BIOS URN FACT PACK Picture 1 The Bios Urn next to its HUMAN packaging. 1 2 Picture 2 The Bios Urn PET packaging. The only difference between the Human and Pet urns is the decoration on thebox, the urns are the same. On the front of the box we have the decal PET URN and on the top of the box we have this decal. 3 Picture 3 The Bios Urn, the lid and base of the box and the instruction sheet. 4 Picture 4 The Bios Urn components clockwise; The base of the urn which holds the ash made from recycled paper card materials and cellulose; the capsule section made from the same material, fits into the base of the urn; the printed paper which covers the capsule, the paper skirt that fits around the base and hooks into it, being held in place by the capsule; the bag of grow medium. Due to Australian Government Quarantine restrictions, and the wide variety of climates within Australia we are unable to supply seed that can be assured of growing.

BIOS URN FACT PACK No expiration date. Full seed comptibility. 100% biodegradable. Packed in a 100% bio-degradable green bag.

BIOS URN FACT PACK As described on the web site, your memorial will be best served by selecting a seedling from a garden centre local to your planting location. This provides a plant that is suited to your area, and provides you with the widest possible choice. The urn is made up of two sections. The top capsule, and the ash holding base section, or urn. The top capsule holds the grow medium for your seedling, and seals the ashes into the base section. The ashes will be placed in the base section by the crematorium. To place your BIOS URN Keeping both sections together. (there is no need to separate the capsule from the urn). Remove the tear away paper on the top capsule, and empty the grow medium from the bag into the capsule. Plant your BIOS URN deep enough to allow the top of the urn to be just below ground level. Loosen the roots of your selected seedling and empty any remaining soil from the seedling pot into the grow medium, and plant it into the grow medium, with some water. Water your plant, and your memorial is in place. This process can also be used when planting into pot plants. PACKING The Urns are packed 4 per master carton. (refer to Picture 11) We can get 30 master cartons strapped and shrink-wrapped safely onto a 80cm x 120cm pallet. This is approx. 195cm high and is 120 Bios Urns. We are currently producing single shipper cartons, so you can dispatch one Bios Urn in a purpose made carton when you need to. We supply one per urn on your initial order at no charge. There after you can order them as you need them. They are a brown box with a Green Print. PRODUCTION DRAWING

FAQ 1. How much does the urn hold? The capacity is 2.6L. The capacity is sufficient for a large human or animal. It is common for crematoriums to only partially fill urns. The quantity of the ash does not affect the ability of the plant to grow. It is also common for the ash of one person to go to multiple urns for planting, so be aware that the user may need more than one urn to satisfy this purpose. 2. How long does it take for the Bios Urn to bio-degrade? The level of moisture that the Bios Urn is exposed to will vary the breakdown time. The developers studies resulted in break down times of 6-10 weeks. 3. How deep do I bury the Bios Urn? The top of the urn should be approx. 2-3cm below the ground surface for best results 4. Isn t the ash too acidic to be good for the plant? By the time that the roots of the plant are close to the ash, the urn has degraded and the ash has combined with the subsoil. Having said that, with all plants the roots will strike out in the direction where they can be best nourished. 5. How long can the Bios Urn sit on the shelf before it breaks down? The Bios Urn has an abundant shelf life if it is not exposed to moisture. Store in a dry place. 6. Can I put the Bios Urn into a pot plant? Yes, as long as the plant size is suitable so it does not out-grow the pot 7. Why do you recommend a seedling over a seed? Australian native seeds are tricky to grow, and very slow to grow. The idea of sourcing a seedling has multiple benefits. a) the user has a very wide selection of plant type, which makes this a more personalised process. b) the seedling will be hardened to the local climate, so it will be ready to grow in a similar location c) the time taken to select the desired seedling can help with the grieving / celebration process. 8. What if my plant dies? Sadly, every natural thing has a finite time on this planet. A replacement can be planted in situ with due care and respect. 9. Why must a retailer buy 12 urns as a minimum? We want to protect our retailers, and need to be able to distinguish those that are industry related, from those in the general public that are seeking to buy at a lower cost by grouping in 3 s or 4 s etc. No expiration date. Full seed comptibility. 100% biodegradable.

FAQ 10. What about the Bios Incube that I saw on line? The Incube was developed as a kick-starter project with a finite production run. We want to see any possible bugs ironed out and what the take-up rate is in Europe, before we test the Australian market. 11. Where should I get my seedling? From a garden centre near to where you plan to use the Bios Urn, so the plant is acclimatised to the area 12. Is it legal? Yes, many local authorities welcome the planting of trees. If you plan to place the Bios Urn is a very public place, check with your local council first 13. Can I mix ashes in the one Bios Urn? Yes, the ash can sit in the Bios Urn, if kept dry, until other ashes are added, if desired. Then planted. Seed 14. Will the crematorium know what to do with it? Yes, they are familiar with the Bios Urn 15. Can I keep the ash in the Bios Urn until I decide where to plant it? Yes, just keep it dry. 16. Why wouldn t I just bury the ash in a hole and plant on top of it? If that is your preference by all means, but be aware that the ash will be too acidic by itself, for the plant to flourish.
