Message from the Southeast Chapter Chair The Southeast Chapter held our April 19th meeting at Char Restaurant in Memphis. The meeting was well attended by 29 members and guests. Our speaker, Tanujakumari (Tanuja) Ramasubramaniam, came very well versed with extensive experience from various roles within Avon Products and Revlon. Her topic, Requirements for New Raw Materials to be used in the Cosmetic Industry was well researched and presented. The presentation provided a sound overview of the basic requirements to bring a new raw material into the cosmetic industry. In particular, examples presented did a fine job exhibiting regulatory strategies to note for key global markets. Warm thanks again go out to Tanuja for an excellent presentation and educating us on regulatory requirements for new raw materials! With that, I am very excited to announce our annual 2018 Supplier s Social Event on Thursday June 21st at The Fire Museum in Memphis. The Fire Museum is a venue that provides a very nice back drop of history in Fire Education. You will surely enjoy the many interactive presentations available during our social hour. We expect this to be a unique and exciting event I look forward to seeing everyone there, so RSVP early! Cubie Lamb, SCC Southeast Chapter Chair 3
