CCTV FIRE & SECURITY SOLUTIONS MADE SAFE CCTV Systems specifically designed and tailored for the commercial CCTV market What is CCTV? Closed-circuit television (CCTV), also known as video surveillance, uses video cameras to provide images to a monitor (or recorder) via a private transmission system and is not publicly distributed. CCTV comes in two main forms both of which are normally recorded locally: Self-monitored Remotely monitored using a Remote Video Response Centre (RVRC) CCTV has changed a lot in the 21st Century and in recent years has increased in popularity mainly due to the improved availability of the equipment, leading to lower equipment prices, along with significant increases in performance for both the video cameras and recording solutions. The technology, when designed and implemented correctly, can vastly improve existing security systems and reduce business costs. Current technologies are: Analogue Standard Definition Analogue High Definition video over coaxial cable Internet Protocol (IP) High Definition and Ultra High Definition The most modern systems are the IP type and whilst these use the latest technology and provide superior image quality, this would need to be considered against the budget for a project. It is important to carefully consider placement of cameras in order to achieve efficient and cost effective results.

Why use BGE Digital? We have been designing, installing and maintaining CCTV systems since 2000 We take many factors into consideration when designing CCTV systems Light levels and use of infra-red and/or white light Camera angle and field of view Image resolution and distance to object Frame rate, video quality and compression Aesthetics including camera housings and cable routes Cable and equipment protection Environmental conditions including glare from the sun or other bright lights and foliage growth Bandwidth and storage We use the latest software for system design to ascertain camera views, angles, heights and lens sizes We design, install, service and maintain CCTV systems to National Security Inspectorate (NSI) Code of Practice 104 (NSI NCP 104), BS EN 50132-7 and to BS8418 for detector activated CCTV systems We are independently audited by NSI against the above standards We specialise in IP systems. We can ensure either dedicated networks or secure VLANS are used for your security systems We have experience in the design and installation of advanced systems including: RVRC systems with Police Response Detector activated CCTV Video analytics Public address systems to warn off intruders Audio recording with lip-sync Evidential recordings in compliance with the Police and Criminal Evidence (PACE) Act Multiple monitors and video walls Our Engineers receive regular training We have extensively integrated CCTV with other security systems We have written our own integration modules to provide clients with enhanced systems We are able to take over existing systems to provide maintenance, service and repairs or to expand and/or upgrade parts of a system or systems in their entirety Please feel free to call a member of our Sales team who will be happy to assist with any enquiry and provide further information.

INTRUDER FIRE & SECURITY SOLUTIONS MADE SAFE INTRUDER What is an Intruder and Hold up Alarm System (I&HAS)? An intruder alarm is a system designed to detect intruders and provide protection against burglary and property damage as well as personal protection. A Hold up Alarm is normally installed as part of the intruder alarm system and provides the user with Personal Attack Buttons (PABs) or panic strips to create either an audible or silent alarm. Silent alarms are used only when another person, perhaps a security team, or Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) is alerted. There are three main types of intruder alarm system: Bells only; local sounder(s) at the property Keyholder response; an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) receives messages from the system and then calls nominated persons for alarm and other fault conditions Police Response; confirmed alarm signals are reported to the Police by the ARC Intruder alarm systems are available in both wired and wire free options and even a mixture of the two (hybrid system). There are a range of detectors including motion sensors, magnetic contacts, shock sensors, seismic detectors and break glass detectors. These options allow great flexibility to provide systems that are designed to minimise false alarms and allow maximal detection in all vulnerable areas and potential entry points. An intruder alarm can be a stand-alone system or can be part of a wider security strategy for premises.

Why use BGE Digital? Registered with Essex Police to provide Police response systems Accredited by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) for the design, installation, service and maintenance of Intruder Alarm systems. We comply with EN 50131, PD6662 and to DD263 for commissioning and maintenance in addition to BS 8243 for confirmed alarms (required for Police response) Audited independently by NSI to the above standards and Published Documents (PD) Environmental factors taken into consideration such as heat (including draughts), light and moisture in addition to pets Installers of multiple transmission systems: PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) IP (Internet Protocol) Insurance approved remote signalling equipment installers; connect with an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) for 24 x 7 monitoring: All grades (2, 3 and 4) supported All transmission types supported Remote servicing and support from our secure premises for a fast response and reduced cost Smartphone control of your system to monitor and alert you in the case of an alarm Design of systems to minimise false alarms whilst maximising detection Integrate with other security systems, for example, to set the remote monitoring for a CCTV system or to turn on lights or lock down doors in the event of an alarm We do not tie you in and we do not lock panels we believe you should be able to choose who maintains your system! Documentation and instructions for system installations in addition to reports for service and maintenance or repairs

ACCESS CONTROL FIRE & SECURITY SOLUTIONS MADE SAFE ACCESS CONTROL What is Access Control? Access Control is a method of controlling entry to, movement around and exit from a building or area. BGE Digital implement access control using electronic technologies which include full audit logs for movements of staff, visitors and guests through the use of various technologies including: Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) using a proximity reader with key fobs or cards Biometric systems; currently fingerprint, palm vein or retina readers Magnetic card readers Benefits Reduced costs Can reduce or remove manned guarding of areas Can be centrally managed by approved persons (without leaving your desk): Update user access, either permanent or temporary Unlock doors remotely Lost physical keys are time consuming to locate Lost cards/fobs can be easily removed or blocked; no changing of locks

At BGE Digital we: Design, install and maintain to National Security Inspectorate (NSI) Code of Practice 109 (NSI NCP 109) and are independently audited by NSI against this Will work with you to understand every detail of your requirements and design the system accordingly Actively encourage different thought processes to help you get the most out of your investment Provide a smooth design and installation process for all solutions including new systems, upgrades or additions and replacement of systems Provide a maintenance programme assuring extended operating life and reduction of faults Are always available our support is fast, friendly and competent providing for a long-term relationship and an after-sales service that is second to none Ensure repairs are carried out fully and effectively Are trained and approved installers of market leading access control products Can integrate your access control with other security systems including CCTV, fire alarm, intruder alarm, intercom and building management system (BMS) Offer all types of locking systems including magnetic locks, electric strikes and electric locks Fully understand considerations of fire exit and Equality Act requirements What we do and why choose BGE Digital BGE Digital understand individuality and bespoke requirements of each and every system. We establish the security levels for areas and persons then apply this knowledge to the specific movement around a building ensuring ease of access and reduction of bottlenecks by employing the correct type of access control technologies at each point. Sometimes this will involve internal and / or external physical security elements including turnstiles, speed gates, swing gates, sliding gates etc. Whilst we undertake the electronic element of access control, we work closely with physical security experts to provide a comprehensive solution. Every system is unique to the premises at which it s installed and to the requirements of each customer. We often integrate access control with other systems at a building to provide a holistic premises solution. For example, integration with your CCTV to display certain cameras in the event of a door being forced or to a Fire system to automatically release particular doors in the event of an alarm. BGE have significant experience in the design and installation of bespoke systems on a large and small scale. We are able to work with you to understand exact requirements and provide a system that works for you and your premises.

FIRE FIRE & SECURITY SOLUTIONS MADE SAFE FIRE Legally, all businesses must comply with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (FSO) which became law on 1st October 2006. The Order applies to virtually all premises and nearly every type of building structure and even certain open spaces. Any person that has some level of control in a premises (normally the employer) must take steps to reduce the risk from fire, consider how to contain a fire should one break out and also make sure people can safely escape if there is a fire. All fire alarm designs should be based on an assessment of the risk All Fire Risk Assessments should be carried out by a competent person Fire Risk Assessments must be reviewed regularly What is a Fire Alarm System? A fire alarm system can comprise several different components to alert persons in the event of a fire. These include: Manual call points Automatic fire detection Heat detectors (several types) Smoke detectors CO detectors Aspirating smoke detection The type and quantity of detectors are determined by the category of Fire Alarm system required to comply with the Fire Risk Assessment and also by the size and layout of the areas.

Why use BGE Digital? BGE can provide the following: Compliance with British Standard BS 5839 part 1 : Code of practice for design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of systems in non-domestic premises Phased and/or staged evacuation systems designed and installed Maintenance, service, repairs and takeovers of existing systems Signalling systems installed to connect to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) for 24 x 7 monitoring. ACCESS CONTROL FIRE & SECURITY SOLUTIONS MADE SAFE VIDEO INTERCOM AND DOOR ENTRY What is a Door Entry system? In its simplest form, a door entry system uses a call button at an entrance to allow the user to communicate their wish to enter through the door or at least to alert someone of their presence at the location. This part is the entrance panel. Systems normally incorporate two-way speech to allow the user to speak with the person alerted by the call button who will normally be answering by means of a dedicated door entry handset or by a telephone / mobile phone. It is usual to be able to remotely release the door by pressing a button on the door entry handset or by pressing a specific number on their telephone / mobile phone. It is possible to add a video system to provide images of the caller and include white light or infra-red light for viewing when it is dark. The entry panel can also include methods to open a door or gate from the panel itself by means of a keypad or proximity reader (see our Access Control leaflet) which can be built into the entry panel or a separate unit installed in close proximity. Professional systems provide: Robust panels and handsets Reliability Scalability Excellent speech clarity with a range of adjustments Video systems that show the correct view of the caller, are clear and free of noise Concierge facilities Options that comply with the Equality Act such as beacons and sounders

Why use BGE Digital? We design appropriate systems employing multiple technologies to provide a cost effective solution that meets your requirements. We have considerable experience in providing integration with other systems including access control to allow centralised management or CCTV to display additional cameras on the intercom handset. The entry panel can also deliver its video feed to the CCTV system for recording or viewing elsewhere. We design advanced systems including concierge calling allowing handsets and entry panels to talk to a porter or concierge and also handset to handset intercom calling systems. BGE Digital: Specify suitable technology and communication methods for the premises Analogue calling systems Digital calling systems IP network, hardwired and wireless PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) Provide a variety of systems Audio only Video Handset to handset intercom Concierge Computer based for control and user programming Propose alternative methods of answering Handset based systems Telephone / mobile phone based systems Offer numerous methods of entry and exit Keypad Keyswitch Proximity readers Biometric readers Remote release Push to Exit (PTE) PIR exit (internal) Free exit loop (for gates) Beam detection (internal or external) We re independent and install many different manufacturers systems ensuring you always get the best solution
