COST COST, www.cost.eu, an intergovernmental framework for European Cooperation in Science and Technology. makes it possible for the various national facilities, institutes, universities and private industry to work jointly on a wide range of R&D activities. anticipates and complements the activities of the EU Framework Programmes increases the mobility of researchers across Europe.
COST COST actions bottom-up approaches to research and will facilitate, networking and other events. There are no funds for research as such but reimbursement for expenses in conjunction with flights and accommodation to COST meetings leads to excellent contacts and can also lead to preparation for future grant proposals eg as in FP
