Foreword QC/T 413-1999 Basic technical requirements for automotive electric equipment was a professional standard ZBT 35001-1987 before its standard number was conversed. Therefore, this revision is actually a significant change to the standard after 15 years. This revision was based on the main references to relevant standards of Japan, Germany, France and other countries. This Standard replaces QC/T 413-1999 Basic technical requirements for automotive electric equipment. Compared with QC/T 413-1999, the main modifications in this Standard are as follows: - deleted the provisions applicable to the hot and humid products as well as 3.25 and 3.26 of Edition 1999; - deleted the mould growth test (4.16 of Edition 1999); - deleted the spark level on the motor commutator (3.17, 4.10 of Edition 1999); - deleted the interchangeability test (3.22, 4.14 of Edition 1999); - adjusted and modified the product temperature range; specified the upper and lower operating temperature and storage temperature range (3.3 of Edition 1999; 3.1.3 of this Edition); - modified the provisions on nominal voltage; deleted the 6V electrical system; added the provision on working voltage range (3.9 of Edition 1999; 3.1.4 of this Edition); - in the provision on the basic performance parameters of the product, added technical requirements for low voltage wire harness and mechanical fasteners (3.10 of Edition 1999, 3.2 of this Edition); - modified the recommended grade of short-term quota working hours; deleted 0.2 min; added 5 s, 15 s (3.8.2 of Edition 1999; 3.1, 7.3 of this Edition); - partially modified the temperature limit of the relevant parts of the product (3.18, 4.11 of Edition 1999; 3.3, 3.4.3 of this Edition); - added the provision on the noise test method (see 4.4 of this Edition); www.chinesestandard.net Page 3 of 25

Basic technical requirements for automotive electric equipment 1 Scope This Standard specifies the technical requirements, test method, inspection rules, marks, packaging, storage and preservation of automotive electric equipment. This Standard is applicable to automotive electric equipment (motor, electrical and electronic products, hereinafter referred to as the product). 2 Normative references The following standards contain the provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute the provisions of this Standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard. 3.3.3 The temperature rise limit of other products or other parts of the products mentioned above shall be specified in the product standard. 3.3.4 After the product returns to normal temperature after the temperature rise test, its performances shall comply with the provisions of 3.2.2. 3.4 Noise level When required for the noise level of the product, it shall be specified in the product standard. 3.5 Over-speed performance of rotating electrical product The rotary electrical products should have the over-speed ability to withstand 1.2 times the maximum working speed (for the motors, according to no-load speed). The product of continuous quota work system lasts 2 min. The product of short-term quota work system lasts 20 s. After the test, the product should be no damage; performances should be consistent with the provisions of 3.2.2 and 3.2.4. 3.6 Protective performance 3.6.1 General The product shall be generally indicated with the protection level representing its protective performance. The protection levels shall respectively comply with the provisions of GB/T 4942.1 and GB/T 4942.2. Special requirements for the product shall be specified in the product standard. 3.6.2 Anti-foreign matter performance The product s anti-foreign matter performance should be specified in the product standard. The recommended levels of protection by this Standard are IP2X, IP3X and IP5X. The installation details and test status of the product shall be specified in the product standard. The qualification assessment of product s anti-foreign matter test shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 4942.1 and GB/T 4942.2. 3.6.3 Waterproof performance 3.6.3.1 The product installed under engine cover or the exposed product should adopt the protection level of IPX4 and shall be subjected to the splash-proof test. 3.6.3.2 The product installed in the cab, crew compartment and luggage compartment should adopt the protection level of IPX3 and shall be subjected to the waterproof test. www.chinesestandard.net Page 10 of 25

electromagnetic immunity may not be specified. 3.9.2 Electromagnetic disturbance The electromagnetic disturbance of product shall be in accordance with relevant provisions of GB 18655. 3.9.3 Other When user has requirements for electromagnetic compatibility different from the contents mentioned above, it shall be specified by the product standard. 3.10 Temperature resistance 3.10.1 Low temperature resistance The product shall be subjected to the 8-hour low temperature test at the lower shelf temperature specified in Table 1. After the product is restored to normal temperature, its performance should meet the requirements of 3.2.2. 3.10.2 High temperature resistance The product shall be subjected to the 8-hour high temperature test at the upper shelf temperature specified in Table 1. After the product is restored to normal temperature, its performance should meet the requirements of 3.2.2. 3.10.3 Resistance to temperature change The product shall be subjected to the temperature change test in accordance with the requirements of test Na in GB/T 2423.22. The low and high temperature values during the test are the lower and upper operating temperatures in Table 1. The exposure time in each temperature depends on the heat capacity of the test sample (i.e., the temperature of the test sample is stabilized), shall be specified by the product standard, 1 h or 2 h is recommended; the temperature conversion time is 20 s ~ 30 s; the number of cycles is 5. Products are generally tested in non-working conditions. When the product standard requires, the test product can be at running state. After the test, the product shall still comply with the provisions of 3.2.2. The initial inspection, recovery and final inspection items of the product shall be specified in the product standard. 3.11 Temperature resistance, temperature cycle change resistance The product shall be subjected to 10 cycles of temperature / humidity combined cycle test at -10 C ~ 65 C specified by GB/T 2423.34. Each cycle is 24 h. The change in temperature and humidity in each cycle is shown in Figure 1. Low temperature section does not work. The product shall be subjected to the industrial solvent test. The type of solvent, temperature and dip duration should be specified by the product standard. It is recommended to use more than 3 of brake fluid, antifreeze, engine oil, engine fuel (diesel or gasoline), indoor cleaning agent and glass cleaning agent and other solvents. The product shall be tested under non-working state. The recovery conditions and the determination requirements after the test shall be specified in the product standard. 3.15 Surface protection performance 3.15.1 Coating layer and chemical treatment layer The coating layer and chemical treatment layer of the product s metal parts shall be in accordance with the provisions of QC/T 625. 3.15.2 Paint layer 3.15.2.1 Paint layer appearance: the outer paint layer should be uniform, no bubbles, no blank, no accumulation or overflow phenomenon. 3.15.2.2 Adhesion of paint layer: the product paint layer should be firmly bonded to the surface of the cover; after the grid method test, the layer should not fall off. 3.15.2.3 Paint layer temperature resistance: after the paint layer of the product is subjected to the high temperature test specified in 3.10 of this standard, it shall have no shrinkage or de-layer. 3.15.2.4 Corrosion resistance of paint layer: the product paint layer is not allowed to have rust after subjected to 48 h salt spray test. 3.15.3 Other The product s cooperation part, component s joint part affecting conductive magnetization, part surface and contact rivet after grinding and friction are allowed to have no cover layer. 3.16 Durability The product s durability shall be specified in the product standard. 4 Test method 4.1 General test conditions 4.1.1 Test documentation The test documentation shall be in accordance with the provision of 3.1.1. www.chinesestandard.net Page 15 of 25

Special provisions on test method shall be listed in the product standard. 4.5 Over-speed test In the working voltage range, carry out the test under normal working conditions. Special requirements should be specified in the product standard. 4.6 Protective performance test 4.6.1 Anti-foreign matter test: motor and electrical products shall be respectively in accordance with the provisions of corresponding test methods in GB/T 4942.1 and GB/T 4942.2. 4.6.2 Water test: motor and electrical products shall be respectively in accordance with the provisions of IPX3 or IPX4 test method in GB/T 4942.1 and GB/T 4942.2. It is recommended to use swing method. However, the bend radius of shower and splash test equipment shall be modified from Rmax = 1000 mm to Rmax = 400 mm, and the middle spacing of the two adjacent nozzles shall be 50 mm in uniform. For the waterproof test, the nozzles are distributed within each 60 arc of both sides of center point in swing tube. For the anti-splash test, the nozzles should be distributed within 180 semicircle in swing tube. 4.7 Resistance to abnormal voltage test 4.7.1 Reverse polarity test of power supply Use the product as normal load wiring. In the non-working state, when the input power supply voltage is the reverse voltage, it shall reverse the polarity of its power for 1 min. 4.7.2 Overvoltage test It shall be carried out according to the provisions of product standard. 4.8 Insulation voltage resistance test www.chinesestandard.net Page 18 of 25

shall be specified in the product standard. 4.10.3 Temperature change test Carry out the test according to the provisions on corresponding test method of test Na in GB/T 2423.22. 4.11 Temperature / humidity combined cycle test Refer to test Z/AD in GB/T 2423.34; carry out the test according to relevant provisions of temperature / humidity combined cycle test method. 4.12 Vibration test Carry out the test according to the provisions of GB/T 2423.10. Fix the product on the vibration test stand and in the normal installation position; carry out the test in the non-working state. At the same time, it should install and fix the hoses, connectors, or other accessories which are connected to the product. 4.13 Salt spray test Carry out the test according to test Ka in GB/T 2423.17: provisions of salt spray test method. 4.14 Industrial solvent test Carry out the test according to the provisions of the product standard. 4.15 Surface protection test 4.15.1 Coating layer and chemical treatment layer inspections The metal coating layer and chemical treatment layer shall be inspected according to the method specified by QC/T 625. 4.15.2 Inspection of paint layer 4.15.2.1 Appearance inspection of paint layer The appearance quality of the paint layer is checked by the naked eye. 4.15.2.2 Paint layer adhesion test Use the grid method directly on surface paint layer of fully dried parts or model (10 cm 15 cm) to perform the examination on three samples, i.e., use a blade to scratch four strokes vertically and horizontally, each spacing of 1 mm, to form nine squares. - general inspection level: II; - qualified quality level: AQL 0.40 ~ AQL 4.0; - sampling program: once normal inspection sampling program The specific sampling program, acceptance items, defect classification, qualified quality level can be negotiated by both parties, which shall be specified in the product standard. 5.5 Type inspection 5.5.1 Type inspection shall be performed in one of the following situations: - trial model identification for new product or old product produced in transferred plant; - significant changes in structure, material, technique after official production which may affect product performances; - not less than once of every two years of batch or mass production of products; - production resumed after discontinued production of more than one year; - significant difference between exit-factory inspection results and previous type inspection results; - required by national quality supervision organization. 5.5.2 Sampling and grouping 5.5.2.1 Number of samples The products for type inspection shall be extracted from same batch of products qualified in the exit-factory inspection. The number must not be less than 12. 5.5.2.2 Sample grouping First, the re-inspection shall be carried out according to the exit-factory inspection items. After the re-inspection is qualified, divide the product equally into 4 groups. The test shall be carried out according to the following grouping and item sequence. - Group 1: noise test, temperature rise test, electromagnetic compatibility test, insulation voltage resistance test, anti-foreign matter test, salt spray test www.chinesestandard.net Page 22 of 25

users. 6.1.1.2 The nameplate of the product shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 13306 (except special circumstances). 6.1.2 Packaging mark The basic content of packaging mark includes: a) product marking related to shipping: product name and trademark, product model, specifications, applicable models or models; b) manufacturer s name, detailed address, postal code and telephone number; c) date of production (or number) or production batch; d) executive product standard (national standard, industrial standard, local standard or filed enterprise standard) number; e) packaging and storage marks (in accordance with relevant provisions of GB 191); f) text of the transport operation: dimensions of packaging box (length width height); the number of products per case; total mass of each box; g) quality level mark; h) other marks: for example, safety certification eligibility mark, electromagnetic compatibility certification mark, quality certification mark, etc. In the above items, g) and h) may not be marked according to situations of the product; other items should be marked. 6.2 Packaging 6.2.1 The product packaging should consider: - moisture-proof, anti-vibration and dust-proof requirements; - relevant requirements for adaptable transport and loading-uploading; - the ferrous metal parts of the product before packaging that are free of protective layer of co-location should have temporary rust protection measures. 6.2.2 Packaging box www.chinesestandard.net Page 24 of 25
