The mounting plate allows the device to be compatible with a wide range of back box sizes. Settings for the strobe and horn are done using simple rotary switches at the back of the device. Synchronization is achieved without the use of additional modules; when powered with a filtered DC source, the strobe portion is capable of self-synchronization for 30 minutes as per NFPA 72 requirement. Three Candela options are available for the strobe when it works on 24 volts or full wave rectified power. High and low volume are options for the horn as well as continuous tone or temporal 3 output.
