MOTORPUMP CONDENSATE RETURN UNTS THOROUGHLY DEPENDABLE-----..._--=E~T~RE~L~Y- SELF- CONTANED_~. Absolute reliability is insured by the use of the Cameron MOTOR PUMP. n addition, complete standby equipment may be secured by the use of dual units whose duplicate pumps and motors are equipped with individual sylphon-operated starters. Compactness in the pump itself, together with tank mounting, saves time and effort during installation. No special foundation is required. St rdv C s Strong, pressure-tested copper-bearing steel tanks or 30-gallon cast iron reservoirs are furnished. Short piping connections afford additional rigidity. v Conservative rating of these units gives each pump a large reserve capacity to handle abnormal condensation in starting up cold systems and to return the condensate against varying boiler pressures. r Units are available with either one or two pumps. Standard tanks are of 15-, 30-, and 60-gallon capacities for ratings up to 30,000 square feet of equivalent direct radiation. Tanks are proportionately larger on units of greater capacity. Quick shipment from the factory can be made on all standard units. ngersoll-rand's experience in supplying the many special units required for industrial and unusual condensate problems assures prompt delivery of these made-to-order units. MOTORPUMP
MOTORPUMP condensate re turn unit on 15-~allon receiver with RVF% MOTORPUMP. This unit will handle as high as 5,000 square feet of direct radiation discharging against a pressure of 25 pounds per square inch. MOTORPUMP condensate return unit equipped with an RV2 MOTORPUMP on a 30-gallon cast iron receiver. Such a unit will handle as high as 15,000 square feet of direct radiation against pressures up to 50 pounds per square inch. MOTORPUMP condensate return unit equipped with two 1 RV2 MOTORPUMPS on a 60-gallon rece iver. Duplication of the MOTORPUMP insures continued service and provides additional reserve capacity to meet extraordinary demands.
FQR.SPECA L SERVC E -----~-----..1 MOTORPUMP Condensate Return Unit with 150 gallon horizontal tank and using a 2RV-5 MO TORPUMP. MOTORPUMP Condensate Return Units for large capacities or unusual conditions can be furnished. Explosion-proof motors and special controls are often necessary for Condensate Return Units used in connection with industrial processes and where other conditions require such precautions. Tanks of 200 gallon capacity and larger can be supplied and special tank shapes and mountings can be furnished to meet unusual co nditions. Five units ready for shipment to a large chemical company for replacing steam traps. Each is equipped with an explosion-proof motor and Mercoid switch. These were shipped on a repeat order, following units sold previously to the same concern. PUMP
NSTALLATON RELABLE boiler feeding in lowpressure steam heating systems is assured by the use of the MOTORPUMP Condensate Return Unit. Since condensate piping commonly follows a basement wall or partition, it is usually desirable to place the unit close to a wall, or in a corner, where it occupies little room. The compact construction of the MOTORPUMP Condensate Unit permits an ideal installation under such conditions. A single pump Condensate Return Unit with the steam heating system of a hotel in New York City. This is the smallest standard size of unit, using a 1 5 gallon tank. This MOTORPUMP Condensate Return Unit has been placed close to the central station type air conditioning unit of a New York department store. The Condensate Return Unit functions in the usual way in conjunction with the steam boiler of the system. THESE units are more efficient than steam traps for returning condensate. This has led to a number of replacement installations that are saving their owners many dollars in heating costs. MOTORPUMP Condensate Return Units are easy to install. t is necessary only to set the unit in place, connect the piping (intake and discharge connections are standard fittings), and wire it to an electric supply.
- - --- -- - --- - - ~ SPECFCATONS When ordering the MOTORPUMP Condensate Return Unit give the following information: A. Total number of square feet of radiation and quantity of condensate in gallons per minute. B. Maximum and average operating pressure of boilers being served. C. Distance from center line of pump suction to water level in boiler; also size and length of discharge piping. D. Kind of current available. (1) direct current-show voltage. (2) alternating current-show voltage, phase and cycle. E. Specify single or dual pumping equipment. For Architects Furnish for location indicated on.......... plan, a size.... Cameron MOTORPUMP Condensate Return Unit for... square feet of direct radiation or with a capacity of.... g.p.m. against a maximum boiler pressure of.... lbs. plus pipe friction and static lift between the water level in receiver and the boiler. The " built-in" electric motor(s) to be... hp... volts (A.C.-D.C.)... cycles... phase, capable of giving continuous operation without overloading. The pump(s) shall consist of single-stage, single-suction, bronze-fitted centrifugal MOTORPUMP(S) with enclosed impeller. Motor rotor and pump impeller are to be mounted on a common shaft. The pump casing shall be a separate high-grade iron casting with integral discharge nozzle, the shaft to be made of heat-treated, open-hearth steel, and is to be of large diameter to insure rigidity. The impeller will be of single-suction, enclosed type, cast of bronze in one piece. The rotor shall be supported by two sets of large ball bearings. One set is to be designed to carry any thrust loads that may be developed. The receiver shall be provided with suitable pipe openings for return pipe, vent connections and gauge glass. t shall be furnished with pads for bolting the MOTORPUMP(S) directly on the receiver, thereby eliminating baseplate. The control shall consist of a float and enclosed float switch mounted on the side of the receiver with suitabie means of sealing to withstand a pressure of 20 pounds per square inch. t shall be adjusted to start the pump when receiver is full, and stop it when receiver has been emptied. - 0
