Impact, molo and rosso x presented by GrapeDesign
We believe physical environments affect human behaviour Interior design should always take its cue from the behaviour an organisation aspires to embrace. Among other elements, employee creativity and productivity also inform this approach. Many mechanisms affect human behaviour and may favourably be employed in the design of the physical environment. When designing space and solutions, GrapeDesign divide these elements into the subcategories: design, acoustics, colours, materials, shapes, light, sound and even scent. This way, our three brands Impact, molo and rosso x embrace people on their own terms. Impact by GrapeDesign Even the smallest elements influence perception of any space, and thusly, human behaviour. That is the foremost reason why GrapeDesign develop and offer solutions that drive human experience and behaviour. Our solutions may always be recognised by their simplicity, soft shapes and the persistent choice of organic materials. And we re branding our product line Impact because they have an impact and make a difference. Impact random wallcover Impact random wallcover contains every single aspect that characterises what Impact is all about; namely soft curves, organic materials, pleasing colours and fine acoustics in one appealing package. The Impact random wall cover is made from 25 mm thick acoustic cork panels and water-carved cork blocks. The curvy blocks maximise acoustic diffusion and the decorative effect arising from the casting of long shadows when hit by spotlight from above in a steep angle. soft by molo softwall + softblock molo is an independent design, production/ manufacturing, and distribution studio led by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen. soft collection is a research driven exploration of materials, fabrication techniques, structure, and space making. softwall + softblock is a modular system of flexible space partitions. Elements available in various heights, colours and materials are connectable by concealed magnets; making it possible to create endless lengths of walls, or stack and link blocks to shape entire environments. The larger family of product ideas and explorations connected to softwall + softblock were conceived from the desire for flexible, spontaneous space making. The system provides the ability to temporarily reinvent a space by using expandable partitions, seating, tables, and lighting, shaping more intimate ephemeral areas within a larger open area. Elements are simply collapsed to revert once again to the larger room when needed. Designers Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen Opening softwall + softblock is a playful, engaging experience. The honeycomb geometry expands to create a freestanding structure that is hundreds of times larger than its compressed form. The system s flexibility is pragmatic for compact portability, and spontaneous reshaping of living and working environments. Any softwall or softblock element can expand to a maximum of 4.5 meters, or to shorter lengths to suit particular occasions. The elements compress for storage, and a stainless steel wall hook is provided for hanging softwall. Recognized for elegant innovation, softwall + softblock is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen molo softwalls in white Tyvek
molo cloud lamps cloud creates an undulating canopy of soft, luminous forms. Construct vast cloudscapes by grouping cloud pendants or mobiles to create sculptural shape within a space. The honeycomb structures are internally lit by LED, making the three-dimensional forms mysteriously radiant when viewed from any direction. The three sizes of cloud mobile may be hung in any configuration, tailored to the individual space they are shaping. Alternately, individual pendants in five sizes can be suspended on their own. molo softwall + softblock modular system designed by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen molo cloud softlight mobile
molo urchin softlight urchin invites playful interaction. Using flexible honeycomb geometry, urchin expands and morphs into myriad shapes as you manipulate it with your hands. Its elastic movement and shifting form are akin to that of a sea creature. Made from the same translucent white textile material as cloud softlight and textile softwall + softblock, these pieces complement each other to create fluid, sculptural environments. molo urchin softlight reuses the shades from molo cloud softlight small, medium and large. molo cloud softlight at KEA in Copenhagen molo urchin softlight available in three sizes
molo softseating molo softseating compresses like a book for storage, and fans open into cylindrical stools or low tables. Alternatively, it can stretch and connect magnetically to form long, winding benches. paper softseating was acquired by the MoMA for their permanent collection in 2006. molo fanning lounger in white Tyvek molo fanning stools in brown kraftpaper (also available in black kraftpaper)
rossox acoustic We live in a world which is strongly aligned to communication.reverberant rooms in modern buildings, large open-plan spaces and a proliferation of office technology are placing an increasingly heavy burden on human sensitivity to sound and noise. In the area of interior architecture, primary consideration is normally given to furnishings, colours and lighting. But interior acoustics is also an important component. It is central for architects, interior architects and planners. An acoustically pleasing environment is known to have positive effects on personal well-being and productivity in rooms where people live, work, hear and communicate for many hours every day. Creating an acoustically optimum environment Creative room acoustics needs to be applied to the challenge involved in exploring and making appropriate use of the leeway for designing rooms with acoustic elements. The aim is to acoustically structure the room and create an acoustically optimum environment corresponding to the purpose for which the room in question is used. rossox CP30 clear acoustic panel rossox CP30 / TP30 individual and team binders
rosso x acoustic PADs and nimbus Modul Q and Modul R LED lamps combined in harmonie Careful light and acoustics planning in an office is essential for the wellbeing of its users. Nimbus LED luminaires together with the innovative Rossoacoustic PAD wall and ceiling system provide top-quality LED lighting combined with a high degree of acoustic comfort. Exacting re- quirements such as reduction of the noise level, improvement of speech intelligibility and optimal glarefree lighting are met with a unique quality of design. Comfort at the workplace is thus improved enormously, above all in modern open- space offices. rosso x PAD Modul R Basic α w = 0,85 rosso x PAD Modul R Plus α w = 1,00 With its soft patterned surface indentations, the corner radii and the tapering of the edges, the design of the Rossoacoustic PADs invokes some design elements of the Nimbus LED luminaires. The edge lengths and diameters of the Rossoacoustic PADs also perfectly match their corresponding lighting counterparts, the Nimbus Modul Q and Modul R LED luminaires. rosso x acoustic PAD Modul R wall hung rosso x acoustic PAD colours inspired by nature
