ISO/TC 211 N 31xx IS 2014-11 Resolution 546 Extension of target dates for project 19147, Geographic information Transfer nodes ISO/TC 211 instructs the secretariat to apply to the ISO Central Secretariat for an extension for project 19147, to the extended time frame of 48 months, with the following target dates: CD 2012-01 DIS 2013-03 FDIS 2014-03 IS 2014-09 Resolution 547 ISO/CD 19151 Geographic information Logical location identification scheme Noting the proposal from WG 10 in document N 3090, ISO/TC 211 resolves to delete the project. Resolution 548 Terminology spreadsheet ISO/TC 211 appreciates the work done by the Terminology Maintenance Group to include a symbols register and an abbreviations register in the terminology spreadsheet. ISO/TC 211 instructs the secretariat to send out a call for comments from the members as well as from the convenors and project leaders, regarding the format and content of the symbols and abbreviations registers, as published in document N 3098. Comments shall be provided by July 31, 2011. Resolution 549 Co-chair of the ISO/TC 211 / OGC Joint Advisory Group (JAG) ISO/TC 211 notes with regret Dr. Jinsoo You's resignation as the co-chair of the JAG and thanks him for his excellent work and his personal dedication to the work of the JAG. ISO/TC 211 instructs the secretariat to issue a call immediately to the P-members for nomination of a new co-chair. Resolution 550 Liaison ISO/TC 211 appreciates and values the contact it has with the liaison organizations, and the large contributions many of these organizations bring into the work of ISO/TC 211. ISO/TC 211 notes that some of the liaisons appear to be inactive, and that each liaison shall be reviewed at least once a year or at every meeting according to the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 1, 1.17.1. ISO/TC 211 instructs the secretariat to notify the liaison organizations about this, and inform them that a report to ISO/TC 211 should be sent at least once a year, to inform the committee about the liaison organization's activities related to ISO/TC 211, and of their objectives for continuous liaison with the committee. Reports shall be submitted at least one month before a plenary meeting. Resolution 551 Updating the Terms of Reference for the Control body for the ISO geodetic registry network ISO/TC 211 endorses the updates of the Terms of reference proposed by the Control Body. ISO/TC 211 instructs the secretariat to send out the updated ToR to the members. 4

Resolution 552 Ad hoc group on linked data ISO/TC 211 N 31xx ISO/TC 211 appreciates the work done by the Ad hoc group on linked data. Noting the group's report to the plenary (refer the meeting summary), ISO/TC 211 request that the ad hoc group continue their work and report to the next plenary. Resolution 553 Management system standards ISO/TC 211 expresses their appreciation to the ad hoc group on management system standards and the convenor Mr. Christopher Body for their work and the report to the plenary. ISO/TC 211 resolves to disband the group. Noting the recommendations from the Ad hoc group, ISO/TC 211 accepts their recommendations and instructs the secretariat to send out an invitation to submit a stage 0 project. Resolution 554 Global Geospatial Information Management ISO/TC 211 supports the initiative from the UN Statistical Division to establish a committee of experts on global geospatial information management. Noting with thanks the invitation from the UN to present a paper on standards, ISO/TC 211 welcomes the offer of NB of South Africa of Dr. Serena Coetzee and yy to help the chair write the paper. 5
