Air Handling Unit The focus in our day and age is not only on our Environment, but also on our Invironment ; where the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) helps prioritize the air safety standard of our living and working condition indoors. IAQ refers to the nature of air within an inhabited, enclosed space. In many large, commercial, and conditioned spaces the occupants have virtually no control over their environment; the space could be filled with dust, tobacco smoke, chemical vapor, pesticide sprays, fine carbon dust from copying machines, etc. and not even know about it. Due to the pollutants mentioned above, it has been observed that air in a conditioned area can be up to ten times more polluted than the air outside which may pose a great health risk due to its high level of concentration. Therefore, it is safe to conclude that the IAQ plays an important and major role in the health state of the conditioned spaces we work and live in. Elite Feature s: Beyond the Frame The main framework for the Star unit is undoubtedly the first piece of the puzzle. It is the skeletal body which holds the whole unit together housing within it the internal components. This skeletal frame is comprised of Extruded daluminum Profile. It is known for its anti corrosive quality and is the principal material found in the market today; with a promise to with stand the most excruciating weather and stand the test of time. Each of the aluminum frame sides are attached to each other by Reinforced ABS plastic to help hl avoid condensation at the corners.
Sandwich Paneling All panels are double skinned constructions which allow for easy inspection and maintenance thus help ping to reduce the risk of dirt and bacteria accumulation as well as a low risk of erosion of internal insulation material that might contaminate the air stream. Each of the panels is made up of an inner and outer layer skin with a thickness range of 50mm, 45mm or 25mm thick. The outer panels are 0.7mm thick of preprinted sheet while the inner a re 0.5mm of zinc coated sheet. The insu lation is comprised of fiber glass with a density of 40 kg/m 3 pro viding an overall k value of 0.68 w/m 2 k. The panels are also assembled with imported self drilling and self tapping screws which are fixed to the frame and easily removable. Optional: Injected insulation of polyurethane foam of 40 kg/m 3 density. Va arious panel sheets and insulation thickness can be offered upon request. Base Frame The base of the unit sections is made up of Sheet metal sec tions of 1.6mm thick GI bolted together with GI bolts to help assure the complete stability of the product as well as permit easy lifting, handling, and positioning on site. Gaskets and seal ing material are readily available with the sectional splits of each unit as well as connection clamps to adhere to quick and airtight site assembly. Fan Section All units are equipped with one fan of the hig hest certification which is thereby driven by a single motor. The fan itself is of Double Inlet Double Width (DIDW) with a forward centrifugal curve or backward centrifugal curve attached to anti vibration spring isolators that help isolate the fan wheels from the main structural body thus causing a static and dyna amic balance that minimizes vibrations and reduces noise pollution. The fan, simi lar to the main frame is also made of galvanized steel material. The centrifugal fan has flexible connections between the fan discharge and casing to reduce vibration transmission.
Ready, Steady, Motor and Drive The motor and drive package for each unit are individually hand selected to meet the highest performance standard. The motor is of the TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) model, class F insulation with IP The fan motor assembly will be 55 motor protection. installed on a separate base frame supported and isolated from the main unit structure by rubber mounts. For each of the components, the fan and the motor are assigned fixed pulleys to help transfer the motion. Optional: Variable Pitch Pulleys for Motor and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) Cooling Coils Manufactured from state of the art technology, the water cooling coils are made up of: Seamless copper with end plates made of die formed holes that provide a parallel surface to the coil tube for strong brazing joints. Standard 1/8 brass female pipe thread (FPT) vent and drain. Corrugated plate type fin that is die formed. Fin collars are full drawn to provide accurate control of fin spacing and maximum contact with tubes. Using 16 gauge minimum thickness material, 1 flanges are formed to permit easy stacking and mounting. All coil assemblies are leak tested under water at 315 psig air. Standard construction is suitable for up to 300F. Performance is certified under ARI Standard 410. Copper fins with Copper tubes or Copper tubes with aluminum fins with a Epoxy coating. Direct expansion cooling coil can be also available and be offered upon request. Option Run Around Coil Beside es the heat recovery application,. Run around coil is also an alternative solution to reduce dehumidification load on HVAC application Electric Heater Electric Heater used in dehumidification application. Drain Pan The condensate drain pan is mandatory in helping discharge the excess moisture (condensation) thatt results from the cooling process. With drain end connections on the front and back of the unit, the drain pan is constructed of GI and powder coated for corrosion resistance. It is also a wider drain pan structure with a deviated slope in a V shape thatt assures quick and complete water drainage thus avoiding microbiological and mildew growth. Optional: Stainless steel drain pan Air Control Devices In the AHU,the control dampers are used for air control and to help minimize pressure loss along with noise level. These mixing box dampers have contra rotating blades built of aerodynamic fins. These blades are driven by a polycarbonate gear mechanism and turnin opposed directions to provide a smoother operation. Filters In AHU, air filtration is of paramount importance as this system only ensures the best quality of IAQ. Therefore, choices of single and multi stage air filters are available to suit different environmental conditions. Filters are placed in galvanized frames for easier side removal and effortless maintenance. Manometer Plug Ports are provided to fix Manometers and check for final filter pressure drops, which indicate the need for filter maintenance or replacement. All filters offered are of reputed make and follow ASHRAE and Euro vent conventional standards.
