Beach House Instructions and Item Locations HOME ACCESS / LOCKS The front and side yard keypad activated locks are coded with your own private combination; it will be the same number for both. The front entry door only requires the access number entered to open it. The side lock needs the * after. At night, press any button first, this lights the number buttons for keypad entry. Front Door Lock Operation: The front door inside latch can be confusing as it may change position or clocking (6 o clock or 9 o clock). It does not always have the same set lock position, caused by excess turning (please be gentle with it). It is set as locked by a half turn to the right, or as unlocked with a half turn to the left. The picture below shows the normally unlocked position. When locking the door, (because of the electronic latch) check the lock status by opening the door and pressing down on the outer handle to verify that the latch does not move, confirming the lock is engaged. Note: When closing the front door, it may need to be shut firmly (but gently) to latch it completely. Front door lock control. Turn right to lock. Verify lock mode from outside handle. Side Door Lock control Side Door Lock Operation: Enter access number followed by the star * key to open the deadbolt, then push down on the latch. If you are leaving, the deadbolt does not engage automatically, press any key after closing the door and it will lock. Please, always verify that the side-door deadbolt is not extended out when closing the door, it can damage the lock.
