Before first time use The following vegetables are suitable to use in the appliance: Potatoes Carrots Cucumbers Courgettes Cabbage Onions Celery Horseradish Beetroot Peppers Aubergines Apples Pears Please note: Make sure that all vegetables and fruit are not soft in consistency as this could cause the spirals to fall apart 3
Using the appliance 1. Place the appliance on a smooth surface and dampen the suction base. Press the base down firmly, and switch the suction switch from off to on. 2. Choose a blade and slide it into the guide. Press the blade down until it stops. 3. Place the extra blades that are not in use in the side draw of the appliance. To secure the vegetable in the spiral cutter cut a piece off to make a straight edge. Place the straight edge on the vegetable support as illustrated. 4. Hold the folding handle with one hand and the crank clockwise towards the blade as illustrated, so that the vegetable is cut into spirals, spaghetti or slices. Now fix the vegetables on the rounded steel guide of the blade insert. 4
Appliance components diagram Thick spiral blade: Use this to create noodles that are 6mm in width. Thin spiral blade: Use this to create noodles that are 3mm in width. Ribbon blade: Use this to create thicker cuts. To create circular noodles using any spiral blades, cut the vegetable you are spiralizing along the full length. Stop the cut when you re 10mm deep. To create curvy noodles, cut the vegetable alongside the full length on both sides. Stop the cut when you re 10mm deep. Recipes Skinny Pad Thai 1. Dry fry prawns in a frying pan until they are pink. 2. Spiralize the courgettes 200g King Prawns 1tbsp. fish sauce using the thin spiral blade 90g beansprouts 1 tsp tamarind paste to create noodles. 3. Add courgette, 2 large courgettes 1 egg, beaten beansprouts, egg, lime 2tsp light brown sugar 1 red chilli juice, fish sauce, sugar, 2 limes Spring onions tamarind in a bowl and mix well. 4. Toss together in the pan, then push them to one side and fry the egg on the other side. When the egg is just cooked, mix everything well and continue to cook until the beansprouts are done. 5. Garnish with a sprinkling of chopped chilli, peanuts and spring onions. 5
Goats Cheese and Watermelon Layer Salad 200g watermelon 100g baby spinach 50g goats cheese 50g quinoa 1 medium courgette Mixed seeds and pinenuts 1. Place the quinoa into a pan of water and cook as directed on the packet. Add chickpeas to the quinoa and cook together for 5 minutes. Remove from pan and allow to cool. Once cooled, add to the bottom of the jar 2. Place courgette into spiralizer and spiralize using the thin spiral blade. Place the courgetti into the jar. 3. Chop watermelon into chunks and add to jar. Follow with a layer of baby spinach. Crumble goats cheese onto the top of the salad and add a sprinkling of mixed seeds and pinenuts. Sausage Polpette with Butternut Squash Fettucine 5 Cumberland or herby sausages 1 Garlic clove 700ml passata Pinch of oregano 1 butternut squash Pinch of basil 1 carrot Spray oil 1. Remove the skins from the sausages and roll the meat into small balls. Spray oil into a pan and add the meatballs. Cook until browned then remove from the pan. 1 onion 2. Finely dice carrot, onion and garlic and add to the pan. Cook until they have softened and add the meatballs back to the pan. Pour in passata and add a sprinkling of oregano and basil and let it simmer. 3. Peel butternut squash and place onto the spiralizer - you may need to cut the squash, depending on size. 4. Using the ribbon blade, spiralize the butternut squash into long ribbons and place the ribbons onto a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper and place into the oven at 180 C. 6
5. Bake for 10 minutes until the squash is aldente. Do not overcook as it will become too soft. 6. Place the butternut into a bowl and spoon the sausage polpette over the top. Serve it with a sprinkling of crushed black pepper and fresh basil. Care and Cleaning Remove the blades insert from the spiral cutter and wash them in mild soapy water. Take extreme care while doing this as the blades are sharp. Alternatively you can clean the machine with a mild cleaning agent. The spiral-cutter is equipped with sharp blades, store them well away from children. Store the appliance in its original box if possible. Certain vegetables may stain the plastic of the appliance. If this happens, use baking soda to clean them. The removable parts are dishwasher safe. There is a lock on the handle of the appliance. When it is engaged, you can t slide it off the base. Simply unlock it, and you can slide it off the base for ease of cleaning. Returned products must be cleaned and returned to us in as close to delivery condition as possible.
