What is Paxton10? Paxton10 delivers out of the box access control, ip video management and building automation. It interfaces with existing building infrastructure to control lighting, heating, air conditioning, intruder and fire alarms. The system comprises a web-based user interface for easy building management and a selection of discreet hardware. Paxton10 is a fully integrated building intelligence system providing security, convenience and energy efficiency. How does it work? The architecture of the Paxton10 system has been designed with simplicity at its core. Paxton10 offers integrated functionality straight out of the box. Paxton10 uses inputs, like detecting a person or change in environment, to intelligently and automatically adjust security features and appliances for convenience and energy efficiency. This includes aspects such as integrated access control and video management, control of devices such as heating and lighting, integration with fire and intruder alarms and identification of users through smart devices. The system is straightforward to set up and provides a scalable and resilient solution for a range of sites. Paxton10 hardware Paxton10 Server The Paxton10 Server offers powerful and future-proof technology in an ultra-small footprint, making it suitable for a variety of installations. Automatic system back-up and flexible system restore in the event of drive failure Paxton simplicity throughout no software install required Cross platform compatibility (PC/Mac/Linux) via Google Chrome 32GB USB back-up for added peace of mind No configuration required, simply browse to the weblink on the unit Paxton10 Controller The Paxton10 Controller is the building block of the Paxton10 system, distributed around a building to control appliances. 100 Paxton10 Controllers can be connected per Paxton10 Server. All Paxton10 Controllers can simultaneously record footage from two IP cameras while also controlling two doors. PoE powered. Paxton10 hardware Paxton10 readers Paxton10 Reader The Paxton10 Readers have been designed to simultaneously support a number of market leading token types. This provides a huge advantage for retrofit opportunities at sites, allowing them to use existing tokens. Paxton10 VR Reader The Vandal Resistant Paxton10 Reader is rated to IK09 and supports the same read technology as the standard reader. The vandal resistant reader facilitates installation in the most demanding and rugged environments. Features Multi-format reading technology offering compatibility with Paxton, MIFARE, HID Prox, EM, FeliCa and NFC* Simple 3 part modular construction with separate electronic snap-in module for quick and easy first and second fix installation Built-in Bluetooth wireless technology, allowing the use of smart devices Crisp and clear audio with polyphonic sound Simple 4 wire installation Uses Belden 8723 cable Externally rated, IP55 Paxton10 Smartpoint The Paxton10 Smartpoint identifies users on the Paxton10 system using Bluetooth wireless technology. The unit is woken by touch and once a user is identified, the system can take actions such as granting access or controlling appliances specific to that user. For use with smart devices in conjunction with the dedicated Paxton10 app Battery powered, it offers a 10 year battery life Completely wireless design for incredibly simple installation Touch sensor for waking the device avoids false wakeups and preserves battery life Allows for issuing of virtual credentials, for total convenience Externally rated, IP55 6 *Nfc refers to nfc enabled cards and tokens and currently does not include the use of smartphones
Paxton10 hardware Paxton10 connectors The Paxton10 connectors exhibit the simplicity that Paxton customers have grown to expect; they are clearly labelled and easy to wire, minimising installation time. Paxton10 Door Connector The Paxton10 Door Connector provides the interface to link all devices to control a door. Its modular design makes Paxton10 an easily scalable system. Detachable terminals for quick and hassle free maintenance Corresponding housing for 1 or 2 connectors and IDC termination Each connector supports 1 door and up to 4 readers Powered lock output and 2 4A bistable relay outputs Optional connector housing available, allowing the hosting of 2 connectors Paxton10 I/O Connector The Paxton10 I/O Connector controls mains devices within a building, based on pre-defined criteria. When used in combination with triggers and actions within the Paxton10 software the I/O connector can control devices such as lighting, air conditioning or heating. Control of a building s energy consumption 5 Digital inputs which are monitored through the software 4 Output relays capable of switching mains powered circuits of up to 16A Works in combination with Paxton10 triggers and actions to give flexible control to appliances Optional connector housing available, allowing the hosting of 2 connectors Paxton10 Alarm Connector The Paxton10 alarm interface is a miniature I/O connector that allows fire and intruder alarms to connect to a Paxton10 system. Discreet, the board is small and can fit inside a Paxton10 connector housing or within the alarm panel it is integrated with.
