AUDIOPHILE SPEAKERS D E S I G N E D F O R D I G I T A L S O U N D At Rodgers Instruments, we are proud to have led the industry in organ speaker technology since the company was founded in 1958. The superb sound of Rodgers Audiophile Speakers stems from our pioneering work in Stereo Digital Signal Processing, Parallel Digital Imaging (PDI ) and Dimensional Sound Modeling (DSM). These technologies lift Rodgers to a level of its own above other electronic instruments because Rodgers sound truly emulates the tone, speech characteristics and dimensional presence of a fine pipe organ. As a member of Roland - a world leader in music technology innovation - Rodgers is unique among organ companies in its ability to invest in advanced technology. The result is Rodgers acknowledged design leadership and worldwide reputation for excellence. Our in-house audio design professionals created Rodgers Audiophile Speakers to deliver the crystal clear quality of organ and orchestral voices. Because these speakers are engineered to work with Rodgers advanced DSP technology, they provide exceptional depth and dimension of sound. Audiophile Speakers offer incredible linearity of frequency response throughout the 16 Hz to 25 khz range. This linearity, along with superior spatial imaging and dispersion, surpasses the performance of many premium professional studio speakers. Rodgers Audiophile Speakers include: Subwoofers that add bottom presence and weight to pedal stops. Two- and three-way speaker systems for full-range reproduction, and compact satellite/ subwoofer systems. These speakers are all designed with the finest woofers, self-contained mid-ranges, and wide dispersion dome tweeters in the industry. High efficiency horn-loaded, tuned port enclosure speakers designed primarily for use with reed voices such as the Festival Trumpet and Tuba.

SPEAKERCOMPONENTS MEDIUM DENSITY FIBERBOARD (MDF) CABINETRY Crafted with state of the art woodworking technology, our Audiophile Speaker enclosures are precision cut and machined to exacting tolerances (within 5/1000 of an inch). Dado, V-groove and slot joinery are used throughout to provide strong, airtight, vibration-free assemblies. The enclosures are made from a dense, pressure-formed, non-resonating material called MDF that reduces cabinet panel resonance and tonal coloration. In addition, special adhesives and internal bracing enhance mechanical integrity and strength. RODGERS CROSSOVER ASSEMBLIES Unlike many generic off-the-shelf crossovers, our speaker crossover networks were engineered and optimized for use with the woofers, midranges, tweeters and cabinets designed for our Audiophile Speakers. Rodgers Audiophile Speaker crossover networks are the finest in the industry. Hand-assembled and tested, they utilize stable, long-lasting, low distortion polypropylene capacitors, low-loss custom-wound air-core inductors, and UL94.V-Ø fiberglass circuit boards. GOLD-PLATED 5-WAY BINDING POSTS We use professional audio goldplated 5-way binding posts for solid, trouble free cable connections. Why gold-plated? Corrosion of connectors can cause speakers to malfunction. Gold-plated terminals and connectors alleviate this problem. Connections with gold surfaces are superior to connectors with other surfaces for two reasons. First, gold is extremely inert, meaning it will not corrode or oxidize unless exposed to harsh chemicals or vapors. Second, gold is soft. If a gold-plated connector is squeezed between two metal surfaces, it will form to fill any void, providing a broad, solid contact area. Reliability and longevity that s why gold-plated 5-way binding posts are standard on all Rodgers Audiophile Speakers. These precise construction methods, coupled with acoustically advanced materials, enable our speaker enclosures to handle high stress and power levels without giving way to the mechanically induced distortion and coloration typical of lower quality home stereo speakers. ORGANS WITH SELF-CONTAINED AUDIO SYSTEMS Rodgers builds a line of instruments with a console contained speaker system. Like our Audiophile Speakers, these self-contained systems are the finest in the industry. Rodgers consoles employ a technology called bi-amplification. This unique system uses active crossover circuitry ahead of the amplifier section, which allows us to apply a higher wattage amplifier to the central subwoofer. A separate stereo amplifier handles the mid-range and high frequency information. This enables the speakers to work more efficiently to produce remarkably true sound, since each driver amplifies only the frequencies for which it was designed. This also reduces intermodulation distortion, or IMD. Many other systems use speakers with a single stereo amplifier with passive crossover networks between the low and high frequency drivers, which cannot equal the quality of Rodgers sound. In addition, unlike some manufacturers that use speakers attached to the console kneeboard, our console-contained speaker systems are fully enclosed, just like our Audiophile Speakers. This enhances the performance of the audio components. With this tuned speaker system, you get the same quality as our Audiophile Speakers. Careful selection of speaker driver components combined with added audio power results in exceptional fidelity and clarity.
AUDIOPHILE AMPLIFIERS D E S I G N E D F O R D Y N A M I C P O W E R As important as quality high fidelity speakers are the amplifiers that drive them. Rodgers Audiophile Amplifiers are engineered to perfectly complement our full line of Audiophile Speakers. S-800 AMPLIFIER We design our amplifiers to meet the demands of institutional use; they re built to last. We utilize large heat sinks and state-ofthe-art components to assure excellent performance, even in areas of extreme temperature. At the core of our Audiophile Amplifier technology is the Amplifier Integrated Circuit (IC). This Thick Film Hybrid IC offers advantages over discrete component assemblies: Devices inside the Hybrid are ultrasonically bonded to the substrate, eliminating the need for additional solder connections. The greatly reduced number of connections increases performance reliability. Components inside the Hybrid are mounted on a substrate that has high thermal conductivity. Temperature variations as the amplifier operates are precisely controlled, achieving low distortion whether operating at low volume or full power. Almost as important as the amplifier itself is the amplifier power supply. Our Audiophile Amplifiers provide exceptional reserve power capacity, referred to as Dynamic Headroom. Many amplifiers can produce more than their rated power output on brief, transient music signals lasting a fraction of a second. With the Dynamic Headroom of our Audiophile Amplifiers, we have the short-term ability to deliver speaker power far in excess of rated output without clipping or distortion. This is critical to accommodate high musical peaks. INTERIOR S-800 S-200 AMPLIFIER Rodgers Audiophile Amplifiers also employ a unique Dynamic Power Allocation design. It s a system calculated to provide maximum power efficiency to supply true sound and a lifetime of service. Simply put, Rodgers brings superb sound and product quality together in perfect harmony.
