Eco Active Hybrid Unit The Eco Active Hybrid unit is designed to provide ventilation in both summer and winter seasons. Ventilation is achieved using the naturally occurring forces of air movement, wind and buoyancy by creating a differential in pressure within the unit. The unit incorporates an ultra-low energy fan to assist (as and when required) in providing ventilation at all times and the unit is kept pressurised to ensure an efficient natural ventilation solution with the added benefit of heat recovery. Features Low noise operation Independently tested meeting BB93 Ensure both indoor air quality and temperature remain within D of E guidelines Low energy fans providing up to 100 l/s or 300 l/s Easy to use in room wall mounted controller Summer boost mode Night purge mode Compact size Available in a range of colours Duct work compatible Low maintenance
Design The hybrid ventilation units can be installed within high level ceiling voids or exposed within the room, the ceiling void units are supplied with spigots for ductwork connections. The unit uses air buoyancy with low energy fan assistance to deliver the supply of fresh air whilst mixing a controlled amount of extract air for heat recovery without the need for a heat exchanger. Low profile compact design Volumetric air flow control Silent, below 35dB noise rating Various colour options available

Winter Mode The temperature set point for the classrooms is typically 21 o C. The room sensor will detect this has been achieved and it will monitor the CO 2 level for indoor air quality. When the CO 2 levels rise above 1000ppm (adjustable), the ventilation system will begin to operate. Note The CO 2 levels proposed for ventilation are taken from the government guide BB101. The fresh air Damper will begin to open, at the same time the re-circ mixing damper will fully open to allow fresh air to enter the classroom. An air temperature sensor will monitor the supply air temperature ensuring the temperature remains above 17 o C If the CO 2 levels rise above 1200ppm, the ventilation fans will begin to run, delivering up to 4l/sec/person to each classroom. The air mixing damper will open to ensure the entering air temperature is above 17 o C. Summer Mode The temperature set point for the room is typically 21 o C (adjustable). When the ventilation fans will run to maintain this temperature. If, with full fresh air being 8l/sec/person, the room temperature rises to 24 o C (adjustable) supplementary cooling can be activated to reduce the room temperature to 22 o C. When the lower temperature has been achieved, the ventilation system will continue to run to maintain a space temperature below 24 o C.
Night Purge During hot summer months, night time cooling through ventilation only will be enabled. The ventilation fresh air dampers will open and the fan will run to reduce the space temperature to 18 C (adjustable). Optional External Combined intake discharge louvre This unique louvre offers both air intake and discharge within the same panel. The louvre can be installed with the blades vertical or in horizontal as air is discharged at 45 o avoiding short cutting and cross contamination of the incoming supply air. The rear bank of blades provides the louvre with additional water ingress protection. The louvre can be manufactured in flanged or recessed frame including a glazed in option for window frames.
Smart Control The smart room controller is an application configurable wall mounted controller with the ability to integrate into network devices that support BACnet MSTP or Wireless ZigBee mesh network technology. Wireless not available for this model Customisable Touch Screen The touch screen of the room controller offers a customizable user experience with selection of languages, temperature scales, buttons, and screen colours, it also supports the upload of an image or logo that becomes the default standby screen of the device. Custom messages can also be displayed on-screen using BACnet objects when the room controller is integrated via a BACnet MS/TP sys-tem. Optional Passive Infrared (PIR) All models can be equipped with a discrete optional passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor. With the embedded sensor, the room controller uses advanced occupancy routines to generate automatic energy savings during occupied and unoccupied periods without sacrificing occupant comfort.
