Usable Capacity through Tall-Over-Tall Design. Extra Tall Tub All Profile dishwashers use the Extra Tall Tub that is 15% larger than GE s standard tub. These tub interiors are both taller and wider than the standard tub. In addition, the tubs are shallower so they can be installed flush in standard cabinets designed to optimize tub dimensions and provide more space in the same place as traditional tubs. QuietPower V on Stainless Models Bitumen Tub Wrap In addition to a QuietPower Motor, sealed toekick, tub flange gaskets, ActiveVent II and Thinstall insulation, Profile Stainless dishwashers are even quieter with a Bitumen Tub Wrap. Bitumen is a combination of asphalt and rubber, that is heat-bonded to all sides of the stainless steel tub. This heat-bonded application reduces vibration in the tub and is one of the best sound deadening materials used not only in dishwashers but in cars, roofing and flooring materials. There is over 11 square feet of bitumen used in these Profile Stainless Steel dishwashers. This bitumen is 50% thicker than the mastic found on Permatuf models and weighs over 17 pounds ten pounds more than traditional mastic. Bitumen is heat bonded at 215 F to most sections of the tub. Other areas use adhesive. Bitumen is applied to: the top and sides of the tub, the rear to reduce wash noise when the dishwasher is installed in an island or peninsula, the bottom to reduce wash arm noise transfer, and the inner door. ExtraClean System Six-level Action Upper wash arm Middle wash arm Lower wash arm In all Profile dishwashers, three direct feed wash arms combine to reach every spot on every dish. This six-level wash system provides a water flow of twenty-three gallons per minute over the dish load. The lower wash arm provides wash action to the lower rack and also sprays water from the bottom to clean the filtration system. Water is sprayed through seven huge holes in the lower wash arm The middle wash arm provides spray to the lower rack and upper rack. Water for the middle wash arm is transported through a direct feed conduit running from the lower wash mechanism. The docking station behind the upper rack provides water flow to the middle wash arm. 5 4 6 The upper wash arm, driven the same way with a conduit running from the rear interior of the tub to the upper spray arm, provides wash action to the dish load directly below and to the outer perimeter of the upper rack. This very efficient system is designed to not waste water while providing great wash performance. 3 1 2 ExtraClean Sensor The ExtraClean Sensor is located in the sump area where soil levels can be evaluated effectively. By using a tiny laser, the sensor continually measures turbidity (soil levels) and water temperature. It then determines how long the cycle should be, controls the water temperature, and adjusts the number of water fills. Each cycle is different, based on the unique soil level for the particular dish load. The ExtraClean Sensor combines with the complete Electronic Control System to use less water while promoting better wash performance. Profile Dishwasher Demo Kit (Pub. No. 5-GPF80) For Models: PDW8200, 8400, 8500 and 8600 Series Purpose of the Kit This kit provides the ability to demonstrate quiet performance (noise demo mode) and electronic control operation (demo activity) on the sales floor. Use the drain loop plug to plug the dishwasher drain hose. Add six quarts of water to the tub. Plug in the power cord. To Enter the Noise Demo Mode: Press the NORMAL WASH and ADDED HEAT button simultaneously for seven seconds. When the controller recognizes Noise Demo Mode, the NORMAL WASH and ADDED HEAT LEDs blink once. Press the START button to begin the noise demo. The time remaining display will show a 10 second countdown of 999, 888, 777,555,444, 333,222, and 111 to dramatize when the circulation pump is turned on. The noise demo mode will circulate and spray water for 20 seconds. Demo Activity During the demonstration, the selection LEDs will turn right to left for three seconds each and display the time remaining on display panel. After the initial noise demonstration the unit can be cycled through to another demonstration again by pressing the START button.
