Important Information Panel Glide PUCKERING The Sewless style of panels will sometimes show very slight puckering of the fabric. This is unavoidable due to the tension placed on the fabric from the splining (tucking) process. To reduce puckering consider using the Plantation/Villa styles instead of the Sewless style. SETTLING OUT On initial installation the Sewless style of panels may appear short in their drop. However over a short period of time the fabric will settle & sit at the correct drop. Translucent fabrics are more likely to settle more than block out fabrics. The process of settling out is a little unpredictable, the final drop of the blind may vary by up to 10mm.

Important Information Panel Glide CUPPING Panel Glides made from Blockout fabrics will usually show some cupping on each of the vertical edges. Cupping is a characteristic & a few millimetres will be considered within acceptable allowance Sewless & Plantation panels fitted with horizontal battens will cup less than plain panels. Long & narrow panels will be more prone to cupping PATTERN MATCH If you order a Panel Glides made with a patterned fabric, please note that the grain of the pattern may not be perfectly horizontal or perfectly vertical. Panels may exhibit up to a few centimetres of variation in the direction of the pattern from one side of the blind to the other. Sometimes the pattern may also give the impression that it is out of square at the points where the fabric rolls into the extrusion pockets.

Important Information Panel Glide OVERALL MEASUREMENTS It will be assumed that all the provided widths are factory make sizes, unless specified clearly STANDARD TOLLERANCE +/- 5mm is our standard manufacturing tolerance for widths and drops. We cannot accept claims for blinds made less than +/- 5mm outside the ordered make sizes. CARE & CLEANING Dust can be easily brushed off at regular intervals using a soft cloth, feather duster or a vacuum cleaner with brush attachment. Spot marks may be removed by lightly using a soft gum eraser

Important Information Panel Glide WAND OPERATION The wand should be operated directly under the track in a motion following the direction of the track to avoid unlocking of the track sliders. Operating the wand using a pulling action at 45 deg or at a horizontal position will result in unlocking of the track sliders & the panels The client should be instructed on the correct operation of the wand stick. Warranty claims will not be accepted for incorrect wand operation.

Measuring Guidelines The Importance of Accurate Information 67% of errors at the quotation stage Mis-measured 27% of errors at the order entry stage Know how your product fits Measure, write down & check measure Write clearly 0, 6 or 9?, 1, 4 or 7 Write any additional instructions

Measuring Guidelines Guidelines to Help Determine the Number of Panels 1. Measure the width and drop of the opening for the panel glide blind. 2. Determine No. of panels you require. Recommended panel width is 450 to 900mm 3. Determine an approximate width of the panel, divide the blind width by number of panels 4. The factory will calculate the precise panel width to include the overlaps & make appropriate reductions for the product type & fixing position 5. Very important to show client & gain approval where the panels sit on the window and how much of the glass area they will cover when opened. This factor may influence how many panels you decide on, as increasing the number of panels will decrease the panel width & increase glass area when opened. 6. When there is more than one blind in the same room area, it is advised to keep the panel widths (rather than the number of panels) as similar as possible to maintain a consistency in product appearance.

Measure neat drop at 3 points Measuring Guidelines Inside Mount for Blind Fitting Inside the Widow Reveal The factory will calculate the precise panel width to include the overlaps. The factory will make the standard deductions for the product type It is industry standard for blinds fitting into the window reveal to sit flush with the front of the reveal. Architrave FACTORY STANDARD DEDUCTIONS PANEL GLIDE BLINDS INSIDE MOUNT WIDTH DEDUCTION INSIDE MOUNT DROP DEDUCTION 4mm 12mm Check that the reveal is deep enough for the track to fit. Depth required will vary with different track size Measure neat width at 3 points WIDTH - Measure neat internal size of reveal Measure at 3 width points - Top, Middle & Bottom USE THE SHORTEST DIMENSION DROP - Measure neat internal size of reveal Measure at 3 width points - Left, Middle & Right USE THE SHORTEST DIMENSION Note: Advise your client if the window reveal is out of square as this can cause irregular light down sides of blind and/or across base of blind. Check there are no protruding handles / locks etc. to interfere with the blind Use a small step ladder to reach the top of high windows

Architrave Measure drop at 3 points Measuring Guidelines Outside Mount for Blind Fitting onto Architrave Note; ensure that there is no furnishings etc. sitting under the window that will obstruct the sliding operation of the panels Use a small step ladder to reach the top of high windows FACTORY STANDARD DEDUCTIONS PANEL GLIDE BLINDS OUTSIDE MOUNT WIDTH DEDUCTION OUTSIDE MOUNT DROP DEDUCTION 0mm 15mm WIDTH - Measure outside edge of architrave to outside edge of opposite architrave Measure at 3 width points - Top, Middle & Bottom USE THE WIDEST DIMENSION ADD a minimum of 100mm to OVERALL WIDTH to ensure no architrave is visible down the sides of the blind Measure width at 3 points Check there are no protruding handles / locks etc. to interfere with the blind DROP If going to the floor measure top of architrave to floor Measure at 3 drop points - Left, Middle & Right USE THE SHORTEST DIMENSION Advise client if the drop height varies across the area as this will result in an irregular light gap along base of blind. If going to the base of a window, measure from top of architrave to the base of lower architrave. Add minimum of 70mm to drop to provide better light & sun block

Measuring Guidelines Outside Mount for Blind Fitting onto Wall Measure 70mm above opening drop or to top of first brick Measure 150mm past each side of opening width WIDTH Measure minimum of 150mm past each side of window opening. Add 2 x 150 to opening width. Measure 100mm below opening drop or to floor Note; Face fit panels can be extended past the window opening to have panels sitting in front of wall & not obstructing the window area. This is achieved by increasing the width of the panel glide to extend past the window on one side or if centre opening, to extend past on both sides. Check for any obstructions e.g. light fittings DROP If fitting blind into plaster or concrete measure minimum of 70mm above window opening to a minimum of 100mm below window opening or the floor If fitting a blind into brick measure from top of first brick to a minimum of 100mm below window opening or to the floor
