Exchange surface, motor efficiency, various insulation, friction and pressure drop reduction in the air flow inside the AHU are just some of the most important parameters considered in the development of the design. All of this provides a product ready to be easily inserted in the system and capable of contributing to overall energy savings. There are solutions with thermal break (60x60mm section) or rounded profile (suitable for applications in the food sector or in general, where a high level of hygiene is required). All profiles are a double fin type for total covering of the screws and to avoid penetration within the AHU section (in compliance with the current safety s) and they are also provided with dovetail seals in order to secure the maximum sealing. The structure is completed with three-way connecting, nylon reinforced with glass fiber put on corners while the base, independent for each section, is in extruded aluminium from size to 7 and in galvanized steel from 8 to 27 with aluminium pressure die-cast corners to facilitate lifting. 2 - Panels The panels are made of double skin, box-folded and can be flat (FP) or step type (SP). The step panels permit a flat surface inside the unit, ensuring continuity between the panel and the profile. Insulation can be made of polyurethane foam (density 0 50 kg/m 3 ) or high density mineral wool, glued to the panel (density 90 kg/m 3 ). Flat panel Mineral wool as Step panel Polyurethane foam 3 - Fittings The fasteners are from non-corrosive material, self-tapping screws, located in nylon bush and retained in the panel with an external cap. This system completely hides the screws in the panel and thanks to the self-fastening and self-centring screws, the tightness over time is ensured. Fastener - Doors The doors for inspection and internal service can be provided with outward opening or inward opening for positive pressurized sections. There are solutions with hinges to allow left or right openings, or even the total removal of the door. The portholes are double-wall type made of polycarbonate and with sealing gaskets. The fastening system only enter the polycarbonate structure and the continuous internal-external gasket, prevents the formation of condensation and ensures maximum sealing. Nylon bush Closure cap Fitting 5 - Humidification In the humidification section, when the evaporative humidifier solution is utilized, the unit is equipped with a double basin. There are possible solutions for the total extraction of the entire humidification block or just the evaporative packing. Alternatively when the nozzle solution is utilized, the unit is equipped with a humidification chamber to prevent that water sprayed the section panels. 6 - Filters Particular attention is paid, during the configuration of the unit, to the position of the filters in the airflow, in order to maximize their effectiveness. All filters are mounted on frames, provided with a seal to ensure an effective filtration efficiency. In addition, all units are designed to allow the extraction of the filters from the dirt side in order to avoid possible contamination with the air stream during maintenance.
7 - Fan-motor assembly The Fan-Motor is composed of a single structure made of two aluminium profiles which help to absorb transmitted shock and a motor mounted on a tensioning slide. The structure is directly fixed on the aluminium profiles to transfer the weight onto the structure of the AHU, ensuring the maximum vibration isolation. With this solution it ensured that the AHU does not transmit vibrations to any flat surface on which it is installed. 8 - Control Upon request units can be provided with a regulation and control system that can manage the unit independently, or communicate with the external supervision system. Control panel power section, microprocessor, sensors to measure temperature, humidity and air quality, regulation valves, safety devices and control are just some of the components that can be proposed upon request in order to provide an even more comprehensive product and faster installation. Range There is a wide range that covers an area of air flow rates from 800 m 3 /h up to 0.000 m 3 /h, with the possibility to choose the more appropriate face velocity, depending on the treatment required. In addition, with the same air flow, the cross section dimension ratio (width x height) can be adapted to the dimensional constraints of the installation. All sizes are modularly constructed to facilitate transport and easy assembly on site. With the absence of any welding points the AHU units, on request, can be supplied completely dismantled to allow assembly directly on site.
