the mains plug is defective. - If the power cord of the patio heater is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified person. - Do not open the head of the patio heater by yourself. Leave all related repairs to an expert. Contact a specialist workshop, your dealer or Geda. In the case of repairs carried out independently, improper connection or incorrect operation, liability and warranty claims are excluded. - For repairs, only parts that correspond to the original device may be used. In this patio heater are electrical and mechanical parts that are essential for protection against dangers. - Do not immerse the patio heater, power cord or mains plug in water or other liquids. Never pour liquids into the patio heater. - Never touch the mains plug with wet or humid hands. - Never unplug the power cord from the power outlet by pulling the power cord, always grasp the power plug. - Never use the power cord as a carrying handle. - Keep the patio heater main plug and the main cable away from naked flames and hot surfaces. - Do not place the heater directly below a wall socket. - Do not wrap the power cord around the patio heater. - Lay the power cable so that it does not become a trip danger. - Do not bend the power cord or put it over sharp edges. - Do not use the patio heater in the immediate vicinity of a bathtub, a shower or a swimming pool. - Never reach for an electrical appliance if it has fallen into the water. In such case, disconnect the power plug immediately. - Make sure that children do not put any objects into the patio heater. - If you do not use the patio heater, clean it, or if a malfunction occurs, always switch it off and disconnect the main plug. WARNING! Dangers to children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities (eg partially disabled, elderly with disabilities or physical and mental disabilities) or lack of experience and knowledge (for example children). Parts of the patio heater can become very hot and cause burns. Special care is needed when children and vulnerable people are present. - Children younger than 3 years must be kept away from the patio heater, unless they are constantly monitored. - Children from 3 years and younger than 8 years may only switch the patio heater on and off if they have been supervised or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the resulting dangers, provided that the heater is placed in its normal position of use. Children from 3 years and younger than 8 years are not allowed to insert the plug into the socket or regulate the patio heater. Nor are they allowed to clean it, or carry out the maintenance. - The protective mesh does not provide adequate protection for small children and frail people. - Do not let children play with the packaging plastic. They can get caught up in it and suffocate while playing. WARNING! Danger of overheating and burning! Parts of the patio heater can get very hot and cause burns and / or fires. - To prevent overheating, do not cover the patio heater while it is operating or cooling down after use. - Always place the heater on an even, horizontal surface. Make sure it is secure before use. - Do not hang or put objects in or on the protective mesh. This applies both during, before and after operation. - Do not touch the protective mesh and housing of the patio heater with bare fingers during operation or during cooldown. - Never leave the patio heater unattended during operation. - Do not operate the patio heater near flammable objects, such as curtains. - Do not dry clothes or towels on or in front of the patio heater. - Disconnect the patio heater from the power socket when you are not using it. - Do not use the patio heater in a flammable environment (eg when gas escapes or dust is very strong). - Do not use the patio heater in combination with a program switch, a time switch, a separate telecontrol system or any other device that automatically turns on the patio heater. - Avoid heat build-up by not placing the heater directly against a wall. - Note that heat can escape from the patio heater even after switching off. - Do not use the patio heater if the protective mesh is damaged. - This patio heater is not equipped with a room temperature control device. It must not be used in small rooms in which people live, who can t leave the room by themselves. - The patio heater is intended for domestic use only. It may not be placed on construction sites, in greenhouses, barns, stables and other places where flammable dust may be present. - Do not use the patio heater as space heating or heat storage. - Do not use the patio heater as a heater for a hot air system. - Do not use the patio heater for animal breeding. NOTE! Risk of Damage! Improper handling of the patio heater can lead to damage. - Carefully handle the patio heater and do not expose it to bumps, hits or vibration. - Do not heat a sauna with the patio heater and do not use it in places with high levels of steam. - Stop using the patio heater if the plastic components have cracks or become deformed. Only replace damaged components with suitable original spare parts. Seite 4

Assembly Instructions: Unpack the patio heater. Check that all necessary parts are present, that nothing is left in the package and that the patio heater is completely free of packaging material. The following instructions will help you to assemble your patio heater correctly. Do not connect the patio heater to the electrical current until you have completely assembled it, if any parts are missing, or if the cables are damaged in any way. If in doubt, contact your dealer. Step 1: Turn the 6 screws out of the foot part and secure the pipe with the screw rim. Then push the decorative cover over the pipe to cover the screw connection. 1 2 3 Step 2: Open the cable lockbox on the power cord and set aside the parts for later mounting. 4 Seite 5

Step 3: Slide the power cord through the bottom of the base until it is at the top of the lower pipe. Pull the power cord further out and push it through the middle pipe part. Then screw the lower and middle pipe together. Now repeat this with the upper telescopepipe. 7 5 6 Step 4: Unscrew the 2 screws from the connector at the heater head. Plug the power cord into the heater head and secure the connection with the cable lockbox. 9 8 Seite 6

Step 5: Insert the heating head onto the pipe and screw in the screws again. 10 11 Step 6: Finally, carefully lay the patio heater on its side and loosen the cable clamp on the base, then screw the clamp back in with the cable secured underneath. 12 13 Service: Make sure that the two on / off switches are set to "o". Connect the patio heater to a grounded socket. The heating circuits are switched on with the switches on the heater. (I) or (II) for 1,000 W and (I together with II) for 2,000 W. Both switches to 0 switch off the patio heater. Although the unit is splash-proof, it should be placed in a dry area when it rains. Always unplug the appliance from the main power socket if you do not use the heater. Seite 7

Maintenance and Care: Before cleaning the heater, switch it off and disconnect it from the mains power. Clean the outside with a soft cloth. Never use wire / steel wool or the like to clean the device as it may damage the patio heater. The heating tube may only be replaced by qualified personnel. Put cardboard and paper together in their dedicated areas, and plastic and foils together. Dispose of old patio heater. (Applicable in the European Union and other European countries with systems for the separate collection of recyclables) Old appliances must not be disposed of with household waste! If the patio heater can no longer be used, every consumer is legally required to dispose of old appliances separately from household waste, eg. at a collection point of his community / district.
