CAUTION When there is more thn one leving wter zone, you must ALWAYS instll mixing vlve sttion in the min zone to derese (in heting)/inrese (in ooling) the leving wter temperture when the dditionl zone hs demnd. Typil exmple: Room (zone) Het emitters: Design temperture Living room (min zone) Under floor heting: 35 C Bed rooms (dditionl zone) Het pump onvetors: 45 C Setup d e A B D E A Additionl leving wter temperture zone B Room C Room D Min leving wter temperture zone E Room 3 User interfe Control ox Bkup heter (option) d Pressure-regulting vlve e Mixing vlve sttion f Remote ontroller of the het pump onvetors A pressure regulting vlve should e implemented efore the mixing vlve sttion. This is to gurntee the orret wter flow lne etween the min leving wter temperture zone nd the dditionl leving wter temperture zone in reltion to the required pity of oth wter temperture zones. For the min zone: A mixing vlve sttion is instlled efore the under floor heting. The room temperture is ontrolled y the user interfe, whih is used s room thermostt. f C f Dikin is NOT responsile for the opertion of the mixing vlve sttion pump. It is the responsiility of the instller to gurntee pump opertion. For the dditionl zone: The het pump onvetors re diretly onneted to the outdoor unit or to the kup heter, if there is one. The desired room temperture is set vi the remote ontroller of the het pump onvetors for eh room. The heting or ooling demnd signls of eh het pump onvetor re onneted in prllel to the digitl input on ontrol ox EKCB07CAV3 (XM/ nd XM/). The outdoor unit will only supply the desired dditionl leving wter temperture when there is n tul demnd. The min user interfe (onneted to ontrol ox EKCB07CAV3) deides the spe opertion mode. Mind tht the opertion mode of eh het pump onvetor remote ontroller must e set to mth tht of the min user interfe. Vlue (RT ontrol): Unit opertion is deided sed on the mient temperture of the user interfe. Note: Min room = user interfe used s room thermostt funtionlity Other rooms = externl room thermostt funtionlity ( LWT zones): Min + dditionl (Thermo ON/OFF): When the used externl room thermostt or het pump onvetor n only send thermo ON/OFF ondition. No seprtion etween heting or ooling demnd. If the min zone must e shut off during ooling mode to prevent ondenstion on the floor, set it ordingly. Set the desired min leving wter temperture for heting nd/or ooling. The smrt room thermostt funtionlity n derese or inrese the desired leving wter temperture sed on the tul room temperture (modultion). The omintion of the two het emitter systems provides the exellent heting omfort of the under floor heting, nd the exellent ooling omfort of the het pump onvetors. Effiieny. Depending on the demnd, the outdoor unit supplies different leving wter temperture mthing the design temperture of the different het emitters. Under floor heting hs the est performne with Altherm LT. 5 Applition guidelines 5.3 Setting up n uxiliry het soure for spe heting Spe heting n e done y: The outdoor unit An uxiliry oiler (field supply) onneted to the system When the room thermostt requests heting, the outdoor unit or the uxiliry oiler strts operting depending on the outdoor temperture (sttus of the hngeover to externl het soure). When the permission is given to the uxiliry oiler, the spe heting y the outdoor unit is turned OFF. Bivlent opertion is only possile for spe heting, NOT for domesti hot wter prodution. Domesti hot wter is lwys produed y the DHW tnk onneted to the outdoor unit. Setup For ivlent opertion to e possile, the system requires ontrol ox EKCB07CAV3. During heting opertion of the het pump, the het pump opertes to hieve the desired temperture set vi the user interfe. When wetherdependent opertion is tive, the wter temperture is determined utomtilly depending on the outdoor temperture. During heting opertion of the uxiliry oiler, the uxiliry oiler opertes to hieve the desired wter temperture set vi the uxiliry oiler ontroller. Dikin is NOT responsile for inorret or unsfe situtions in the uxiliry oiler system. Mke sure the return wter to the het pump does NOT exeed 55 C. To do so: Set the desired wter temperture vi the uxiliry oiler ontroller to mximum 55 C. Instll n qustt vlve in the return wter flow of the het pump. Set the qustt vlve to lose ove 55 C nd to open elow 55 C. Instll non-return vlves. Mke sure to only hve one expnsion vessel in the wter iruit. An expnsion vessel is lredy pre-mounted in the outdoor unit. Instll ontrol ox EKCB07CAV3 nd option ox EKCB07CAV3. Connet X8M/3 nd X8M/4 (hngeover to externl het soure) on option ox EKCB07CAV3 to the uxiliry oiler thermostt. To setup the het emitters, see "5. Setting up the spe heting/ ooling system" on pge. Configurtion Vi the user interfe (quik wizrd): Set the use of ivlent system s externl het soure. Set the ivlent temperture nd hysteresis. Mke sure the ivlent hysteresis hs enough differentil to prevent frequent hngeover etween outdoor unit nd uxiliry oiler. Beuse the outdoor temperture is mesured y the outdoor unit ir thermistor, instll the outdoor unit in the shdow so tht it is NOT influened or turned ON/OFF y diret sunlight.
