HEC CAMPUS RESIDENTIAL HOUSING FORM 2017 Summer School Programs The Residence Office is delighted to welcome you as an HEC Paris summer school student. We hope you will enjoy your summer stay with us! If you have chosen to reside on campus with us, know that housing will be provided during the time that you participate as a Summer School student (housing cannot be granted prior to or beyond this period). See below (p. 2) for Arrival and Check-in Information. ACCOMMODATION Individual Room - 1 person The average size of a room is 16 square meters. Each individual room has the following characteristics: The principal room includes a bunk beds with complete bedding, a bedside table, desk, chair and wardrobe. The private bathroom includes a shower and toilet. Certain rooms have modest kitchenettes. These are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Common Facilities (for all accommodation) Internet access available. Wi-Fi in all buildings. Bed linen and towel set are provided in the room. These will be changed in between intakes. Washing machines and tumble dryers are available in Buildings D, L1, M1 and in Buildings AP1 to AP4. Campus security The HEC Campus has a Security Control Room open 24/7. It can be contacted at 01.39.67.70.01. Do not hesitate to contact them for any problems of safety, security and genuine technical emergencies.
Arrival and Check-In Plan to arrive and check-in at the Residence the Monday your program start. The Residence Office will be open between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm to welcome you. Exceptionally and by specific request (by e-mail to summerschool@hec.fr and serviceresidence@hec.fr ) room keys can be made available at the HEC Campus Security Control Room if you are unable to arrive between the allocated hours. Note: In the case that you are attending consecutive programs, no check-out in between programs is expected. Departure Residence Office Hours Monday to Friday: 8:30AM 5:30 PM For any requests, please contact Residence Office by dialing +331.39.67.71.38 or +331.39.67.71.39. Your key must be returned to the Residence Office the day of departure or at the latest on the Saturday of your program close before 10 am. After 10 am, you will be charged an additional fee of 30. Damages In the case of any damage to the room or a key loss during the program, you are expected to declare it immediately to the Residence Office. In the case of a key loss, you will be charged a 150 replacement fee. IMPORTANT: In case of non-payment of any amount due, the Summer Program Certificate and academic transcript will not be delivered. In case of the loss of keys upon departure, you must advise the Residence Office by e-mail serviceresidence@hec.fr. Check-out will be made by e-mail. The 150 cost of replacement will be charged. Housing conditions RIGHT OF OCCUPANCY Residents have a strictly right of occupancy. It is prohibited to sublet, lend lodge or otherwise accommodate anyone else in their accommodation for any period time. The right of occupancy allows the Residence Manager or his/her representative to enter the resident s accommodation at any time to check that it is being used correctly. Residents will be notified in advance of any such visits, which may take place whether the resident is present or not. INSURANCE In case of room damages, the student public liability insurance will ensure coverage. HYGIENE AND SAFETY Cooking is prohibited in residential buildings (lodgings, corridors and any adjoining premises) except in apartments equipped with a dedicated area and cooking areas in AP buildings. Animals are prohibited in all residences at all times. Residents undertake to manage waste in accordance with the selective waste sorting procedure in force on the Campus. Residents must dispose of waste regularly in the containers provided for this purpose outside the residence buildings. Residents must be familiar with the safety procedures displayed in each room.
Smoking is prohibited in all residences. The consumption of alcohol is prohibited on landings and in common areas. No objects or liquids may be thrown from balconies or windows. It is imperative to lock your accommodation each time you leave, for however long. HEC shall not be held responsible in any way for any theft from residences. For reasons of safety, gas and heating appliances are prohibited in residences, as well as any appliances likely to compromise the safety of persons or goods. Similarly, it is forbidden to use multiple sockets or too many electric appliances at the same time. It is prohibited to store flammable or dangerous products. Illegal substances, defensive or offensive objects, including weapons of the 6th category, are prohibited in all residences. TECHNICAL INTERVENTIONS A website dedicated to our residents has been put in place for the requests of technical interventions of the rooms. If you observe a technical problem in your room requiring the help of a technician, you must carry out an intervention application on the site: www.assistec.hec.edu Residents must facilitate access by service personnel for maintenance or safety procedures in the residences. If any accommodation is inaccessible, particularly because of disorder, the Service in question reserves the right not to conduct the required intervention. EVERYDAY LIFE Parties and other festive events are prohibited in residence buildings. Residents and visitors may not compromise or otherwise disturb the peace of the other occupants of the building at any time. It is prohibited to make any noise or disturbance of any kind likely to disturb the peace of the other occupants. The Security Service may be called at any time to put a stop to any disturbance. Students must present ID papers when required to do so by a security agent. CLAIMS In order to be considered, any contestations or claims must be made in writing and addressed to the Service de la Résidence via the address serviceresidence@hec.fr or facturationresidence@hec.fr.
