EXTERION MEDIA 48 SHEET & ROUNDEL PANELS LONDON UNDERGROUND Challenge: Create a cross track advertising display system to replace the traditional wet posting methods that were proving costly and inefficient. Solution: A revolutionary self-adhesive poster display system with a new and unique curved frame that was flexible to varying radii of tunnels. Result: A system that allowed posters to be peeled off and replaced simply, eliminating poster build up and making removal and disposal straightforward and cost effective.

THE PERFUME SHOP STORE RE-DESIGN Challenge: The Perfume Shop required a new look for its retail outlets that supported their open sell strategy, the purpose of which to make products more accessible to the shopper. Solution: A new look store, with products traditionally located behind the counter now located into the perimeter of the store for self selection and purchase. Video screens and a plush seating area for shoppers to discuss and sample products also compliment the design. Results: The first new look store was installed at Westfield Stratford, with further stores imminent.
THE BEAUTY STUDIO BY SUPERDRUG Challenge: Create a new store format that provides a seamless flow between products on sale and the services on offer a totally new approach to affordable beauty. Solution: A bright, fresh and accessible new format including new cosmetic displays from which shoppers would take products such as nail polish to the nail technician in-store for application. Result: Due to the success of the Beauty Studio format, Superdrug are now rolling out selected elements across their estate
SUPERDRUG STORE RE-DESIGN Challenge: Work alongside agency Dalziel and Pow, to implement a flagship store for Superdrug. Reposition them as an accessible,yet credible,health and beauty brand. Solution: A Fresh, new look store with an element of Fashion, including new zones for Make up, Pharmacy, Fragrance and Skincare Results: Elements of design were value-engineered and implemented across another 200 plus stores, individual displays also won 3 POPAI awards. POPAI Awards - A gold for Playtable, plus silver for display of the year; with A frame and overall store receiving silver.
SUPERDRUG FRAGRANCE Challenge: Create a distinct fragrance zone as part of the store re-invention. Solution: Created a premium feel for the fragrance area, allowing high end brand names to attract customers with illuminated header signage, and an A frame fragrance unit for consumers to browse the top 5 brands on offer. Results: A significant number of these elements have now rolled out across the Superdrug Estate
SUPERDRUG PHARMACY Challenge: As part of the store re-invention Superdrug required a distinct Pharmacy area Solution: A Pharmacy zone was created including a new consultation room offering customer privacy, colour coded shelving and surrounds. Result: Clear pharmacy identification for the customer, and improved service offering.
MUSTO CLOTHING DISPLAY Challenge: Create a shop in shop space for Musto within 3 rd party retailers. Solution: This design one of many solutions provided was modular in nature for the varying spaces allocated in retail outlets. It included low level units with space for folded items, and hanging space. Whilst the wall bays created real impact by having 2 tiers of hanging space. Results: The displays created a true shop in shop feel within the retailers, giving this high end brand a distinctive space to display it s products.
Challenge: Create a retail outlet for Teletext Holidays as a shop in shop within the larger Tesco Extra stores, requiring fast ROI to fund more stores. Solution: A branded store using plasma screens and brochure displays to promote destinations. Customers can book online at kiosks or via the instore travel advisors. Result: The Teletext Store concept was very well- received by shoppers, who were able to shop for a holiday whilst out doing a grocery shop. DOVE SPA STORE RE-DESIGN Challenge: Redesign Dove Spa s Flagship Store, ensuring it communicates the essence of the brand. Solution: New retail store design that embraces the uplifting spirit and engaging personality of the brand. Predominant use of white, together with illumination. Result: Well- received by store staff. Elements of the design are rolling out to other stores in the Estate.
FILOFAX STORE RE-DESIGN Challenge: With the change in filofax's brand from traditional to lifestyle/fashion they needed a store that reflected this new image. Solution: The whole design needed to be more contemporary in both design and materials. Storage, reception, flooring, front of shop, doorway etc were all re-designed and replaced by arken. Result: The store has really brought the brand to life, the modern & contemporary design has exceeded our expectations and really brought our image up to date. arken managed the whole project brilliantly from start to finish, coming in on budget and to the agreed time schedule.
