Standard external venetian blinds ProVisio external venetian blind NEW: ProVisio external venetian blind Glare control and visual privacy combined with the best possible view out A common trend in architectural projects is the incorporation of large glass surfaces into facade designs. They give residents an unobstructed view out and let lots of brightness into the rooms. These benefits do come at a price, however: A clear view out means that people outside can also see in. At the same time, unobstructed daylight can create glare and cause rooms to heat up quickly in summer. That is why WAREMA has developed a sun shading system which retains the positive aspects of large glass surfaces while minimising the negatives: the new ProVisio external venetian blind. The ProVisio external venetian blind can do more than its conventional counterparts. It not only guarantees protection against heat, glare control and visual privacy, but also combines these characteristics with the best possible view out. This increases comfort in four different ways at once: by providing a pleasant indoor climate, a comfortable level of brightness, a feeling of privacy and good visibility. 4
Standard external venetian blinds ProVisio external venetian blind Tailored to the human viewing angle The special feature of the ProVisio external venetian blind in comparison with standard external venetian blinds is the varying inclination of the slats, which changes continuously over the entire length of the blind. The changing inclination is based on the human viewing angle, ensuring that the eye always has the best possible view out through the slats from top to bottom. A conventional external venetian blind with horizontal slats only provides a clear view at eye level and at a restricted angle. Only around 55 percent of the view is unobstructed. With its continuously changing slat position, however, the ProVisio external venetian blind can improve the view out by 25 percent, leaving 80 percent of the view unobstructed while also ensuring visual privacy from the outside. The characteristics of a classic external venetian blind, meanwhile, are still retained, making the ProVisio external venetian blind equally suitable for use in the home, in office areas with computer workstations or in doctor s surgeries. NO DETAIL SPARED Integrated fall protection Nowadays, windows that extend down to the floor are an integral part of modern facade architecture. This makes it all the more important to have effective fall protection for windows. From April 2017, WAREMA will be offering an intelligent combined solution in the form of its sun shading system with integrated fall protection. This will make it possible to design the fall protection together with the external venetian blinds or roller shutters saving time and money. Widths of up to 2000 mm can be achieved. WAREMA s effective fall protection can be designed together with the external venetian blinds or roller shutters that go hand in hand with floor-level windows. It consists of a permanently integrated window pane, ensuring that the appearance of the floor-level windows is not impaired. At the same time, it prevents residents especially children from falling. The glass mounting is supplied by WAREMA together with the sun shading system and is integrated directly into the same guide rails. WAREMA provides the specialist dealers with the dimensions for the required glass along with the order confirmation, so the pane is guaranteed to fit and stay securely in place once installed. The integrated fall protection does not impair the functions of the external venetian blinds or roller shutters. They will lower down to the ground in front of the pane without any problems, providing optimum glare control and visual privacy as usual. The protection system is certified in accordance with the applicable standards and therefore has general technical approval. Different glass heights are specified depending on the height of the window above the ground. The system can be up to two metres wide. This innovation makes things much easier for WAREMA s specialist partners, as the system can be planned in the same way as the sun shading system. The integrated fall protection will be available from the second quarter of 2017. 6
Extremely robust and wind-stable Extreme wind forces are a major challenge when it comes to creating shading systems for large glass surfaces and facades. With a material thickness of 1 mm, the new E 80 AF premium slat provides extraordinary stability while also ensuring a particularly high-grade appearance. The new Premium slat effortlessly combines design with features intended to protect against squalls. The new E 80 AF premium slat from WAREMA remains stable even when exposed to strong winds. First-class wind stability now available From March 2017, the patented wind-stable external venetian blind from WAREMA will also be available as a venetian blind window system. This will cut the installation time by more than half and make adaptations for windows and ribbon windows much easier, so the system can even be used on single-family homes. A wind-stable model of the venetian blind window system from WAREMA will be available from March 2017. 7
CLOSED-CAVITY FACADES External venetian blinds between glass Closed-cavity facades place particular demands on sun shading systems. External venetian blinds integrated between the glass must be able to withstand temperatures from -5 to +95 and are exposed to extremely dry air with only around 3% relative humidity. WAREMA is the first manufacturer to have successfully developed a standard external venetian blind with perfectly coordinated materials for these conditions. The WAREMA external venetian blinds were tested according to the ift directive VE- 07/2 Glas mit integriertem Sonnenschutz (Glass with integrated sun shading system) for 20,000 load changes under the special, extreme conditions of closed-cavity facades. The external venetian blinds were also designed to guarantee extremely precise slat angle accuracy. They boast a slender slat design without visible lateral guidance and cannot be seen when retracted. A higher-level sun shading controller guarantees highly precise slat tilting using both the integrated position feedback and the slat tracking, which is based on the position of the sun. The external motor can be integrated into the WAREMA control systems. 8

Clean indoor air When thinking about insect and pollen protection, who would automatically think of fine dust as well? This type of air pollution is the focus of a lot of discussion at the moment. When buying a car, asking about the air particle filter has long been a standard part of the process but clean, pure air should be a priority at home as well in order to protect our health. New additions to the range The WAREMA Inside Project Collection offers 25 new design models with different fabric qualities. There is also a new semitransparent fabric for the XS cassette roller blind. Thanks to a thickness of just 0.13 mm, this fabric fits perfectly into even the smallest cassette. 13
Multi-talented WAREMA roller shutters New guide rails for NA-RO and AU-RO Minimal lateral protrusion of just 2 mm and coverage of the cut edges give the new clip-in insect screen guide rail a flawless appearance. The support profile for NA- RO with outside inspection access has been changed to a 15 mm wide plaster edge. This makes it possible to use standard plastering strips. Sets for on-site lintel boxes On-site lintel boxes are being used more and more frequently. To make on-site installation quicker and easier, WAREMA has created a range of new sets containing components such as fabric bearing shells, ball bearings and shaft cores. All parts are compatible with each other and can be ordered as complete equipment sets. In light of this, a new guide rail has been developed which also has a 15 mm wide plaster edge. This is ideal for plaster work in the case of shaft openings of 80 mm. 14

FEEL-GOOD CLIMATE IN EVERY ROOM The new WMS temperature sensor is the ideal addition to the smart home. The combination of sun and temperature control enables this innovation to control the sun shading system conveniently based on the inside temperature. The sensor measures the room temperature and sends it wirelessly to the WMS network. Depending on the setting, the sun shading system will raise or lower itself automatically when the temperature is reached. Motor adjustments made EASY The new WAREMA smart programming cable provides help quickly when setting end positions for drives. Simply connect the cable to the motor for commissioning. The motor can then be effortlessly adjusted using the integrated keyboard or the optional smartphone app. It s a real time-saver for all fitters. Whereas, in the past, a different cable was required for every motor used by WAREMA, the new smart programming cable is now replacing nine different programming cable variants with immediate effect. It is suitable for almost all 230 V drives used at WAREMA, and can also be used to set the EWFS and WMS radio motors. Now you will always have the right tool to hand. But that s not all the smart programming cable can do. Settings can still be made on the device using the membrane keyboard, but the real bonus with this cable is the option of configuring smart settings using an app. Straightforward step-by-step instructions minimise sources of error. Even if you only adjust a particular motor on rare occasions and you don t have the right instructions to hand, the app will guide you reliably through the process. Effective control OF SUN SHADING DRIVES With the new KNX multiple actuators, depending on the actuator, between two and eight sun shading drives with 24 V of DC voltage or 230 V AC voltage can be controlled independently from one another. Easily changeable miniature fuses ensure optimal line protection of the connected components and therefore provide a safety advantage. These fuses are already present on the actuators as standard. The surface-mounted model is offered with locally connectable push buttons that are available on the KNX bus. The manual override operation allows operation on the actuator at any time. For the surfacemounted model, this is even possible via Bluetooth (using a mobile device). This is a new feature and is currently the only one of its kind on the market.
