The valve is designed to control the mixed water outlet temperature to within +/- 2 o c regardless of fluctuations in the temperature and pressure of the hot and cold water supplies, and to shut the mixed water outlet instantly in case of hot or cold water failure*. It incorporates a unique purpose-built adjuster key so that standard tools cannot be used by unauthorised persons to change the set outlet temperature. *Supply conditions must remain within limits stated. Temperature Readout This handheld temperature readout device is designed to be used with TMV3 mixing valves for reading water temperature. The probe can be plugged in to the TMV3 valve and then removed after the temperature has been verified. Features include: Supplied with 2in1 connection fittings incorporating a single check valve to prevent cross flow, and disc type strainers, fitted upstream of the check valves, to prevent the valve becoming contaminated. A "dummy" valve blanking set is available (part no. HTEE 219 001) to be fitted in place of the valve body to enable the installer to flush out the system prior to commissioning. Supplied with 4in1 service fittings featuring an isolating ball valve, large surface area strainer, single check valve for crossflow protection, and a gauge/flushing port for checking system conditions or for connection of a flushing hose (part no. FLSE 100 001) to remove system debris prior to commissioning the mixing valve. The T&P valve prevents the stored water from exceeding 100 C in the event of the failure of the other safety devices. The PR valve is supplied as standard with Europrisma 10 and 15 litre models and protects from over pressurising.
