Everything you require from a building facility support company. Professional - Reliable - Experienced
As principal contractor or subcontractor we welcome both tendered projects and individual requests for quoted works from small jobs up to projects in the region of 500,000. Our Contract Managers are skilled in dealing with local authority planning regulations, fire officer requirements and coordinating suppliers and materials. In other words managing the whole project for you from start to finish - whether it's a dilapidation schedule, external repairs and redecorations or an internal refurbishment. We understand that health and safety knowledge and awareness is paramount and we regularly update our health and safety policy as guidelines and legal requirements change. We carry out project works in all sorts of buildings - including Home Office premises, town halls, schools, pubs, churches and prestigious apartment blocks. Our project clients range through property companies, managing agents, government bodies, breweries and local authorities. We aim to provide the same level of good communication and service to all. 1. HARWICH CUSTODY SUITE PROJECTS DIVISION RECENT PROJECTS Under our Amey service agreement we began the refurbishment and remodelling of the Harwich custody suite in March 2014. This tender was awarded to us not only because of our competitive pricing but also due to our large number of CTC cleared engineers. The custody suite is used to detain those infringing the law whilst trying to enter the UK through the Port of Harwich. As you can see from the photographs prior to the refurbishment the suite was very antiquated and did not meet current legislation. We wrote a specification for this job inline with a report provided to the Home Office by their external consultants. The area was remodelled in order to provide 2 cells, a medical room, a shower area, an interview room, a holding room and an office. In the early stages of the works asbestos was discovered, work on site was subsequently stopped and we were asked to bring in our specialist asbestos contractors. Upon making the area safe works continued and ran to a tight programme in order to get the suite reopened. Once the remodelling works were complete a full refurbishment was carried out from secure metal ceilings, decorating and flooring. Page 2
Specialist products such as cell doors and cell benches were purchased then fitted by a nominated supplier. The overall outcome of the job was one of a very high standard, the Harwich custody suite is now the model for future custody suite refurbishments, something we are very proud of. 2. SIG - WORTHING Sutton Projects have a strong relationship with SIG and have carried out a number of projects over the years. The projects usually involve dilapidation refurbishment works and this is what was required at their warehouse units in Worthing. SIG had previously amalgamated both units, however before they could go on the market separation works were required. Upon separating the units and altering the electrics redecoration works were carried out to get the units in a saleable state. External remedial repairs were then carried out, the replacement of metal cladding panels for example. We completed the job within a tight programme and achieved exactly what SIG required in order to put the units on the market. Page 3
3. KENSINGTON TOWN HALL Through our Amey London Borough s service agreement our tender submission for the refurbishment of the council chamber disabled toilets was successful and works began in May 2014. Due to the high profile of the council chamber we had to work around different functions and be completed in time for a major event four weeks from the start of the project. In order to gain conformity around the Kensington town hall facilities a specification was provided to us and followed closely. The disabled toilets were fitted with high end products and the overall outcome was impressive. 4. WEMBLEY B2 CLUB WEMBLEY RECEPTION In December 2012 Sutton Projects were awarded the task of refurbishing the B2 Club Wembley reception. This entrance to the stadium is used by a number of high profile guests, some of which have meetings and events, whilst others use the entrance to get to hospitality suites and private boxes. Prior to starting the project we were given a 3D visual of how the directors wanted the reception to look, we didn't receive any detailed specification or drawings, as a result the project went from a designing stage all the way through to the construction. Whilst refurbishing the area almost all our tradesman were utilised, from carpenters to dry liners to decorators to floorers. Being the principal contractor we worked alongside Wembley's specialist electricians and fire detection engineers to ensure every aspect of the job was completed. After our 6 week programme came to an end an opening ceremony held, attended by special guests, directors and general staff. We received much appraisal for the works completed and were awarded a number of other jobs on the back of our success. Page 4
