3 of 6 2/2/2017 1:09 PM Public Comment No. 3-NFPA 1026-2016 [ New Section after 5.1.1.1 ] NIMS Throughout this standard it references documents such as NIMS, NIMS is strictly a US based program and has no jurisdiction outside the US. I propose the term NIMS be removed from the body of the document and we refer to just ICS or IMS. TC can place some discription in Annex A as to what NIMS is. The term NIMS is a strictly US based term and a US based system. If this is going to be used on an international level we should remove the term NIMS and National Response System for the body of the Standard aand use generic terms such as ICS or IMS depending on their use in each section. Public Input No. 1-NFPA 1026-2015 [New Section after 1.1] Submitter Full Name: Douglas Goodings Organization: Missouri State Fire Marshal Submittal Date: Thu Sep 22 13:08:46 EDT 2016 Committee Resolution: Rejected but held The Technical Committee decided to reject and hold PC #3 includes reference that would require extensive review and the fact that this in second draft, the timing of this comment is not appropriate. Proposing additional Annex material without having annex material to review.
