FASTEST Under Construction Metro in India NMRCL Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (NMRCL), a joint venture company with equity participation from the Governments of India and Maharashtra, has been entrusted with the responsibility of constructing, operating & maintaining the Nagpur Metro project. The Nagpur Metro Rail Project comprises of two corridors, the North-South and East-West corridors, each running a distance of ~19 km. It has 36 stations with two depots, one at Mihan and the other at Higna. Once operational, the Metro is likely to provide connectivity across the entire city. The project envisages the concept of Transit Oriented Development in Nagpur city and attempts to link the place of employment to the place of living.
