BEY LEA GOLF COURSE BAY-FRIENDLY GOLF COURSE CERTIFICATION The Bay-Friendly Golf Course Certification Program is open to golf courses, public parks and lands and businesses grounds in the Barnegat Bay watershed and beyond. The certification contains three recognition levels: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The certification process provides an opportunity for golf courses or other large maintained or disturbed land areas to reduce non-point source pollution going into Barnegat Bay and other waterways by implementing environmentally friendly land management practices. Environmentally Sensitive Area Entering this area is prohibited

BEY LEA GOLF COURSE GOLD STANDARD CERTIFICATION 130 +/- Acre Site 25 Acres No Mow Naturalized Areas Native Plant Buffers around Water Features Fertilizer Applications and Turf Maintenance based on Turf Demands Located on 130 acres in Toms River Township, Bey Lea Golf Course is a former farm that was developed into a golf course in 1969 through a grant from the New Jersey Green Acres Program. The Township of Toms River, which owns and operates the course, is dedicated to providing its residents with a great golfing experience for reasonable rates while being good stewards of the Barnegat Bay.
