2 Technical description Safety Vacuum Cleaner, dust class H pursuant EN 60335 in 2 designs, as 230 Volt or 400 Volt Unit. The industrial vacuum cleaner described in this manual is suitable for the intended use for vacuuming dry, non-combustible dusts. The filters collected dust via three filter stages. The suctioned dust is transported to the dust bag / dust container via cyclone unit. Finer particles are held back by subsequent compact filter elements. These filters are regenerative, i.e. the filters are cleaned automatically during the operation. Finally a HEPA-filter of class H comes to effect. Cyclone regenerative filter HEPA-filter 2.1 Functionality Filter system 2.1.1 Regenerative Filter stage (self-cleaning filter stage) The captured fine dust accumulated on the surface of the compact filter and forms the Filter cake (layer). An automatically working cleaning system takes care of the cleaning of the filter during operation. The Filter cake is shot from the inside to the outside by a blow-off valve. The extracted dust is collected in a dust container. 2.1.2 HEPA-Filter stage (dust collecting filter stage) Gathering of suspended matter, which was unable to be captured by the regenerative Filter stage. 4 Initial operation Do not operate the unit, if it is visibly damaged or if there are problems with the initial operation. In that case please contact deconta GmbH immediately. 4.1 Set-up The placing of the Vacuum cleaner must be firm, level and must be able to support the weight of the unit. 4.2 Establish connections ATTENTION! The main plug may not yet be inserted into the power outlet. The ASPIMAX is equipped with compact filters and a HEPA-filter. Before the unit is ready for use, the following components must be installed: 1) Waste bags: Press stopping button, loosen central locking gear and unhinge the support bracket. Both Waste containers can now be pulled out from under the Vacuum cleaner. Insert waste bags und pull over the tank edge. Put downholder in the Waste container of 2nd Filter stage. Then push both containers under the unit and lock with Central locking gear. Make sure the support bracket snaps into place. Central locking gear Stopping button Support bracket Seite 7

Then connect optional accesssories, depending on intended use. 3) Load pusher at the Suction hose connection: In suction operation open the load pusher. Seite 8

4.3 Suction operation 7 5 2 4 1 3 6 1 Suction operation During suction operation the compact filter is cleaned simultaneously. 2 Signal lamp Vacuum flow The signal lamp flashes in case the suction speed falls below 20 m/s in the suction hose. 3 Offline-Cleaning Offline-cleaning is used when the automatic cleaning cannot stand up to the suction material. In this operating mode the cleaning takes place without suction operation. To avoid uncontrolled dust discharge, the slider at the suction connection and the clamping of the dust container must be closed during the Offline-Cleaning. 4 Overtemperature At inadmissible operating temperature inside the housing (over 60 C) the Vacuum cleaner shuts automatically down. The signal lamp flashes. Overtemperature occurs when hoses are clogged or the suction nozzle is closed. 5 Main filter full The unit shuts automatically down once the main filter is so clogged with dust that it has to be exchanged. The signal lamp flashes. Seite 9

6 Selector switch Display It is standard that the different operating pressures and the temperature are indicated in the display. D = Pressure in the tank for cleaning the compact filter R = Pressure loss of compact filter A = Pressure loss of HEPA-filter G = Total pressure loss T = Temperature inside the unit After pressing the selector switch, the current consumption and the operating time are indicated. F1 to F2 = Power consumption of two single turbines ( / 230) F1 to F3 = Power consumption of three single turbines ( / 400) tk = Operating time of built-in compressor for filter cleaning (in minutes) tf = Operating time of turbines (in minutes) 7 Power connection (only with / 400) Lamp on: Power connection OK Lamp off: Phase or phase-neutral missing. 5 Filter control / Filter change For a visual check-up of the filters, there are LED-lighted inspection windows on the covers of the regenerative and HEPA- filter stage. Cover HEPA- filter stage Cover regenerative filter stage 5.1 Regenerative Filter stage (self-cleaning filter stage) The life cycle of the filter depends on the following factors: Operating hours Type of dust Dust concentration 5.2 Filter change regenerative filter stage Attention: Contaminated filter are to be changed in compliance with all relevant safety precautions Filter change only when unit is switched off Use approved filters only Do not use fibre binding agent on the device Seite 11

5.3 HEPA- Filter stage (dust storing filter stage) The life cycle of the filter depends on the following factors: Operating hours Type of dust Dust concentration Quality / State of regenerative Filter stage With increasing clogging of the filter, the air flow rate decreases. Important: Use approved, faultless filters only! 5.4 Filter change HEPA-filter stage (dust storing filter stage) Attention: Contaminated filter are to be changed in compliance with all relevant safety precautions Filter change only when unit is switched off Use approved filters only Do not use fibre binding agent on the device HEPA-filter Clamping bar Fixing screws Remove HEPA-filter: Loosen screws of cover and remove cover Loosen fixing screws from clamping bars and remove clamping bars Remove filter and dispose properly Seite 13

Insert HEPA-filter: Check and clean the sealing surfaces on the unit Insert new filter Install clamping bar Screw on lid Important: Handle with care, damages to the filters can remove effectiveness of the filtration. For protection purposes against mechanical damages, the filter delivered by deconta is provided with a handle protection. 6.1 Before each use 6 Maintenance and Checks To check all Safety installations seal suction hose. The signal lamp should be flashing right away. 6.2 During use Attention to the indicators Approx. every 30 sec there is an acoustic signal noticable due to the pressure shock 6.2.1 Offline-Cleaning Offline-cleaning is used when the automatic cleaning cannot stand up to the suction material. In this operating mode the cleaning takes place without suction operation. Procedure: Turn switch on Offline-Cleaning. The regenerative filters are cleaned approx. every 30. Depending on the degree of pollution and the type of dust, have it cleaned every 0,5 to 3 hours! To avoid uncontrolled dust discharge, the slider at the suction connection and the clamping of the dust container must be closed during the Offline-Cleaning. 6.3 Annual check The air technology systems (dust collectors, industrial vacuum cleaners and equipment, which are used for ventilation or pressurisation) are to be tested at least once a year by the deconta service.
